We do need to get rid of the previous owners completely ASAP. I feel not doing so will hold us back . But so far, so good , let's be optimistic and back the team . Well done, England ( I even forgive ollie Watkins for playing for Witton town!! )
Thank you for your comment Paul. I'm sure Tom Wagner and Knighthead know exactly when full ownership will happen. When he took over he did say that the deal was complex. I have no doubt that Knighthead will have 100% ownership of the club in the not too distant future.

Thx for answering my question. Id love to see us keep hold of our youngsters. In my head, it would save money if they are good players, so it seems crazy to me we dont. Feels like we just want the quick sell and get some money in. Im sure our new owners will change this, and im pleaeed jj has not yet been sold.

I think the club will now try to develop and keep our young players. A key objective is to become a Category One Academy and that can only bode well for the future of our young players and the club itself. If we can develop more of our own players we provide a great supply line into the first team and at the same time save ourselves a fortune is transfer fees. KRO and kind regards (Gary)

Nearly 17k season tickets sold already. There's a real feel-good factor atm. I think that's down to, amongst other things, u and a few others talking sense and not being the default pessimist. I think this is really important for the fan base. Thank you for cultivating this within our fans.

I've done some research on this. Apparently, according to Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules, BHSL are not allowed to sell their remaining stake in blues until it reduces below a certain percentage of BHSL's overall business activities. They are currently building up their other activities to allow this to happen.
Thank you for this clarification Nigel which is really interesting. I guess that they are trying to build up their business outside of Birmingham City in order to maintain their listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
@nigelpallett2921 the sooner the better imo. Almajir is the lord for this kind of info. He was a light in very dark times over the past years.
Birmingham city would change from been the selling clubs to keeping quality player in two or three seasons from now.

Really enjoyed this - great work guys! I think over the next few years what we need to produce is a home grown player who makes it into the first team, becomes a regular and then stays with us for a long time. Of course we had to sell Jude, but it would be great for the academy players to see that they can become first team regulars and be treated equally to new signings coming in, which hasn't always been the case. The club have given professional contracts to a whole bunch of our young players which is another sign that they want to protect these players as assets to the club. KRO and kind regards (Gary)

I like this Q&A themed episode. I agree 100% with you both that Romelle and George will be very good young players for Blues this coming season and I reckon one or two other young âuns will be on the bench at times pushing for a chance to display their talent. Blues are no longer a âselling clubâ as we know it and I believe the future is bright.

@johnodonohoe7602 What a tournament we are having. It amazes me that for one of our best ever england managers, Southgate gets so much stick and abuse. He deserves so much more. There is only 1 winner in these tournaments, and we have done unbelievably well since under his stewardship.
I really hope he can bring it home for us as he deserves it.
Chris Davies in an interview has said he wants players with the right temperament as well as the right talent. I expect certain players have gone or will go for that reason. But, let's not forget, we don't know everything that went on behind the scenes last season.
I'm sure the owners wouldn't be making any plans for a club they don't have effective control over, let alone spend so much money. The deal in essence is complete.

I 100% agree that CD will review the players during this pre-season to test temperament, determination/fight, etc. Really important attributes for us to get back this season.
Yeah, the deal in essence is complete, but I think many fans would love to see that 100% go fully to Knighthead so BHSL (or the new name) are completely removed.
Apparently, it is all to do with the Hong Kong stock exchange and technicalities around their listing which I believe is in the process of being ironed out.

The KROKiwi here - nice work guys; thought provoking stuff. I think we'll go OK, assuming we keep them all Peacock-Farrell, Bielek, James, Paik and Miyoshi are all full internationals. That's half the team; how many other sides in Div 3 will be able to field that kind of quality? Need a centreback though I don't go too much on Sanderson. PS should I buy Blues TV? I want to see the games but when I had a few years ago the commentator drive me bonkers and made me want to throw things. Have the changed him? Keep up the good work really enjoying your stuff

I definitely think we will buy another centre back, possibly two if Dion is sold. Both myself and Matt are big fans of Beilek at centre back to we need a tall strong partner alongside him. It will be interesting to see if Dion stays.
As you live in New Zealand I think Blues TV would give you access to live Blues games and therefore might well be worth the purchase. I know what you mean about annoying commentators though, however I'm not certain if they have changed the commentator recently. KRO and kind regards (Gary)

From what I've seen of Emil Hansson, he looks every bit as good as Bacuna, but with better vision and more consistency.
Admittedly I've only seen his highlights and not the low lights, so I hope I'm not wrong.

I'm sure the club have the ownership issue buttoned down. They are very astute and even though it might not be in the public domain, I'm sure they will be working to a deadline to take full ownership. There is no way that they would have spend what they have already if they weren't certain of full ownership.

Thank you for your comment. We must remember that this is a pre-season friendly and Blues played a different 11 in each half and both halves were peppered with youngsters in the team.
This friendly was our first and all about getting game time into the players legs. We will be a completely different team in terms of starting line up when we kick off the season and Iâm sure we will also have some further reinforcements. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Last season we had no physical strength no ball winners we didnât score of set peaceâs we are still signing players thatâs under 6ft this is a massive concern still especially in this physical league KRO

Still stuns me that ownership of any club is allowed on an overseas sharemarket and not made to be a uk based holding.

We would love to see Jay Stansfield back at the Blues but there are quite a few factors in play in relation to complying with financial regulations, what his parents club position is and whether he would want to come to League One, as I'm sure he will get offers from clubs in higher leagues. Pay top wages any player will come to league 1...I'm getting worried about this season fans thinking we just going to walk league 1..but the players were bringing in are unknown like new manager Davis only ever bin number2 and look how that worked out with Mark venus

I really hope that we see do see Stansfield donning the Royal Blue shirt and in the not too distant future. If only we'd stayed up!!! That being said, there's no guarantees that we would've become a Blues player permanently or even again on loan had we not got relegated but sadly we will never know. He is the perfect blueprint for any player that goes out on loan. You can just tell that he loves football and that he loves The Blues.
Personally, I hope for him he that he gets his opportunity at Fulham to show what we can do in the Premier League or he gets another crack out on loan in the championship again. Obviously, if he does well at Fulham then we won't see him in a Blues shirt anytime soon so I just hope that we will see him back at Blues when the time is right for him and the Blues. Obviously the time is right for Blues now from the romantic perspective ðĪĢðĪĢ but as much as he loves the club and everyone connected to the club loves him, now isn't the right time for Stansfield and his continued development and progress in his career.
Although we could throw silly money at him ðĪĢðĪĢðĪĢðĪĢ silly money that would be worth every single penny and helps to take us to the promise land ð
In short. It's written in the future that Stansfield will be a Blues player again and I agree with you Gary that he will be a permanent signing. Just no idea when!

I think Jay was the one shining light from last season and all Blues fans would love to see him back at the Blues. As you point out however, with relegation last season the timing is just not right and it is highly unlikely we will see him back in royal blue for a few seasons.
I also think Fulham should try him in the premier league however if he does we, his stock will continue to rise and if we do want to buy him in the future then his value could significantly increase. Whatever happens Iâm sure all Blues fans will want to see him do well and will welcome him back in the future. KRO and kind regards (Gary)

Yeah this is a really valid point and idea. It's really hard to see the plan for a finalised date on any documents or research done online but that could be what Knighthead have in mind.
My only concern would be after the relegation I think the stadium is now lower down on the owners list of priorities so this could be longer than first anticipated. I personally would like to see full ownership as soon as possible so lets see what happens moving forward.

We are a selling club. All clubs outside of Madrid and Man City are selling clubs. Everyone has a price. All we can do is make sure we get a good fee for our younger players that allows us to improve as a team. No young player should be denied a big move and if someone wants to give us 15-20 mil for any of our players we would be stupid to turn it down
Thank you for your comment Ricky. I agree that every player has a price however if we could develop our young players, give them first team competitive football and keep them longer we will add millions onto their values and that can only be good for the club.

I was listening to the video picking the kids up from school and then I heard my name!! Very weird but my kids now think Iâm famous because Iâm on TH-cam! Ha ha. I think despite Baccas numbers he may not fit into what Davies wants. One thing Bacca did do, often because he was so used to being the creator, was heâd slow a move down, particularly when we played possession based. Iâm very sad to see him go but ultimately I need to grow up and stop having favourite players at 41 years of age!! We move on. If we sign Bosun Lawal Iâll prob move onto him!! Ha ha.

Yeah, I think although Bacuna did frustrate a lot of fans he was also extremely popular and people really enjoyed the creative side of his game and absolutely no doubt on his day he was fantastic. Dad and I just used to get frustrated with the inconsistency. No doubt a talented footballer. I do wish him all the best in his career no hard feelings with Bacca :)
