I work with one of the biggest telco in philippines, back then we used this type of SC connector, i can say that its really fast when it comes to splicing, but not that durable, after couple of months you need to resplice it again. Thats why we switch to Fujikura

they are just other fiber, some cables come bundled with more than 1 fiber line.

I hope someone answer this, so u don't need that green plastic cap right to connect it to the cable in the wall? Cause we had to get a technician, and I think they replaced wire. I had to unplug it cause someone is painting the walls. After unplugging it, I notice a clear plastic cap on the floor similar to the green one on here
The green cap is used to protect the connector when it's not plugged in to the socket.

How to remove the green cover

i accidentally got the fiber stuck/broken inside the transmitter how do it get it out
Remove the plug, cut the fiber and splice a new connector. If You do not have necessary equipment You need to contact a proffesional.

why did you cut other wires?
They were not needed in that case. We've only cut a small fragment of them so they would not interfere. If one needed to add more fibers, the could strip the cable and access the remaining fibers. In fiber optic installations it is crucial to have a lot of spare cable in termination boxes.

Use gloves for sharps, pushing and bending fibre in quick fit connector will send light off at an angle and not straight.

Hmm. If it's that simple, why weld the cable to another with a jack? Isn't this method cheaper and there is no need for expensive equipment to run on electricity?
there is some signal loss when using connectors like this
using a fiber fuser gives less signal loss, so you can get more distance out of the same hardware

This is how the signal arrives in the media converter, which converts it from an optical signal to an electronic signal, for example the router at my place. If it is spliced from one optical fiber to another it makes sense, but otherwise it doesn't sound logical, but that's what ISPs do here.
