    Boot lid on one of my fathers cars would not stay open when we purchased it. Thought the torsion rods were weak, turns out the lid had a kardashian load of bondo on it, FOR NO REASON!!, stripped it all off to find a few small dents that went away with a skim coat. Bondo boy at the previous paint shop must have been paid by the gallon.

    Oh man, I've gone thicker than a dime - many many tens of times thicker, and almost always gotten many years with no blisters or bubbles.
    I've put Bondo in a tail light lens before!!!!!!!!
    If I was God, I'd build a whole 'nother Earth out of Bondo, just to show you...

      As I have as well, but this was over an inch thick right over the rust and booger welds. Nope, nope, nope!

    Yeah I hate it when people use Bondo instead of at least try to fix the metal as close to original as possible, and when they Bondo over rust, it's rediculous and just plain lazy as hell!
