Beta Bully - The Rumble & Fighting Johnny Vincent recreated missions

- The missions at their core remained the same, but with a TON of scrapped interactions between peds, especially greasers.
After chasing Peanut, some greasers would ambush you, and after dealing with them, Peanut would have told you Johnny's location.
Gord would help you after rescuing him from some greasers.
After finding Johnny, you had to fight another wave of greasers, before the cops would show up.
Pete would not have been there to help with Johnny, instead, you had to enable the magnet by yourself. (Some greasers would have also been able to disable it again)
Post-release notes:
Right before the cops came, there was an interaction between Jimmy and Vance, where Jimmy asked for Johnny's location and Vance refused to tell him. I forgot to script that.
As found out by @deadpoolXYZ, you may have actually chased Peanut on foot, rather than on a bike.

What i like about this mission is that the beta version is more of you actually participating in the rumble, rather than just you following peanut and ending it. I dont like the anti activity in the real mission, but its still good. I also like the fact that u shoot the button on the crane rather than pete being spawned there for no reason. nice job.

It's almost cinematic, especially when Gord comes running up beside you and launches at Norton.
Even though it probably wasn't even scripted, it was awesome nevertheless.

I wonder why Rockstar in almost all their games have the obsession of cutting content that makes them much more complete.

Beta version of this mission is best as compared as todays alpha version and also including a partner who companied to smash down these goons in alley 4:04

this game was a lot more detailed and polished in the beta version. many possibilities, and many dialogues and their variations regarding them. it's such a shame this version (the good parts) didn't see the light of day, otherwise this game could have been so much greater and detailed than it already is

5:29 Or maybe Jimmy himself could be caught in the magnet and then this audio would play. Think about it, if the magnet could be turned off that means Jimmy could grab the bike himself and then a greaser would turn it back on to mess up with you. Also gives a decent reason to why you would have to eliminate all the greasers before actually turning off the crane yourself.

I can kinda see why they cut some of this stuff out, some of it is redundant, unnecessary, and a bit choppy and useless at times. Still pretty interesting, nice recreation also!

annoying edit: I've played the PS2 version nonstop on an emulator. but I'd say I prefer the Wii more than the PS2 even though the control is a bit complicated

Everything's in the Rumble / Fighting Johnny mission make so much sense and it is alot much better than Final version no Wonder why they didn't kept it since it make the game so much better as beta version but now decided changes it. Great job rockstar, but hey atleast bully is still best game ever that rockstar made if rockstar kept this in bully so it make so much funs alot since seeing Jimmy ask gord to back him up and Gord will back him up so it makes Gord good Characters alot.
Socs vs greasers
looking at these cut scenes and the remarks of some students that they allegedly kill Jimmy,
perhaps there is some truth in them, well, at least in one of the cut scenes at the chemical plant, where Edgar says that Jimmy is dead, and after losing, he pours acid on him, well This is just one scene of Jimmy's death was posted on TH-cam by a popular person who also specializes in the bully beta a little bit, but what if more ways were planned to kill him, and the realization of this makes the game even more gloomy
In the final game for some reason Pete appear out of nowhere to help Jimmy. It makes no sense! I really like this one better.
Chapter 3 is basically the Outsiders but only with more interesting characters and an even more powerful climax and final act. Don't debate me on that you know it's true.

Could you still shoot the button of the crane of the crane in the final version without helping Pete to get him there?

With the hole Hal was a bullie thing i think i mite of found evidence to support that. Correct me if im wrong.
If you closely look at Hals shirt under his jacket you can see the full bullyworth crest on it. Also if you look at the blue on the shirt it kinda looks like the bullworth vest Jimmy wears and as you know the bullies originally had bullworth vests like Jimmy's. Again correct me if im just completely wrong about this.

@@NiCoNiCoNiCola yeah but hals seems to be the only one actually showing the logo. Kinda like they tryed to cover it up but they did it very lazily. Its not that far fetched since in some areas of the map you can see things like opens in walls and floating objects.

Depending on the mission I either replace its original counterpart or ArcRace1.lur. (And other files)
They're not really playable, they're really scripted just so I can make a video out of them.
This one specifically is also really unstable (due to PS2 limits and me not being that good at scripting). This video is multiple takes combined into one due to crashes.

If you want to create custom missions like in this video, you'll have to learn Lua, as that's the language Bully uses.

Nope.
@@SimonBestia why not there's already the paddle mission even though for some reason it isn't publicly released yet bully mods have gotten a bit more advanced in the past year.

I've answered this question several times, already.
Long answer:
You're underestimating the amount of work that needs to be put into it.
You say The Paddle has been recreated, well, now what about all the other 70 missions?
Who's going to do it? And even if there are (there aren't) people willing to do it, a recreation of every mission is impossible due to lack of enough leftovers.
Not sure what you mean by "advanced", I don't recall anything big happening.
Remember that Rockstar Vancouver was made by several dozens of professional game devs who knew what they were doing.
To put that in perspective, I can't count more than 5 (myself included) people actively modding Bully today, and none of us are professional in any way, we just have fun doing some stuff every now and then.
Short answer:
It will never happen, or at least, not anytime soon.
@@SimonBestia man you need to be optimistic there's more unused content then you think unused lines that are fully voiced thats already more then enough heck the amount of unused lines in this game is staggering, plus with things like synth voice AI modding missions universally is only going to become easier whether rockstar ever supports modding like bethesda and valve or not, thats the inevitability of technology, besides If you have fun doing something like modding why not take up thr challenge Heck I might even do it myself, what coding language does bully even use?
