Agreed ppl gotta realize that you gotta speak up if you want change instead we got our own community clowning on each other cus oH tHaT wIlL nEvEr HaPpEn especially felt when the larger yt channels who have worked with bushi choose to stay silent on the issue
My personal thing I wanna see is a structure change and not even a gameplay change. But the fu****n cards in stores stop locking your cards into card shops. No other company tries this. Vanguard is amazing but until you can walk into Walmart/target and buy product it will forever be a shell of what it can be. No one sees your product in a comic shop or game store except a certain audience so parents wanting to give there kids something to do. Like mine did When I was 11 in 02’. They brought me home a yugi and kaiba starter deck and played yugioh ever since. Vanguard needs publicity
The main issue with the promo system is that it only works in Japan. It's not something that works in the west. Or at the very least put them in a set later. (Not like the Festival Boosters which always get short printed) As for OT. Personally I'd like for something more like +20k and some effect Still completely guardable and not a stupid amount of power like 100,000,000
I play in JP format so my opinions on promo will differ. I personally enjoy promos as it rewards me for going to weekly tournaments here and distribution here is smootg amongst the local shops. Personally think if the en side has better promo distribution yall wouldnt fault the promos when it is clearly is vendor issue . The promos here help shops host better tournaments with appealing prizes that help more people attend and support the shop.
Shop tournament promo was never the bigger problem MAGAZINE AND MANGA PROMOS ARE We, people outside of the holy country of Japan, have shortage of those kind of cards.
The promo thing is so stupid. I have so many locals near me and bushi always messes up sending the promo packs. I'm just praying we don't get strides for every nation even though I feel its coming
Agreed with everything completely, especially the Lyrical point (Extremely annoying and non Lyrical players hate the whole season too), but one little aspect I want to add is the card design. While not instantly having the correct build is nice, I don't personally mind cookie cutter builds so long as that build has depth and nuance too it. Kinda like some G decks.
They don’t even need to make an online sim. They just need to print enough product so it isn’t sold out everywhere on release and then never restocked. That’s why people ask for a sim, because the low amount of product makes it too expensive to play irl. An online sim is not a fix to that. It just shines a spotlight on the problem.
While I agree that OT a lot of times screw up a otherwise perfect game, and should really be banned for competitive plays, but I doubt that banning it is a move that the officials would make. Huge change like these should be announced months in advance instead of just a month in this case ( the announcement in December and DivineZ starting in Jan ).The biggest elephants in the room are the shop owners, who stocked up OTs just to resell to players, it'll be really impactful if all of the OTs suddenly become useless pieces of shiny cardboards ( similar to V Luard Nemain Restriction, and that was the final straw for a lot of shops back then ) . Also there's the fact that the upcoming two stride decksets would contain OTs, banning a card just upon a month of release ( yes, they are reprints but still ), would be a really bad PR move, that the officials are okay with banning cards ( basically making a card unable to be played ) less than 3 months upon release. Looking at past records, which they learned their lesson regarding ( They let their problem child ran for at least 2 seasons [while most of us hoped for just 1] before any hits , Ghandeva and Willista for example ) One idea that not much people in the community are talking about is, instead of banning OTs, just remove the main problem of the OT, which to me is the Million. Checked offensively it's PG or take, checked defensively it's one free turn for you, both scenario sucks as the one receiving the OT, and as the one checking it. Just errata the Million into 10k like any triggers, keep the effect and the ruling of the OT, because honestly, I really like the concept of the OT, just not the Million that came with it. As a result, the players are happy, the shop owners are happy, the officials are happy. ( FYI, there would be a reason to play the generic OT that gives Mill, as the errata would make it the only OT in the game that would give a Mill )
What’s the point of OTs having 10k power. That means they do nothing defensively that a normal trigger doesn’t. And essentially become another Crit. The entire point of the OT is is flips the game over if checked offence or defense. If you get rid of that you might as well get rid of the OT.
That's the point isn't it? Getting the million is the unfair part of the OT, not so much the addictional effect. Getting a defensive OT is basically telling your opponent, oh I'm sorry, I'm not gonna waste resources to guard this turn anymore, in which world is this fair ? Especially when your opponent has spent all of his resources gambling to finish the game, one lucky OT is all it takes shuts down a game outcome that was otherwise already decided. I lost count on how many matches where I have a really healthy hand size ( just no PG ), my opponent is at the brink of losing, all it takes is for him to check an OT, make an attack PG or take. Yes, you're not wrong when you say it's just a 9th crit in the deck ( most of the OTs, but not all ) , but would you rather to have a 9th crit that is PG or take, or a 9th crit that you could play around? Same thing with offensive OT, you might have 20 cards hand ( which could DEFINITELY guard agaisnt all ) , but no PG, but you still have to take that swing with the mill I believe this is the best errata that would keep everyone happy, players, officials and shop owners.
I would say at least make the ot give 50k so the powers matches its guarding capability. It's not 1 mil, but still makes it special without reducing it to just a better effect critical
I would side with keeping the OT the exact same as it is, otherwise the meta is simple to solve with little to no variation. The RNG aspect of the game is honestly the best part of this game. It's pretty exciting to bank on a trigger on what would be a hopeless game otherwise. Scooping for efficiency is the opposite of fun in my opinion, and it almost always leaves an option to hope for. But I'm part of the extreme minority who actually likes OTs.
@@darryng8606I mean counter point, most decks rely on very specific rear guards to their major plays. By getting OT you are safe damage wise, but what is stopping your opponent from going after rear guards. Not to mention since you vanguard is untouchable this turn, players may liberally use their guards to protect a rear guard. Which may screw them over if they don’t kill their next turn. Also am I one of the few people who don’t mind OT’s. I think it is a fun gimmick. Not to mention since both decks have it, it is on a equal playing field. Unlike with V where different clans had different markers (originally) for a sort of rock paper scissors.
IMO Promos can keep happening, they just HAVE to be boxtoppers the way they are starting to become now because it is way cheaper and more accessible to players without huge locals. The boxtoppers in Set 13 for example are perfect. This would also encourage more box sales. I can't see them banning overtriggers as much as everyone wants, it would be admitting to a huge mistake and Bushi doesn't do that. Hopefully they just add some sort of universal hard counter to them or something that makes them less playable.
I am playing standard and JP only, so I am only going to comment on this based on this promo issue: BTW, I am from Malaysia, so I don't have the pain of other countries where there are either no PRs or scam local shops selling PR on their own, at least not in my experience. Shop Tournament PR is fine as it brings players to local tournaments to keep the VG scene fresh, but Magazine/Manga PR is way over the greed point. No matter the price or the supply, it is always the worst, and they are focusing their efforts on designing good cards for these two distribution platforms. Better than hoping someone lives in Japan with a great heart to help everyone to PO the magazine or manga for us without charging over the roof. OT: OT should not be a ban but should be addressed as an issue. Banning is not a solution for an important card that has been heavily shaped in VG now. Bushi could create a new super game-changing gimmick that chooses restrict with OT. Like allowing a super PG that CB to protect the whole field, maybe a 20k triggers that we had in V or even allowing D version of heal guardian (R pls, no RRR pls if this is happening now) . Therefore, this will open up tons of deck building and styles of playing. Do you like OT? then you don't have this; you want this, and you can't put it in OT. Maybe this is going to complicate the D format, but I feel this is the more linear and suitable approach for addressing OT collabs: Standalone collabs set is okay, and IF the player doesn't care, that is just the PR issue of Bushi. Even though I don't care about Touken Ranbu, I'm still not going to judge it, as it might be someone's flavor IP. Card design: Bushi sucks at competitive planning and card balancing. So they should hire a super heavy P&C signer who is a legit VG player to design and playtest the card. And I agreed that Generic need be more , and reducing the filler cards and direct support that keep polluting the card slot.
There's just so many easy fixes to make the game more fun and idk why bushi won't implement them. Vanguard is a Japanese exclusive game to bgin with. They just make a HUUUUGE FAVOR for the rest of the world to print them. And if you think the quality is awful and supplies are bad, just remember: This is Bushiroad making their maximum effort.
With the over reliance of multi attack decks. Are you sure you still wants to delete OT? OT is like the only thing that can save you from being beaten to death. Its also in line with the ethos of VG, that you can flip the script and has a fighting chance
Better shield values fixes this problem far more elegantly then a you lose cause the deck said so mechanic. Card power values have gotten so high with Dragjewled and Lianorn that we need whatever the new mechanic in DivineZ to be defensive. If they get any higher player 2 realistically won't have a chance to win. G had this same issue but they fixed it with G guards.
Need more defensive stuffs. Front and draw +extra 5k worked back then but nowdays not enough anymore. Blitz order more than once per turn but not same name (so you can use G3 green barrier+elementary same turn). G guard for stride decks cuz there power spike is too late now. Bring back G3 heal that save you from getting stomped going 2nd and draw PG for more deck space.
I agree with the promo side of things clearly these should just have been in the packs to begin with, I will say I understand where people are coming from about overtriggers but I still think at the end of the day it's down to chance if you drive check or damage check it might be overpowered but again its all down to chance
Easy, ban every rideline from being able to use them EXCEPT Griphogila Edit: Reason being because the main point of Griphogila is using the OT, and unlike most decks you know/can-infer when the OT is coming, so you can prepare for it. But with other decks that aren’t griphogila it’s very much difficult determining when the OT is coming.
I don't really mind the OTs. Sure it can screw up someone's gameplay when it's drawn during drive/damage check and it is annoying in my opinion but not to the point that I would want it to be banned. Most of the time, it's not really played a lot since it is most likely drawn or soul charged based from what I've experienced and seen.
The online game was an issue from conception. They delete the free version of vanguard, for a fully paid version that everyone could have enjoyed and made it a gacha which makes more money. Honestly, dear days being paid is a sure fire wayt o kill the game. I know so many people who wanted to play but wanted to start in an online simulation like other tcgs but didn't wanna fork out fucking 75 bucks for a BASE game with no access to other cards
Curious, why is that? At my locals we use to play with OT’s, but a couple of people would get mad/frustrated that they lost due to getting OT’d. We banned them in the end and as a result playing Standard with no OT’s is like so much better and more “skillful”.
@@androidmacdelta4008 I like OT, being able to turn a loss no matter how bad you're losing is pretty awesome. Maybe not so skillful since all you need to do is check it. OT is necessary to make the competitive scene viable for somewhat of casual player who want to participate but don't have the time to learn the matchup, because of the implementation of diversity cut, learning matchup is harder than ever. You would need time and for casuals, you can't simply put that much time into Vanguard. Maybe you can win if you check OT once or twice, but it will still in the end show your lack of skills and decision making when you don't check it.
@@arthurex2233if you're a strictly casual player, you shouldn't be competing in tournaments, and if you are, the expectation should be getting stomped by better players. The overtrigger might be fun for a new player, but the more time and effort you put into the game, the worse it feels to have a skillful win stolen for no reason.
@@handlesarestupid154 I understand what it means to lose to overtrigger after you invested your time and effort into the game. Since I can say that I am somewhat of a competitive player instead of casual. But it's not fun for casual to not be able to participate in the big event no or if you always getting stomped just because your friend is better than you? Nobody likes playing a game that they have no way of winning imo. It's not like OT can carry all 5+ games you will play (if that happen sure I'll also want to ban OT). But catering to casual player is also important, especially if you want money as a company. Since that's the majority of the player base whether you like it or not. I think this phrase has already been said before by another youtuber for why casual player is as important as the competitive player and why competitive player starting to migrate to V instead. Again, I won't deny that OT denying/handing a win does suck, no argument can be made against that. But it needs to be noted that everything that happen in the card game itself is a result of all of the actions happened in the past. The shuffle, cut, draw, deck filter, ect. all allows the OT to be on top of the deck at the right time when you need it the most. It may not feel good winning with OT or losing to it.
@@arthurex2233Normal Triggers are already more than enough of a means for casual players, or for those Piloting lower tier decks, to make up for their shortcomings. The game has enough variance as it is that even less skilled players can have a shot at winning so long as they get lucky at the right time. However, the small tempo swings from normal triggers don't invalidate a whole game or turn the same way an OT does. Besides, put yourself in the shoes of someone more casual. We're trying to play the game, and part of playing the game is learning the matchups, or in simpler terms, coming up with a gameplan, trying it out, make adjustments, and try again. By doing this, and being a little lucky, even casual players with mid tier decks can sometimes edge out wins... Now, it is specially frustrating to me as someone who pilots mid tier decks to see something as swingy as an OT come out, because most casual decks just can't come back from that even if they had a fair shot at winning at first. Also, people who rely on flipping the OT to win, even as "casual" players, arent really playing the game. Vanguard is a strategy game, you are of course expected to play strategically, not rely merely on dumb luck to win. Vanguard's triggers do give all players a chance to turn the game around, but they are also a calculated luck factor to consider. If people don't want to think about all that, then perhaps card games just arent for them. Sorry for the long rant.
I think me as player bushiroad must limit the anime collab cards cuz the cards are not even in lore of the game also please increase some overtrigger option cuz some series of cards in old and new version can benefit. Also overtrigger are a big help especially when bushiroad added a stride decks so i think overtrigger should stay at it is also please give supports to some less use series or buff so series. Because it is worth collecting. Also every nation must be on every booster cuz is really irrelavant to seperate lyrical cuz it delays deck building. I think thats all i can say and also if you gonna add stride decks plz restrict it from.using energy generator cuz non stride decks are less used that way. All i want is that energy generator can only be allowed to be used on non stride deck so that non stride deck can equal stride deck cuz their crest as way to op enough also let stride deck consider their crest as energy generator cuz its too confusing to me really.
Only thing I really care about is promos that make x decks work or even become better like eva promo not just stuck as promo. Imo it makes decks that rely on said promos so much harder and more expensive for no real reason cuz its supply tends to me majorly limited. OT is honestly watever. Living through a Vanguard time of being unable to not play the game cuz x decks said lmao nice try (Luard and to a lesser extent Nouvelle), losing to a single trigger thats literally designed to kill is a skill issue. If its there in the game then get used to it.

as much as i hate to say it i really doubt they're gunna take over triggers away. i really hope they do because the over trigger is a stupid mechanic that makes decks a minimum of 20 bucks more to a max of like 40. but i really doubt they will despite the fact it's just better for game health As for the youthburk product i'd love a video on why that's a bad product cause i don't think ive ever heard anything bad about those trial decks.] and fianlly YES I am always going to be complaining about how bushiroad has fucked up online experiences. the fact that i can't introduce new friends into the game because the barrier for entry is either a finiky as fuck setup through discord along with a minor money investment or SEVETY FUCKING DOLLARS MINIMUM is fucking outregious. it's gotten to the point where i tell people "i love this game. i would love having more people to play with. do NOT play this game"
I would say dear days is good enough, just the fact that I hate how it and it’s dlc never go on sale on the eshop. Dear days is what brought me back into vanguard because so of my friends told me about it and we play it weekly. Also I would rather have something like dear days where I pay a one time fee where I can infinitely farm the points needed to farm, then do what master duel days where it is free but the income of points is slow. In my opinion the only way dear would be better then it is, is A. Make the game go on sale often, and B. Update the card pool with the dlc more often, not just once every 2/3months
Who gave you permission to speak for everyone?. Frankly speaking risky has not given her permission 😈 no real issues with the over triggers as I kinda liked the mechanics however if they do away with over triggers that’s fine as well. Honestly I’d liked to be Abel to play more cries in my deck. They should have moved lyrical to the main set a long time ago honestly….. As for the collaboration sets …. I really liked some of them and was disappointed to not see them in the English game, however I still like the idea even if collaboration sets are just RE skins of older cards

If you ban over tiggers how do you make gripo dragon tree work?
Easy, ban every rideline from being able to use them EXCEPT Griphogila
Edit: Reason being because the main point of Griphogila is using the OT, and unlike most decks you know/can-infer when the OT is coming, so you can prepare for it. But with other decks that aren’t griphogila it’s very much difficult determining when the OT is coming.
@@androidmacdelta4008True.
Imagine if they added a new trigger called the divine trigger and it gets 200 million instead of 100 mil
This is a great opportunity for bushiroad to get their act together (but im 100% sure they wont)
I love OT...just make the game spicier..... because i love to fight a turntable game and still ended up win
yeah dd needs to be fully overhailed and just turn it into master duel sim
I agree with most of the thing, but I strongly disagree banning OT.
:v im still have fun with ot and actually kinda ok with it so is fine
You hit the mail on the head
Only thing I really care about is promos that make x decks work or even become better like eva promo not just stuck as promo. Imo it makes decks that rely on said promos so much harder and more expensive for no real reason cuz its supply tends to me majorly limited. OT is honestly watever. Living through a Vanguard time of being unable to not play the game cuz x decks said lmao nice try (Luard and to a lesser extent Nouvelle), losing to a single trigger thats literally designed to kill is a skill issue. If its there in the game then get used to it.
I agree with everything yet again. SnownaVG just a genius.
hi from the future and they solved NOTHING, in fact made it worse.
I disagree with banning OT. BUT banning it in premium would be a better option.
Probably choice restrict
@@someguywithabirdface2583Nah just straight out get rid of it. What should they choice restrict it with? Aside from Ultima since they already restricted US decks from using both cards.
dude leave the overtriggers alone its a one of in the deck half the time me and my oponent draw or soul charge our over triggers anyway or at worse it just stops damage for one turn if you got it defensivly it aint that big of a deal
as much as i hate to say it i really doubt they're gunna take over triggers away. i really hope they do because the over trigger is a stupid mechanic that makes decks a minimum of 20 bucks more to a max of like 40. but i really doubt they will despite the fact it's just better for game health
As for the youthburk product i'd love a video on why that's a bad product cause i don't think ive ever heard anything bad about those trial decks.]
and fianlly YES I am always going to be complaining about how bushiroad has fucked up online experiences. the fact that i can't introduce new friends into the game because the barrier for entry is either a finiky as fuck setup through discord along with a minor money investment or SEVETY FUCKING DOLLARS MINIMUM is fucking outregious. it's gotten to the point where i tell people "i love this game. i would love having more people to play with. do NOT play this game"
When play and not believe in deck
I come from the future: and they didnt fix any of these issues lol
I just wish grade 4s would go to the ride deck 👎🏽
Blitz orders cannot be more than once becuse decks like lutecia become broke
I really liked some of them and was disappointed to not see them in the English game, however I still like the idea even if collaboration sets are just RE skins of older cards
i wanna see what he gonna say and then ban overtriggers, oki time to left
4:03 three time
Damn,people still cry about OT??
Unfortunately
please just make blitz not once for turn, my dragontree needs freedom from that bs
