✈ A flight with the Dreamliner from the European city of Frankfurt (FRA/EDDF) to Delhi or New Delhi (DEL/VIDP). This is a longer than usual flight trip report, as I am trying to describe all the experience as a passenger. Begging with Frankfurt airport, some highlights and an incredible shot before the entrance. Continuing with the Boeing 788 interior and the facilities provided to the passengers. I have to tell that AI didn't have amenity KIT. Finally the great Delhi International Airport that had 50 million passengers in 2015... Watch it and let me know if you have questions or comments. delhi airport, near the immigration area, the last time i had been there it will full to maxx, like no space to stand you are lucky to have it all empty..

I have been flying Air India since 2002. I have never had any issue. Many of my European friends also told me about their pleasant experience with AI. However most Indians are unnecessarily critical of AI. Is it because it is a state owned carrier?

Nice video. Air India's Dreamliner service is the best. Given my experience of travel on LHR-BOM flight, I would rate it 9/10, due to the flight delay. It is a million times better than American Airlines....

Outstanding trip report. The Dreamliner is a great aircraft. IFE on this plane was a bit dated compare to other Dreamliner. The headphones are very high quality

Yes. I traveled once in the old Mumbai airport that was terrible, now in the new one, I was amazed!
A good thing the windows had condensation. The higher level of humidity and the lower cabin altitude of the B787 make for more refreshing ride

Sure I would love to do it again! India is a beloved destination and I was satisfied with Air India.
The cabin lights aren't off for takeoff. It is so that just in case there is a crash (which is more likely to happen in the first 3 mins or last 8 mins of the flight), your eyes will be able to easily adjust to the darkness when escaping. Great video thought :) 👌👍

Air India has just started nonstop flights between Delhi and San Francisco.

They still use the 777 with their old IFE system with even less content than their 787 on a 14+ hour flight
Hello. It was ok. But when you do a 14h flight you need many many options otherwise you get bored soon.
Same they have non-stop flights from dc to India,I’m actually taking one in 2 weeks thats 14 hours long.So good luck me!

Lovely report.. Have travelled only once on a 45 minute route via a 787 Dreamliner. Would love to experience the beauty of this one on a much longer route hopefully one day.
On another note, have you ever faced any questions / warning etc. from the security while filming at airports? I have always wondered whether its actually allowed?
Hello and thank you! Yes I had a few warnings and sometimes people do not like to be filmed so you have to be careful and respect those.

It seems like Air India is recommended. Gate B45 was so familiar to me, 2015 I flew with Ethiopian to Addis Abeba and to this gate stood the 777-200LR! You did me really holiday lousy :)!

How could you take the safety card as a present with you? It's part of the safety equipment on board and should lead passengers in case of an emergency landing to the exit? I would have definitely reported the crew!
Don't worry my friend. Normally before each flight they reload them again. Sometimes I even ask for the safety card. Its a nice souvenir. Regards

1.About the international flight it was very nice, also in the domestic it was good. I would say in the domestic flights it is the same with JetAirways, internationally I would say they are better than them. Even comparing with the Emirates (777), Air India is in the same level and maybe better.
2. Of course I will fly again with them and I would recommend the airline!

No it wasn't a Christmas flight. Usually in Germany during the Christmas they decorate a lot the streets, airports, squares, train stations etc. But I have Christmas fligth from Dusseldorf to Thessaloniki with Eurowings. Check it out.

air india has a bad name in gulf sector due to airindia express. if they had concentrated more in keeping time schedule and avoiding unexpected delays , they could be the no One in gulf sector also. in my flying experience, air India pilots are the best. they give a smooth touch down and we don't feel the landing.

does 777and 787 has got same seats legarooms etc ?
Hello. Each airline uses a different seat configuration. There are a few 777 that are still 3-3-3 but most of the are 3-4-3. United used also a 2-5-2 configurations. Talking in total numbers the cabin width of the 777 is 5,84m and the 787 is 5,49m. Maybe in the future we will see also 787 with 3-4-3 like in lowcost airlines. Qatar uses both confugurations 3-3-3 or 3-4-3. I think this is because the use the aircrafts in long or short distance flights.

Hello Emre and thank you for your comment! As about the seat configuration the airline chooses how they will have their seat. I wish it would be 2-4-2 as it gives you also more privacy when you are sitting in the 2 seats. I hope in the future we will not see 3-4-3 configuration...
