Kyle has always been kind of a casual when it comes to gun knowledge. People treat him like an expert because he was the pioneer for gun channels, even though he was basically fucking around with a shady FFL, and almost got himself killed a couple of times.

there's nothing wrong with a budget build. as long as you know what you're doing and your shit is zeroed in you'll be fine, at the end of the day it's pretty much the exact same gun shooting the exact same calibers.

I’ve used his same rifle out at a range. Kyle is absolutely right. It’s the loudest firearm I’ve ever used.

Was gonna say a .308 is not that painful of a bang. But my hearing now is horrible all because I never wore ear protection or even covered ears and regret it now. The loudest bang I've experienced was being in a old suburban and my dad shooting a .338 ultra mag while using the hood as a rest. Something about being in that big metal box made it more intense than any other time even with bigger caliber guns. Can't believe how dumb I was. Listen to your parents and use the ear protection they give you lol
My AR-10 has definitely affected my hearing. Seriously made me consider buying a suppressor.

For me my 12 ga is what made me start wearing hearing protection at the range, it was like a cannon going off everytime and the whole rest of the day would be slightly muffled so now I remember it
The loudest gun I have ever shot was a Ruger Super-Redhawk chambered in .30 Carbine, it doesn't recoil nearly as much as a .44 Mag but it's so loud and concussive that it's just awful to shoot, it's like getting muzzle-blasted by a tank every time you pull the trigger, even with ear-pro on it's very unpleasant, I have owned it since I was like 14 and have probably ran less than 20 rounds through it
Yep, there's no point making yourself deaf when you can easily prevent it. Being disabled doesn't make you more of a man (mostly talking to the younger guys who might think earpro is lame).

When i lived in Fort Benning Georgia, we had a trail out in the woods that homeless would try to use to sneak from Alanta into the base. We had a really bad storm one night, and most the houses only had wifes and kids home at the time, the neighborhood heard ungodly screams from the forest for hours during that storm. The morning following a group of officers investigated the area and basically reported that all they found was blood everywhere. The consensus was that the pigs tore someone apart during the night.

Once at an indoor range a guy next to me mag dumped 308 steel cased out of a Tavor and you can feel the shockwaves reverberating your body.

Kyle is 100% right about the .308s with a break. None of us could shoot at the range along with this guy with an HK 416 in 308. It was super distracting even in the hearing protection.
