Isn't Kirk just the best? He's my local guy! I recently got a "Condor" nib done by Richard Binder probably 20 years ago that looks like that Concord. Isn't that cool?? I love it so so much! Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Hey Wendi Sue...he is the best, Kirk is. So down to earth and knowledgeable. I saw your video about your Condor nib and realized it and the Concorde I got are both the same nib. It's such a cool nib grind isn't it?

Couple of the grinds I got to test at Kirk's table I know I want to have Gena do on my other TWSBIs if theyr're available. I can tell you already that I am already HOOKED. Mmmmh! Mmmmh! Mmmmh!!! I haven’t had a custom nib grind done yet but I did decide when I was trying different inks at the Atlanta pen show I would use TWSBIs for special grinds. I love them anyway and Anderillium used tuned and smoothed TWSBIs for testing inks - it was wonderful! Enjoy your new grinds!

Just so happened that Kirk Speer ended up coming to my local pen shop and I didn't miss it (altho I am in that shop A LOT 🤪). That was lucky indeed. Now I know what to look for at ou rPNW pen show in July and get to test out the waters further.

Another great option are Jowo or Bock nibs on all the fun custom resin pens out there - easy to buy just the nib & feed housing (including from some nibmeisters like Kirk) and swap in and out of pens. I love my two nibs done by Kirk - one just tuned, and the other an architect.

Beautiful! I did the same when I started trying grinds, except with JOWO instead of TWSBI. Now I'm sure that my favorite is the cursive italic, so I did have it done on a Pelikan and a few other pens with nibs that aren't interchangeable. Your video made me want to try the Concord!
I was so scared to try nib grinds on any of my pens until I heard of trying it 1st on relatively inexpensive pens to get a feel for if that nib grind would suit my style of writing. The CSI nib grind is the most fantastic thing ever invented 😆....Oooh! You need to try that Concord nib (or whatever a particular nibmeister calls it). So frikken cool to write with!!!!!

The Diamond 580 and Vac Mini can accept replacement nib units that are less expensive than a whole pen (I've also swapped nibs on my Swipe without a problem).
Sarah I think it's the best way to go. Glad the video helped. And you're right, getting replacement nibs for when you want to go back to what the original nib was in a pen is always available to you.
I'm so excited! The PNW will be the first pen show I've ever attended. I have always loved pens, pencils, markers...I love writing instruments. I got into fountain pens about fifteen years ago. Never once did I think to look for pen shows. Knowing that you'll be there makes it even more exciting. Hopefully, you'll be there Saturday so I can say "hi!" This video is a fabulous advertisement for nib meisters. You just sold me on a custom grind. :)

Just found your channel. Love it❤. Love Kirk’s grinds! He’s very personable. I have 2 so far. I’ve gone with Twsbi each time also. I chose my grind first and asked which nib should I get and bought it at the Dallas pen show. I will definitely write in my own notebook with each of his pens to have examples to take with me next time.

I bought one of Kirk's CSI nibs with the 'Nib Wolf' logo on it, and put it on a Leonardo MZG2.0.

Sorry for the delay... some nibmeisters sell nibs from their shops in a specific grind. If going to a nibmeister, I would bring a pen body with it
