I can’t tell if they’re being serious or just trying to be funny. I never knew you had such a great sense of humor! I haven’t seen something this hilarious in a while!
Every person who ever tried to do something like that by themselves knows that feeling… Thank you for sharing it’s so refreshing to see something real in our plastic glossy social media world!
WTF? You'll never forget this experience. Next time use white vinegar followed by baking soda and boiling water followed by isopropyl alcohol. There are many methods, find yours and stick with it.
After several nights of complex and ultimately unsuccessful work on my own broken dkwn motorbike its nice to see someone else also struggling snd swearing 😄
You sound like me when I work on stuff! Quote of the day, "Physics is sometimes an asshole!" Brilliant! Best of luck with the bike, can't wait to see it done.
Habe das bei meiner alten Suzuki GS 500 mit Danclorix und einem alten Batterieladegerät und einem alten Schraubenschlüssel gemacht. Das hat super funktioniert.
Funny. This was very un German, where we expect everyone to do everything perfectly with no problems. Glad you were brave enough to show all the f*ck ups, made for a good video. Danke. 😂😂
As soon as I heard “toilet cleaner” my brain went into panic mode……..& then I saw how many bottles…..& then I saw that you weren’t in a garage 😳…….but it did give me a laugh 🤣🤣🤣
@@FreeMilesMC Because you were shopping for the wrong product. Acetic acid is the active ingredient in vinegar used for this application. Also, I think calcium, lime, and rust remover may be a more effective option than toilet bowl cleaner. But it's possible they are made from the same stuff.
Just discovered your channel few days ago and this is exactly the type of aproach I like to motorcycles. I also love 80s and 90s bikes and I started pretty much like you, although I didn't tavel much so far. Just sunday riding at Portuguese Atlantic coast. About the tank, there are some really good products to de rust it, nut your approach is great and accessible! Love it! If you come to Portugal let me know as I have one or two machines you would lobe to see. Regards!
As far as i can see it's just a few rustspots in this tank nothing to worry about the petcock has a very fine mecsh filter that is good enough, your ideas for stopping leaks are hilarious, best way to stop this is a short fuel line with a 6mm bolt in the end 😅
But at the end we got it done. I was often fighting woth anxity about the topic of working on my bike aswell because espacially in the beginning stuff is going Like This 😂😂
Don’t worry you can leave as many comments as you want ☺️. You don’t really need to script something like that it’s kind of a Murphys law situation everything that can go wrong will go wrong ☺️
I think you made it absolutely clear in terms real DIY. Allways things going in different way of our imagenation. I made it once whit a lot of rusty tank but whit other kind of acid and rust remover after that. Every thing was great. I mean the result :D Тhe whole process was very tricky like you showing. I wasn't use tank sealer and tank is now rusty again although is stay full with gas... Can you share what seal product you use? I can't find it in other links.
For the fuelcock i used a old bit of bathtub, and clamped the fuelcock spacer (which my bike had) on it with the 2 bolts. In my experience, the de-rust and seal kit from tank cure is the absolute best. Also, when drying, if you think you have all the water out, splash about 200ml of isopropinol in the tank and shake it. Drain, and air out. Now the tank will be perfectly dru without using a blower, which can cause surface rust from forming.
Jesus fuckng Christ? Das ist auch nach zweitausend Jahren noch eine funktionierende Methode, Abonnenten loszuwerden. Vielleicht sollte man manchmal doch ein wenig darauf achten, was man sagt.
For next time, you can buy the acid pure at obi for a few euros the liter. I had almost the exact experience. My tank was too heavy and cracked the bucket underneath. Thankfully I was outside and no one saw me permanently end all life in this square meter of grass.
would of been better putting the glove piece over the hole and then screwing the petcock thingy back on to seal the hole and also doing it over a bath or shower base but stil funny to watch :D
This reminds me so much of my own attempt at fixing my old kawasaki. I ended up giving it away for free after I fucked it up so bad nobody wanted to buy it.
Make a stand for it connect mounting points to a long bolt on each side, put some metal bits inside and connect a power drill to one side let it RIP for a day or two , it will be brand new inside. Just remember to flush the tank.
Yooo why the hell did you do this inside😂 you must have missed my comment in an earlier video of you where i explained how i cleaned the tank of my Xj600 with cleaning vinegar in detail. First time it was leaking as well and had probably 10L of vinegar on my garage floor haha.
I needed water to clean it out and sadly don’t have a Place with water outside. I still remember your comment. I will get to Trying out your Methode it’s just Hard to get strong enough vinegar. Happy to See you commenting again ☺️
@@FreeMilesMC haha all good. Didnt mean it like why didnt you use my method. But more the part to make 100% sure the bottom is secured and doesn't leak😂 and my compliment that you dared to upload this episode just raw as it is. Just no shame and just the reality of how things can go when trying things out! Keep it going😎
@ianvanbussel3290 Thank you for the compliment☺️. Actually i was considering your Methode because of your comment but to get strong enough vinigar i would have had to cook the water out of a vinigar mixture to get a higher acid procentage and that in my kitchen and i thought that is Most likly a doumb Idea
@@FreeMilesMC with normal vinegar that might be necessary but cleaning vinegar is powerfull enough on its own. You can buy that almost everywhere. Canisters of 5L in bigger supermarkets or gardening or construction shops. Anyways, have a good evening and see yah!
does that monstrosity have 4 different carburetors? my god, i tried to find a mechanic to synchronize 2 in my 2 million population city and couldnt. i dont want to imagine the nightmare of 4 carbs. keeping them in sync after winter, after not riding for awhile, how do you survive that punishment?

I’ve found cider vinegar does a great job of removing rust from inside of gas tanks.
It was tuff to get strong enough vinigar.

when you picked up a pack of condoms i know it's quality DIY time , sorry for the struggle but it's really was fun .
