It's really nice to see the two I never even thought of comparing them because I've always knew the story and how things will end but side to side what damn good comparison. In xenoverse we see it from like a 3rd person glimpse but of course the timeline and other aspects affect the outcome. From Kakarot we see it from the similar but with more details. It's takes the same storyline from the anime and makes it feel as if you rewatching the show that lead us here. Almost a nostalgic vibe to it. Both games are good and even though xenoverse is my preferred choice to play, Kakarot is just as good.

Personally I think DBZ Kakarot is the best of the animations. The character’s flowing hair and clothes move has they should move like it’s reality. Makes me want to turn the fan on and dry my hair. Xenoverse did cutscenes alright. However the clothes debris and hair is stiff and awkward in that game, and like the animator who worked on DBZ episode 232 before becoming a designer to adapt Toriyama’s , the characters look too plastic looking. The problem with Xenoverse 2 is that the developers refuse to do any work in visually representing and animating the characters unless absolutely necessary. It's why Kaioken only makes your stats slightly better and your health drain slightly faster, but the aura and body model stay the same, despite knowing that the aura does intensify a little with every power up of the technique and the body's muscles expand making the character slightly more muscular. It's why we haven't got Super Saiyan 4 despite people asking for it since Xenoverse 1 but they can give us every other transformation as long as it only changes the hair color. It's why there are no great ape transformations despite being an old request by many at this point. Its why Super Vegeta transformations doesn’t make you more muscular but only changes your stats. This has been an ongoing issue since Xenoverse 1 and nothing has been done about it, this is why Xenoverse 1 and 2 almost look like free to play games despite being a 60$ game with a ton of dlc, visuals do not matter for the developers of Xenoverse 1 and 2 problem is they do matter for Dragon Ball as a whole.
I only have two Dragon Ball games. Kakarot and Raging Blast 2. And I think that’s the reason why I’m having so much fun with Kakarot, is because I’m comparing it to the only other dragon ball game that I have. I’ve never played any of the Xenoverse series. And after reading your comment, I don’t think I ever will. Because the lack of animations really takes a toll on the immersion.
I was SOO mad when I bought kakarot because I thought the game was bad because there wasn't much you can do and the rpg elements were just bad but the game actually is a good representation of it. It took me my second try to realize I was playing a game that was for dbz fans entirely by letting you play the story and in the world of dbz at the same time. All in all it was the detail in the world that made me love it. The cutscenes were just the cherry on top

I noticed the difference in the first special beam cannon cutscene, because I always loved how the Xenoverse cutscene showed the beam cannon kinda drill through Raditz and Goku, which I always loved. And when I saw it in Kakorot it just didn't have the same feeling
Personally I have not a single clue on what you're talking about especially the drilling part when I played Xenoverse it kind of felt a little underwhelming to me especially after playing Kakarot especially since at the end of the special beam Cannon they don't even have a hole in their chests which is kind of weird since they're okay with showing blood
To me, the only tie between the two is the super saiyan scene. Xenoverse had more emotion, and good camera angles. But Kakarot had obviously better detail to graphics and such. So what I'm trying to get at is that if they copy pasted the super saiyan scene into Kakarot with it's graphics, I wouldn't have minded. Just my opinion.
Not really. I feel like the Kakarot one is so much more emotional than the Xenoverse one. It’s longer and more dramatic, the “angles” in Xenoverse are just the camera rolling around Goku a couple of times and then poof. Kakarot had far more intense facial expressions, and was more loyal to the source material. It was actually on the little island left after the Genkidama instead of some random Namekian plains. Just my thoughts tough.

In Kakarot, in Majin Vegeta Death You can feel how honest but semi-happy Vegeta sounds And how confuse but also worried Trunks sounds and sees Man, that's a good damn combination bettween VA and Graphics
Daniel Hounshell Yeah. To be honest, DBZ characters actually move a lot better in Kakarot. They felt too shiny in Xenoverse, the hair is too still and plastic looking (Which includes an animator who worked on the Goku vs Majin Vegeta fight in the anime.) For reasons, I do prefer the flowing hair, and DBZ Kakarot has it.

XV2 felt like the hair is WAY TOO STIFF that Raditz's hair in that game colides to Goku's body. That's not how animation works. In terms of fluffy hair and moving clothes, Kakarot is CLEARLY better and lively.
It's sad because this proves the Bandai knows for a fact that galick gun has an aura. The you feel disappointed when your galick gun, earth splitting galick gun, and super galick gun doesn't give you a sick purple aura whenever you use it.
In the Manga i love to think that when Goku charges a Kamehameha (back in the Dragonball Z time of the Dragonball Manga) he just like the Galick Gun gets a Thin Blue Aura around his Body ...... which would show that they shoot it from their Body but their Hands direct the Energy .... also this is somewhat my proof but Gohan pushing everything against Cell shows the Kamehameha coming from all around his Body not just the Palm of his Hand
Dragon Ball Xenoverse was a little more fast pasted while in Kakarot they added more expression in the story line which in my opinion makes is better than Xenoverse
Kakarot did a great job following the story and graphics were well done. Xenoverse gave a whole new perspective to the story. I like kakarot better bc I didn’t have to watch every episode and I could be involved in the story but both games are great

I honestly and this is my opinion, like Kakarot better. Not because it is newer or better graphics, but because it lets us see the side scenes such as Vegeta getting used to earth before Goku got back from yardrat, little scenes like that make the game more like the anime than xenoverse. But Xenoverse included customization for your own character, events and custom partners. The story may just be a copy n paste from the first one but still has an original vibe to it. So if this happend we got the ultimate game. DBZ Kakarot graphics DBXV2 Character customization DBZ Kakarot character looks DBXV2 DLC like Blue Evolved Vegeta or Tapion or Android 13 DBZ Kakarot storyline mixed with DBXV2 stuff like time patrollers. Like side things we don't see in other games besides Kaakrot. Like the WHOLE fight with Majin Vegeta and Buu. Or SSJ3 Transformation.
Dragon ball z kakarot is so amazing . Very nice graphics than xenoverse 2 . I loved xenoverse 2 but now dragon ball z kakarot is my favourite game off all time dragon ball z . Cut scenes are awesome and jiggle physics of clothes and hairs are so well done . I really love it ❤❤❤. I really appreciate the producer of the game who made it and the whole crew for making such a great game.

I think they've used the same style on fighter z. They put cameras in a certain place so the exaggeration of the face does match the scene

Daniel Hounshell Yeah. To be honest, DBZ characters actually move a lot better in Kakarot. They felt too shiny in Xenoverse, the hair is too still and plastic looking (Which includes an animator who worked on the Goku vs Majin Vegeta fight in the anime.)
For reasons, I do prefer the flowing hair, and DBZ Kakarot has it.

XV2 felt like the hair is WAY TOO STIFF that Raditz's hair in that game colides to Goku's body. That's not how animation works.
In terms of fluffy hair and moving clothes, Kakarot is CLEARLY better and lively.

In the Manga i love to think that when Goku charges a Kamehameha (back in the Dragonball Z time of the Dragonball Manga) he just like the Galick Gun gets a Thin Blue Aura around his Body ...... which would show that they shoot it from their Body but their Hands direct the Energy .... also this is somewhat my proof but Gohan pushing everything against Cell shows the Kamehameha coming from all around his Body not just the Palm of his Hand

Dragon Ball Xenoverse was a little more fast pasted while in Kakarot they added more expression in the story line which in my opinion makes is better than Xenoverse
Kakarot did a great job following the story and graphics were well done. Xenoverse gave a whole new perspective to the story. I like kakarot better bc I didn’t have to watch every episode and I could be involved in the story but both games are great

A mi me gustaba mucho Dragon Ball Xenoverse y la secuela, pero todo cambio, ya que uno podía jugarlo en solitario, pero ellos ahora decidieron hacerlo completamente multijugador, así que ellos subieron el nivel minimo para ganar las batallas hasta 50, eso quiere decir que tu tienes que pasar varias horas, luchando una y otra vez hasta pasar ese nivel para comenzar realmente la historia del juego y acceder a los demás, cuando en Kakarot, todo el tutorial es parte de la historia, la Saga Saiyayin y el juego te recompensa por saber las mecanicas del juego.
Y además los gráficos de xenoverse son muy malos y los de kakarot son buenísimos

I honestly and this is my opinion, like Kakarot better. Not because it is newer or better graphics, but because it lets us see the side scenes such as Vegeta getting used to earth before Goku got back from yardrat, little scenes like that make the game more like the anime than xenoverse. But Xenoverse included customization for your own character, events and custom partners. The story may just be a copy n paste from the first one but still has an original vibe to it. So if this happend we got the ultimate game.
