Dang Nick if I knew about this I would have mailed it to you but then we wouldn't have gotten subway so never mind Wanted to tell you that me and my brother still play car tag in split screen in driver San Fransisco to this day whenever hes in town and its still so fun to swap into a ramp truck right before he ramps it which obviously counts if anyone reads this you need to try the multiplayer in this game its some of the most fun I've ever had.

I work in a retro game store. We get asked about this game CONSTANTLY. I will never forget a guy a few weeks ago who was absolutely ecstatic we had it in stock.
I have a friend who used to collect subway giftcards and buy them a lot, telling his parents that he was paying for subway for lunch/dinner, when in reality, he was using them on League of Legends, which apparently accepted them. I still have no idea why League of Legends would accept subway giftcards.
@@AmericanJosh 100% can confirm, I got a lot of subway gift cards as gifts in college and would use them on league instead of sammiches. Now I've not played league in like 4-5 years, so seems like a bad investment in hindsight.
I've worked on this game. I had no idea it was delisted. I don't think I can overstate how much blood, sweat and tears the dev team shed to get this game out. Learning it was delisted hurts. If you were on the dev team you would have been aware of the basic fact you were making a game filled with other people’s licensed content (the cars) and so it would be based on a limited term contract the inevitable end of which is the game being delisted/not available for sale in it’s original form.

They don't have plan for this game. No expansion plan. It's better not to be in the market for Ubisoft. Otherwise the demand will rise for the game and sequel. Love for the game will increase. Then many people will not like, as much as they do, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs etc.

Let's keep it simple for now. 2 million will buy Assassin's Creed and 2 million will buy Prince of Persia. Cost of building those game 10 + 10 = 20 million. If we take $40 as an average price, they made $160 million in revenue and $140 million in profit. If they only made one game, people will buy 4 million copies. And they'll save $10 million dollars, time and the resources. This is from simple economics. I can make it more complex by adding more and more franchises from Ubisoft but this is the simples way to do it. Data+brand+feelings (if right) = profit. Don't distract your users with many different thing otherwise they won't care what you're currently doing.

The graphics still hold up pretty well for being over a decade old, especially with how well they did the tire smoke. It's backwards compatible on Xbox so you can buy a used 360 disc and still play it!

The Ubisoft page for D:SF links directly to an Amazon PC key, though Ubisoft asking $20 Standard/$25 Deluxe for an 8 year old game is a little Steep (pun intended). Driver san francisco isn't available anywhere but on marketplaces and prices keep increasing, currently the cheapest copy (according to dlcompare) is on G2A for 60 dollars

I must have spent almost 1000 hours in this game, maybe more, and I've never ever waited for something to happen so much, this masterpiece getting it's dues from fans. An absolute masterpiece, I think I can say I've used the shift mechanic in as many situations as humanly possible, and it works flawlessly everytime, the character work is on par with how much fun you can have with GTA.

Man this Video drove me down memory lane. I held the world record in the mission "dragon smoke" when the servers that held the record list were taken down. I still play this game to this day and I absolutely love it. Drifting felt never as good in any other racing game that I have ever played.

The fact that this game was so detailed for an open world racing game, 1st person cockpit view for every vehicle, with so many licensed cars, good handling model, pretty original story for a racing game, AND this game somehow managed to run 60 FPS on the 360 and PS3, it's a sin that this game didn't get more recognition.

@ricoimf777 it works on series x as backwards compatibility. When I downloaded it first time it said it wasn't available, but don't be quick to give up. A second later driver started to install. If you dont get that message, happy days but if you do, don't take out the disk

I loved the DRIVER games growing up, and I must say this game was extremely memorable. You did a great job. I wish I had the copy of this game, as I borrowed it from a cousin. I really wish I had the opportunity to finish it but it was awesome watching this video essay on it.
honestly sad that 8,000,000 people have watched this yet only 160,000 have signed the petition. The game had such an immersive gameplay and i consider myself lucky to have experienced such a game. This game definitely deserves to be relisted or a remake especially with the advancements in graphics that can be seen on modern ubisoft games and the like.
It's not like it's anything common to have more than 50% views be active. More than a quarter of all views are either acciental, or viewers that leave after a few minutes. Most are just passing viewers that only first discovered or only have viewed 2 or 3 videos of the channel. Honestly, an entire 2% of viewers going out of their way to do something you ask them to is uncommon.
I think, unlike most gift cards, you can get refunded for subway gift cards. Most places that do accept gift cards, spend the card money on their own Apps or products so that they can get paid that way. But unless subway is running G2P, I would have to believe that you can refund them. Or maybe they just really like subway. lol

This game really helped me through 2011-2013/14, my mom had passed in late 2010 and I had just gotten a xbox 360 from her for my birthday and I still treasure it with everything. And this exact game was there for me like a friend... I know it's weird but for a 9 year old weird kid in alaska there was not a lot to do and this game kept me busy during long cold winter days. Driver san Francisco will always have a special place in my heart

I have never played this game, never heard of this game, and i’m absolutely blown away by the innovation of this game. I wish I could have played this on release
The graphics still hold up pretty well for being over a decade old, especially with how well they did the tire smoke. It's backwards compatible on Xbox so you can buy a used 360 disc and still play it!
I remember it coming out and remember hearing the jumping thing but the reviewers never made it clear how innovative it was and how cool the idea works with the game.

As weird as it sounds, I know a shop in my country that sells 19 (were 20 but I got mine a couple months ago) sealed, brand new copies, for cheap. The DVD doesn't work perfectly on Windows 10, but the key works flawlessly in Uplay.

The Ubisoft page for D:SF links directly to an Amazon PC key, though Ubisoft asking $20 Standard/$25 Deluxe for an 8 year old game is a little Steep (pun intended). I must have spent almost 1000 hours in this game, maybe more, and I've never ever waited for something to happen so much, this masterpiece getting it's dues from fans. An absolute masterpiece, I think I can say I've used the shift mechanic in as many situations as humanly possible, and it works flawlessly everytime, the character work is on par with how much fun you can have with GTA.

Man this Video drove me down memory lane. I held the world record in the mission "dragon smoke" when the servers that held the record list were taken down. I still play this game to this day and I absolutely love it. Drifting felt never as good in any other racing game that I have ever played.

The fact that this game was so detailed for an open world racing game, 1st person cockpit view for every vehicle, with so many licensed cars, good handling model, pretty original story for a racing game, AND this game somehow managed to run 60 FPS on the 360 and PS3, it's a sin that this game didn't get more recognition.

@ricoimf777 it works on series x as backwards compatibility. When I downloaded it first time it said it wasn't available, but don't be quick to give up. A second later driver started to install. If you dont get that message, happy days but if you do, don't take out the disk

It's not like it's anything common to have more than 50% views be active. More than a quarter of all views are either acciental, or viewers that leave after a few minutes. I think, unlike most gift cards, you can get refunded for subway gift cards.
Most places that do accept gift cards, spend the card money on their own Apps or products so that they can get paid that way.
But unless subway is running G2P, I would have to believe that you can refund them.

This game really helped me through 2011-2013/14, my mom had passed in late 2010 and I had just gotten a xbox 360 from her for my birthday and I still treasure it with everything. And this exact game was there for me like a friend... I know it's weird but for a 9 year old weird kid in alaska there was not a lot to do and this game kept me busy during long cold winter days. Driver san Francisco will always have a special place in my heart
