That lady running up with the phone had no business being that scary. Tyler did a great job encapsulating all the emotions fans can evoke running up like that!
That’s the point, of the paranoia super fans that just want a picture could be the same one that pull a gun out and shoot you when you’re famous as Tyler and other artists
I like how he really dips his feet into a little of each genre, it really keeps him music fresh and exciting! Edit: guys I know some of you think it’s mid that’s ok I agree with you somewhat but you have to consider the other aspects of it, he’s a really good artist because he’s so fluent and able to maneuver his lyrics and beat to match the genre of music and I think thats really cool about him, that he’s not just another generic rapper or even artist in general, like how many other artists do you know that have had such a unique catalogue with such amazing storytelling, I mean, just look at Igor! It’s about him liking someone then asking them, being friend zoned, then liking them again like one big cycle! That’s what I think sets him apart from other artists.
@@phatso11 there’s a point there, too. Though I certainly like when he does all sorts of genres of music, I usually rate his albums that are more of one genre of music, like Igor, over other albums of his that are more of a mix of them.

This style of music truly encompasses the type of creator Tyler truly is. The uneven rhythm and the sample of the African vocals, the distorted guitar and the classic Tyler synth - perfect mix. Chromakopia is going to be album of the year, I feel it.
I love his homage to the Amasunzu hairstyles of the men of Rwanda, along with some of the vocals in this song and the art mirroring African politicians and leaders of the last century, I can tell this album is going to have some strong connection to the African continent and maybe Tyler's African roots.
Dude! I’m glad someone else brought up the hair, As soon as the first snippet for St. Chroma was posted, I immediately thought of a photo I saw of a man with a similar hair style, Two wing-like shapes on the side and a fin-like shape on the top of his head. Very fire!
My view about the shadow scene is that the shadow is him publicly, he’s waving at his fans and greeting them, but his real self is yelling and suffering inside
Was also thinking it felt like Peter Pan wrestling with his shadow, trying to retain youth and innocence and not fall into nihilism and become irreparably jaded
the shadow is striking and stabbing him I'm fairly certain. When Tyler/Chroma falls to his knees the shadow is shooting a finger gun or something of the sort. You can see the thumb press down and then the recoil. One of the shadow's motions actually seems to be from a part earlier in the shot where Tyler swings at the air. Overall the shadow stuff seems to represent paranoia ("someone's keeping watch // I feel them in my shadow") mostly due to fame, but maybe also due to some other theme that's in the song/album?
The name of the sample used in this song is called "nizakupanga ngozi" by the ngozi family... The song is from an era of zamrock that happened way back in the 80s or something. The shadow seems to be representative of the display he needs to put on in public as a celebrity. A lot of the shadow’s motions seem triumphant or seem to be addressing a crowd (the waving) so it seems to represent his performances literally and figuratively. Literally the motions he might make at a show, but figuratively that it’s a performance he needs to exude and not how he’s actually feeling. That’s my thoughts on it anyway just after a first waych

Tyler is such a talented artist and we're truly blessed to be able to experience his art in his time. I think back to when he used to vlog with his old rap collective and thought it was so awesome to be able to see more of the life around one of my favorite rappers however it must become a double edged sword at some point letting so many people know anything about your day to day. I hope one day Tyler along with everybody can live their life with no fear, paranoia, or anxiety.
In my two decades on this rock i NEVER thought I'd hear my native language being used in a mainstream artist's song. This new era will be crazy and I'm so here for it!

The legend lives on...
RIP Paul Ngozi 🔥✊🏿🔥

This album is great
“Creator The Tyler”
He is one of the fastest growing artists right now in the music industry. Im really loving with how he expresses everything, like no holding back
He’s not making an album. He’s making a possible cinematic masterpiece. And I’m here for it.
That’s fair
cinematic??
Well then
Hes making an album tho
Lollol the level of cringe in this comment section is why I even clicked on it. Thanks for all of it guys

Before this dropped, I was depressed, had no job, no gf, no will to live, but at last my glorious beautiful king Tyler dropped, thank you Tyler My wife of 43 years passed away back in 1972 and this was by far her favourite song. It still brings me to tears hearing it today.

All zambian, let's all say ""ZAMBIA KU CHALO 🇿🇲
Tyler, for you to sample a Zambian song is a great step for our music industry. It means our masterpieces are reaching a wider audience, and people from different corners of the world are getting to hear the talent we have here in Zambia. Thank you, Tyler!

I love the rock vibes. The genre we needed him to explore.
Have you not listened to cherry bomb?!?!
he kinda did on cherry bomb
Cherry bomb?
i disagree, i think he should approach this album with a more pop hip hop feel
Everything, the genre fusion, the grainy black and white look, the surreal imagery, god he's about to do it again
Tyler consistently portrays so much emotion and feeling through his music even just through his instrumentals it’s insane.
That’s so right
You are looking way too deep into this, this guy doesn't spend 5 minutes thinking about the junk he produces, none of it sounds good none of it has a message, crazy you think it does. 1:05 sounds like absolute shit and listen to what he's saying..... real role model right here... let me fart on a track and diss dj Khaled I might get gifted a career lmfao

It's scary how good Tyler is. He takes perception just bends and twists it like plasticine
the cinematography... the song.. the ayo edebiri cameo. another hit on our hands
