To me meaning of Chromacopia is way more straight forward, it's a play on the word Cornucopia. In classical antiquity, this was a symbol to represent abundance, often depicted as a horn filled with many varieties of food. A chromacopia would be an abundance of color.
The first thing I thought of after st. Chroma is that the vibe of this upcoming album reminds me of parts in igor where he was more aggressive and started to despise his lover, I feel like this new album is like if he kept going down that path rather than spinning back around to falling in love. This is gonna be the evil side of igor
Bro the fact that it’s TYLER’s album is insane (only a few will get what I’m trying to say) like there’s very few artist now a days that have ANY work under their name or being, when you listen to Tyler’s music/albums you’re listening to TYLER
@@johnbartz1907 Not on Ye's level yet but he's getting close. Kanye had a stretch from 2004-2018 proving he was the best producer in rap. Two more albums and that conversation will hold more weight
@@johnbartz1907 yes I’ve been a fan since the OF days but I was more of a casual Tyler listener even then, as the years progress he’s just proven himself to be more Han just a “rapper” or hip hop artist. He’s a true to art form, amazing artist.
@@johnbartz1907 If we're going off of production JPEG Mafia is closer to Kanye stylistically in that aspect while both him and Tyler draw influence from him. Tyler's production style while great has a clear formula of Kanye-esque sample chops, while his synths combine Kanye and Pharrell's sound that was well established while he was growing up in the 2000s. I think we're obviously going to hear something different on Chromakopia but what makes Kanye's discography so insane is that he's had definitive albums across 2 decades spanning at least 15 years starting in 2004 (didn't include Donda because I thought it was bloated and not his best work). While Tyler had great production in his earlier work he didn't start honing in on what he could really do until Cherry Bomb/Flower boy meaning he's on a 7-9 year stretch of excellence. Hence why I believe it will still take a few more projects for Tyler to truly reach Kanye level.
I thought of something interesting yesterday. Throughout Igor, a repeated phrase is “I see the light” and in st chroma we hear “can you feel the light” those 2 things together feel like a connected story line. Almost like saying “I see the light.” “Yes, but can you feel the light?”
I don't thinks there was a reason for why he dropped it on a Tuesday given the context as it was a disstrack . I think the reason Tyler dropping an album on a Monday was previously mentioned in an interview where he actively doesn't like dropping on Fridays as he js wanna drop on random days in the week as that's when he thinks most people will actively listen to this songs deeply when commuting to work/school etc. Could be the same for Kendrick but most artists do drop on Fridays to maximize album/songs sales for the whole week as stats are first monitored that day.
I just want to take a second to thank Tyler for a quick and simple rollout. I’m so tired of these artists teasing for months, even years in some cases, and never having a clear roadmap. It’s so frustrating.
In one of Tyler's Stories last year, he asked if anyone had Janet Jackson's phone number, saying she would kill it on a track he was working on. I already sensed he was going in a Rhythm Nation direction having read that. On the album she wanted to, "Rid the world of color lines." Coincidence? I HIGHLY doubt it. I'm praying because RN1814 is my favorite album of all time.
@@THE_IMMORTAL_OBLIVION No, not really. It's primarily Tron Cat on Goblin, Ace on Bastard, but he was technically everybody pre- Cherry Bomb except Samuel on there

I am really surprised that no one is talking about the art direction and the look harkening back to the 1927 film Metropolis and the look of the images.
