    Love this video, very helpful. I've watched it a dozen times to use an adjustment layer to do split screen, but one problem keeps occurring...the adj. layer (mountain scene in this case) on the TOP video remains on one half, covering the LOWER video clip. I've tried everything to fix it. Any suggestions...??

    Great! But the split screen in your INTRO looks much better than the final result of the tutorial)) What about a tutorial how to make the animated split screen and also with black borders?

    • @Serge1913
      @Serge1913  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The black borders can be achieved by just trimming an extra few pixels off the clip. So, for a split down the middle with a black border, instead of trimming 960 pixels, just trim off 970 or more. Depending on how thick you want the border to be. Hope this helps!

    Another great video Serge! Thank you for posting. Please can you recommend a Final Cut Pro Plugin that would be best to have the screen split in two halves (side by side) where one side has the talking head and the other has animated text? I am trying to make a teaching video with my talking head on one half and my corresponding topic notes being animated on the other half.

    • @Serge1913
      @Serge1913  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For sure. When you trim the adjustment layer, instead of going exactly half of the frame size (ie - 960 pixels), trim off a little bit more, about 970 pixels. Do the same to the other side, and you have a black divider between frames. If you want a color different than black, add a solid generator to the bottom of your timeline and pick whatever color you want. Hope this helps
