Great video I agree with you regarding the date window but they are forced to lower it as the layer above is the solar layer my other concern is the Prospex logo on a 100m watch without screwdown crowns or pushers, still its a great grab and go if you are in a hurry however, I have a routine where I get up in the morning get dressed choose a watch go over to the window wind my choice up set the time and date and only then I start my day. Digital is the way to go if you are late.
Hi Fredrick Tennant, agree with the Prospex logo on a chronograph, it just sort of makes my mind spin especially without a screwdown crown. I guess they are trying to diversity Prospex outside of dive watches but I rather they didn't. Yes it's great as grab and go but as a true grab and go, I rather go with a Casio Oceanus or Citizen Attesa or a Seiko Astron or just anything with time sync. I have debated buying an Astron just due to the heritage and as a nod to the great quartz behemoth but the thickness always put me off so I have both Casio and Citizen instead. Thanks for your comment and all the best to you, regards from Japan.
Hi Ned Flanders, thanks for your comment. I switched over to a new editor recently and it has allowed me to fix a lot of my problems in post so it's really helped!
Hi Jon Sonnenschein, thank you for the sub. It's great to know that I'm amongst such great company ;) I've also got the same channels probably on my list as well haha, my favourite is WatchChris, he's always got a cool head and isn't a snob and showcases watches from all price points. Cheers and all the best.
Hi Greaton Reviews, thanks for your comment. I've checked your channel out and subscribed ^_^ Cool video you have on the GSHOCK meltdown lol that's pretty sick. I'll do something similiar but with dirt and water maybe for my own GSHOCK video. I've been on the hunt for a solar GSHOCK either in red or clear but surprisingly they didn't make any it seems :( I've checked all over their catalogue and also chrono24 but alas nothing seems to be available. I wanted to get one in the new GA-B2100 but NO red :( I really love the red look on the GSHOCK but doesn't seem to have it in solar. So I tried looking for clear and there are lots of non-solar ones but finding it with SOLAR is tough! Well as always, all the best and keep it real homey. -Martin
@@watchluster Hi Watchluster Thank you for subscribing - I love your channel! also subscribed 😊 - I look forward to watching your time-lapse with some dirt! You have some amazing videos with historical breakdowns - Love it and I feel your passion! Super awesome! Red Squares I would say the G-Slide GWX-5600C-4JF - Tough Solar - Is on the older side but you can still find them about… Yes, unfortunately, the GA-B2100 is not available yet in red, is a shame and I’m sure it will look pretty awesome - They did it on the old 2100 In red so I expect that in the future they will also do it for the B2100 - Fingers cross for you! All the best too :)
It’s a kick ass watch. I have the bigger version. Unfortunately, I can’t locate any extra links for the bracelet I need to make it fit my large wrist. Called Seiko and they said they’re on back order snd they have no idea when they’ll be back in stock.
Hi Ned Flanders, you got one of the newer versions then I take it? They are 41.4mm on the spec sheet, they look much more like what I would have expected these initial versions to be like. I think those newer ones got it just right, perhaps the size they could have kept it lower at 40mm but the design and look of it just looks like a vast improvement over what they had before. I really dig the handset as well, pretty spiffy looking, has all the modern I was hoping this older version had. Oh well I won't complain too much I'm lucky enough as it is. Wear yours in good health and all the best.
Hi daaam!, I don't think there is a version without the solar power movement. There are mechanical versions but they will cost you $3000+ USD and isn't really worth it in my opinion. Here's a link to Seiko's Speedtimer lineup. www.seikowatches.com/us-en/products/prospex/speedtimer Cheers and all the best.

I wish they make a sign that would look more premium. My next target is the beige dial
Hi HVAC AE, sounds like a good plan. Glad you are enjoying them. All the best.
i love mine. I wasn't able to remove the pins to try new bands and bracelets though. What have you used to remove yours?
I used a regular springbar remover. I don't recall having any difficulties with it. Sorry can't help more.
Is there a variation of this watch without solar power ie a button cell?
