I expected the industry to design something "really fast" - so that you may need no precision instruments. Like you strip the plastic from fiber (or better even without this step), insert it into the connector, press something on it that cuts out a bit of fiber straight as you do it with a cleaver, and get a working connection. Don't see it happening :\
