I dont believe there is a goodwill very close in their area. Plus in the LA area it takes a lot longer to get around than some places due to traffic is much heavier there. So getting to goodwill, finding a vhs player, getting back and setting it up would have taken longer than the discord would have taken
I feel like when Deb is in automatic mode, it's kind of like those voice messages that ask you press a certain number to go to a specific area or to hear information from a different department. Deb probably put that in place in case she's ever away or trying to concentrate on her project, until she hears a certain thing that makes her want to talk in person
Short Theory: The trap set up at Location 3 has something to do with the serum which could cause them to go insane or something along those lines. (plus Deb stated the traps set were meant to keep her/them there.) But since Woods broke his antidote earlier he might be in danger and one of them might give up their own antidote for him to survive.

Technically speaking at the point when he is saying to deb that all she cares about more is the project is very accurate to every military mission. In a mission for the military, the government focuses on the mission before the soldier's safety as so to keep the mission still going.
Im a military kid and the mission is the most important part but if a soldier is hurt the others will cary they back to the med truck and try to save them if the fail to save them or they are already dead then they save there bodies and hold a proper funeral for the fallen soldiers. By 'trap there permanently' it could mean that the trap involves somehow giving you serum. Deb wanted you to take the antidote which means she must know this and is therefor trying to save you.

this honestly gave me chills! I love the raw emotions and (spot on acting). I love the point that this makes that it's okay to make mistakes, and sometimes those mistakes can truly deeply hurt us but it's never too late. I may be looking a little bit too far into this, but I really do love this series, and I'm glad I can call myself a proud member of Subject #4.

I was getting really irritated thinking, "Bruh, with the time you wasted searching Red Base for something you _knew_ wouldn't be there and wasting even more time on Discord, you could have gone to Goodwill, bought a VCR and watched the tape 3 times!" Besides which, they really should just have a VCR on hand, as they very likely will encounter more "outdated" 90s era media tech before this is all over. Matt wants to be more proactive during this, and it would be a proactive move to acquire relevant 90s tech to have on hand so that this kind of situation doesn't happen again.

In order to presume max safety for Matt he needs a more lethal weapon. Yes this is harsh but it is for his safety. He will also need to keep his mind steady, Vengeance is not the answer, nor is it the objective. We have run into this problem before. He will need to do a perimeter check to look for Sam's Car or whoever car it was and if it's still there go in but if not he will need to take extreme precautions as if it is a trap for him.. then the unimaginable will happen. He is a husband and father so if this doesn't go well.. no no it has to go well, there is no other answer. Matt if you are reading this, you may feel you don't have time but you NEED to think properly or this whole project will go into flames.. not just the project but everything will burn. Please take your time it is the only way to make this go as safely as possible.

Usually when it gets too intense I skip to the end, see what happens then rewatch it. But when I watch it live I just have to live with the intensity 😂

Technically speaking at the point when he is saying to deb that all she cares about more is the project is very accurate to every military mission. In a mission for the military, the government focuses on the mission before the soldier's safety as so to keep the mission still going.
but still, although in the grand scheme less important, can the mission be done without people to do it?
Im a military kid and the mission is the most important part but if a soldier is hurt the others will cary they back to the med truck and try to save them if the fail to save them or they are already dead then they save there bodies and hold a proper funeral for the fallen soldiers. Most modern military’s doesn’t work like that, yes the mission is first but the us military for example works on a compass of soldier pride. There’s a reason “no man left behind” is a thing
@@althist2nd950 yes but most of the time if a soldier is minimally hurt and doesn't need immediate help he can get him/her self to a safe area while the other soldiers go on. Also a tiny portion of no man left behind is more of a Hollywood thing.
@@Delta37815 yeah but as you say yourself that’s a case of minimal damage and in this case deb know nothing of the situation and was told it was an emergency and still didn’t care and while leave no man behind is a Hollywood thing, it’s roots are based in us military pride and more notable service brotherhood.

By 'trap there permanently' it could mean that the trap involves somehow giving you serum. Deb wanted you to take the antidote which means she must know this and is therefor trying to save you.

this honestly gave me chills! I love the raw emotions and (spot on acting). I love the point that this makes that it's okay to make mistakes, and sometimes those mistakes can truly deeply hurt us but it's never too late. I may be looking a little bit too far into this, but I really do love this series, and I'm glad I can call myself a proud member of Subject #4.

Seriously! I was getting really irritated thinking, "Bruh, with the time you wasted searching Red Base for something you _knew_ wouldn't be there and wasting even more time on Discord, you could have gone to Goodwill, bought a VCR and watched the tape 3 times!"
Besides which, they really should just have a VCR on hand, as they very likely will encounter more "outdated" 90s era media tech before this is all over. Matt wants to be more proactive during this, and it would be a proactive move to acquire relevant 90s tech to have on hand so that this kind of situation doesn't happen again.

There were four originally, one was given to the cameraman.
Quinn, Matt and Sam still have theirs, so if Quinn stays behind Woods can use his, but Matt doesn't know Woods has destroyed his so that probably won't happen. :(

Theory:
Remember, D3b said they ALL need their antidotes hinting towards that they might be injected and need it. However, if you remember, Woods destroyed his. That leads me to believe that when the antidote is needed, Matt will give Woods his antidote in order to save him. Inadvertently causing Matt to become evil and become consumed by the serum causing Matt to become the next Nelson Syphus. Like if you agree 👍🏻
himmmmmmm. i would normally say Quinn shouldn't come with matt so he can give the antidote to woods BUT at the time of the video, he does not know that woods "dropped" his antidote so of course Quinn is gonna come. So I think you might be right

Don’t think Quinn will go bc of the dangers, and Sam also left hers, there would only be 3 antidotes if Matt were to grab all of them and if Quinn were to stay behind at the studio. I doubt Matt would become like syphus, they could talk to deb to find more antidotes for him
But as we believe, Wes is the one who is injected with the serum so if we think about this nelson,deb,wes-matt,sam,woods theory that would mean if woods were to consume the serum he would truly become Wes

Theory: Matt, Woods and Sam are clones of Nelson, Wes and Deb.
It sounds crazy but Deb said that you subjects 1,2 and 3 remind her of her, Wes and Nelson when they were together. And Deb hides her face and real voice so it COULD be possible, not most likely, but possible. And so does the phantom.

I could have been in 2-3 Goodwills in the time the conversation with Deb happened.
The "Deb" in the monochrome "chat", is actually Samantha...Same mannerisms.
yeah I noticed this before and cannot unsee it, the way she talks too. Also, I believe the tape they listened to was Sam and Woods having a conversation with slight voice change put on, cannot unhear them now ha!
I wasn’t sure, I thought it was but I didn’t think they would use one of the main talent members to play more than one role in the story so I wasn’t certain.
It definitely looks like Sam wearing a lab coat and potentially glasses in the green simulation of “Deb”
@@purplemageproductions1971 If Deb is never on camera with Sam, or Deb's parts can't be prerecorded, then it would be impossible....But Sam playing the part of Deb on a video...An Apple II never had video capabilities, and even the earliest web cameras dealt with video signals, and not ASCI characters to produce a "video"....So, my theory is that Deb is a video of Sam, put through a filter to make it resemble ASCI characters, or like something from "The Matrix".....
Before this video goest out, I think haveing Sam and Woods at location three isn’t a trap for them, it is for Matt!!!!!
In order to presume max safety for Matt he needs a more lethal weapon. Yes this is harsh but it is for his safety. He will also need to keep his mind steady, Vengeance is not the answer, nor is it the objective. We have run into this problem before. He will need to do a perimeter check to look for Sam's Car or whoever car it was and if it's still there go in but if not he will need to take extreme precautions as if it is a trap for him.. then the unimaginable will happen. He is a husband and father so if this doesn't go well.. no no it has to go well, there is no other answer. Matt if you are reading this, you may feel you don't have time but you NEED to think properly or this whole project will go into flames.. not just the project but everything will burn. Please take your time it is the only way to make this go as safely as possible.
