I had a cat that when my mom was upset(she has alot of mental health) would lay next to her head and purr to calm her down he would lay there for hours even after she fell asleep I remember only once where he left her he went to the kitchen so he probably was thirsty or hungry after a little bit mom started to wake up and he ran right back into the room and played next to moms head against and started purring. Stuff like this is why I always argue over the cats are assholes thing because they arent they just arent clingy as dog people want them to be

It’s worth it. When I first got my cat I was afraid he wasn’t gonna be affectionate like my last cat because we got him when he was an adult. And he wasn’t, at first, but now we have had him for two years and he is the most clingy animal I have ever met ☠️

My kitty was a healer - my whole family is convinced she had magical healing powers! People that talk about cats like they don't care aren't patient enough to earn their trust and their love -and those people are missing out! When a shy or "mean" cat comes up into my lap, that's one of life's greatest victories to me 🥰

I believe it's a healing medicine!!
@@sourgreendolly7685 it’s actually scientifically proven that the purr and kneading of a cat even just for a little bit actually has a healing effect.. it’s not necessarily a lot but you definitely notice if you live with an affectionate cat..
My cat will cuddle me and purr when I have a migraine and it goes away after a couple hours… before I got him my migraines would last for days and I would get multiple a week I took so much medicine it doesn’t even work anymore.. but I cuddle my lovable kitty and they just go away

All my cat does is sleep 😅 but every so often he craves a little attention here and there. He's very sweet, but don't put kittens in his path or he will hiss at them.
(The reason he hisses at kittens is because he doesn't like kids. I feel bad for the kittens ngl bc they're so cuteee, what harm could they do to my cat?. He's just overdramatic - )
Love that purr! It reminded me of the time where someone who never had any experience with cats asked me about the strange sound his wife's new cat was making. He told me when the cat sat in his lap and he was petting it, it made a sound like "RRRRR...RRRRR...RRRRR" and I had to explain to him what purring is! It was one of the genuinely best moments of my adult life.

I can actually recall the first purr I ever heard and it was only a few years ago, I was like 19 or 20, I was watching a YT vid about cheetahs and there was a bunch of footage of them purring. I had obviously heard of the concept of purring, but had literally never been around any cats, so that was the first time I actually heard it (and I quickly fell in love with the sound). I have a cat now tho and he purrs super loudly all the time lol
I find it even cuter to think that the guy was worried about the kitty making a ‘funny sound’ and thought there was something wrong with it lmao.

Stay with me on this; it has cats. While house-hunting many years ago, one particular residence on the market had a very interesting interior (at least on the first floor). Being shown through the place, you couldn't help but notice that the living room had a certain definite decorative trend: _Everything_ was done in black and gray -- I'm talking furniture, walls, ceiling, carpeting, nick-nacks, and lighting. Then there were the two cats: One black; one gray. They were draped over the back of the gray sofa, a few feet apart and facing each, very serene and just chilling out. They barely paid any attention to us. That must have been the first time for the real estate agent showing the place, because she was as impressed as I was. The seller must have really loved those kitties.
I had a carpet in my room that was black, white and a kind of brassy-gold color. My cat at the time was a Japanese Bobtail calico, and she matched the colors almost exactly. I still have a photo of her on that rug.

I lost my cat Azizi at the beginning of November. I raised him from a kitten and he was only 18 months old. He was my everything. He went out one night and never came back, and I've been grieving ever since. Archie reminds me so much of my little boy, and he gives me so much comfort. Thank you for sharing him with us.

@@tblazer4932 my brother does this with his cat, unfortunately Chewy does wake up and use the litter box, eat, have water and tends to notice that his human is not where he left him when he settled down for his nap 😴 so he starts yowling and crying 😭 and we have to give him cuddles until he is happy 😊

That is unironically a great way to relieve stress. I think i read it somewhere, but cat's purring are of a specific frequency that helps relax and relieve stress. I already had my cat sit next to me and feel my whole body shaking, I can only immagine how good it feels to have 4 cats do the same thing.

He's soo cute.. He looks, and sounds like one of our cats we lost back in July of last year. He was around 15 years old, his name was Tyger, he had the loudest, deepest purrs you could ever imagine. Accompanied by fluffy fur, meowing at me every morning, and going limp on my lap when he fell asleep... I miss him a lot, we lost three cats last year and one of them was only 4-5 years old, he was sick and we couldn't afford the vet care. I love cats so much, Archie is a sweet boy.

Kittens don't get as scared moving house but if you ever move Archie when he's a year or older keep him indoors for 3 weeks, adult cats get afraid being moved and run away regardless if they know you or not, it's just their nature to go back to safe territory. So glad you've already moved and that Archie is settled in! He's 1 in a million! 🥰🥰🥰
Or better yet, keep him as an indoor cat and let him live twice as long.
@StamfordBridge some cats need their outdoors, no matter what io does, whether he spends all day napping inside or such, he will always go out for a stroll on his own, he really likes being an outdoor cat
@@O-bearer-mine If you let your cat go outdoors, it will probably like it and get used to it and want to keep the habit (I definitely wouldn’t go far as saying they “need” it; they don’t). And while I’m not saying it’s evil to let a cat outside, any owner has to balance this choice with the knowledge that letting the cat outdoors means, statistically, the cat will live a much, much shorter life.

most are cute and lovely but every so often you find a cat that's just a complete psychopath and a lot of people hate cats because they owned a really difficult cat or had a bad experience with one i've known a couple cats that were complete assholes and would scratch anyone who came near them but my cats are very affectionate and cute so it definitely varies depending on the cat

Thank you for this. It really lifted my spirits. This brought me to tears, we tragically lost our family cat only a couple weeks ago. We had gotten him when we were in a bad time somewhere in 2020. We raised him from a kitten and he grew to be a handsome young cat, he was only 2 years old. We didn't even get to bury him or celebrate his birthday. It's always hard seeing cats out playing and being raised well. He had gone outside like he usually did, but he never returned. He can't come and meow at us for food or fall asleep on my stomach anymore. He truly brought my family joy, and I just know it won't be the same. R.I.P. Tiberius Tiger P., we miss you, and we love you❤️
