Thanks. That drum opening and then it doesn't stop. This is up in my top 5 list. The more I listen to it the better it gets. Hats off to Muki for those tinkling bits in my left ear and Saiki's lower vocals are something else, MISA lifting the grung up, Kanami, just wow and anyone notice the metal plate under Akane's kit to prevent her from breaking the floor?
This song was a response to endless Story being such a soft pop ballad. They didn't want people to forget they're a Hardcore band. So they put this out to re-emphasize The Gap between how they look and how they sound. You still haven't done 'Take Me Higher' LIVE, or any BAND-MAIKO Music Videos.
Pretty cool that they followed up 'endless Story' with a nice heavy one like this. Not my absolute favorite, but it is climbing its way up there each time I hear it. Can't wait till the new album comes out next month. : )

MISA MISA MISA! for 3 years 5 months I did not have an outright Fav Band-Maid song, then I heard Rinne and well............ Those little accents and the intricate stuff in the solo are done by our little Pigeon who has only been playing for 5 years all the while Touring, Promoting, writing the Lyrics and generally being the cutest thing out there.
Dave... you know as a Babymetal fan if I was to recommend a new reactor a video, it would prob be something from like 4-5 years ago... but Band Maid you would have no problem recommending Rinne or something off of World Domination, prob less so their earlier stuff .... that to me is great sign this band is not even close to peaking... they totally squashed the going soft conspiracy and it's going to be exciting to see where they take it in the next frontier

"The Dragon Cries" will be available (pre-release) on music subscription services (Spotify, iTunes) on November 20. And Band Maid probably never recorded such a slow and at the same time such a heavy song. MISA`s bass is like a step of a giant dragon, walking majestically and hammer you into the ground. Madness. Now I would like to see MV for this song. If there will be no MV, I would be very surprised. I have just listened to the whole in a lossless version, and it seems to me that the whole text is sung in English. One thing is certain, I would like this sound engineering and mixing to apply to all Band Maid songs!!!
I would be terrible having my own react channel because often it takes me a few listens to really "get" a song. I was that way with this song, but when when I bought it and listened to it a few times... wow! It is very special to me now.

Paulina Villarreal from The Warning Hana from Doll$Boxx and Jen Ledger from Skillet are all drummers/co-vocalists so they get more of the spotlight than drummers in some other bands.
This song reminds me a lot of Paramore, but of course Band Maid's drummer, guitarists, and bassist are light years better. This song is one of their better ones because the vocalists toned down their pop, which makes it more fitting with the shredding.
The first listen doesn't do the song justice...even though we can geat its good...the more ypu listen to it the more apparently ir gets that they hsve kiclef it up a notch with this one... on all cylinders...I wasn't sure it was possible! It also shows they are not agraid to take risks in their composition...still experimenting, playing around, and making it work... I love this track... I kibd of think alot of it is Kanami's onstage persona is evolving... she's just letting go here more yhan before... mayve its just me...:) Shrug...

Kanami promises an even heavier tune on the upcoming album Conqueror entitled Dilemma. Out December 11th. After watching Babymetal at Aftershock here in Sacramento l am much more favorably inclined. Babymetal is quality entertainment (there. I said it.) But Babymetal is not in the same league as Band-Maid. Not even close. And truth be told the only thing the two groups have in common is they both are Japanese. That's about it. For me, l discovered one can like Babymetal and love Band-Maid. And Band-Maid never went anywhere to be back from. The story of Ren-ne is the story of a serial murderer who filmed his victims dying in 8mm to be examined later for signs of the endless cycle of death and rebirth. That is the meaning of Ren-ne. Subject matter worthy of Ozzy. There is no better hard rock band anywhere on the planet today. Fact.
Amen, brother. I agree with you 100% in regards to Babymetal and Band-Maid. I appreciate Babymetal's J-pop/heavy metal fusion along with their stage theatrics. However, Band-Maid is balls-to-the-walls hardcore rock!

I was beginning to think you had given up on Band Maid, mistakenly thinking you'd done all their best songs now. You are only about 1/3 of the way through. My suggestion for the next one, Secret My Lips th-cam.com/video/SPgKG8MCDjA/w-d-xo.html partly because it leads neatly onto the obvious one after that "Secret Maiko Lips", th-cam.com/video/NNHGABwme50/w-d-xo.html which is the same song played by the band's alter ego "Band Maiko" where they dress as geishas and changed the music to include some traditional Japanese instruments. They change some of the lyrics too, but I can't imagine it's too likely that you'd spot certain lines have been changed to use the Kyoto dialect.
The opening sounds like the opening to a Baby Metal song even with shots of the drummers feet, a Baby Metal staple. Would it be possible for you guys to react to The Warning Band and their great song The End (Stars Always Seem to Fade) from their epic album Queen of the Murder Scene.
