This is 100% going to be the intro music to my party's dinner with Strahd! They'll hear it upon entering the castle, he'll be playing it with his back turned to them as they enter the room, his brides turned the face the party. Thank you for this!

If it helps, I have a longer version in my Ravenloft Playlist that I used for my own game.
I started it low as the group entered the castle and then slowly brought the volume up as they headed toward the dining room.

Little background info, I've been running CoS for about 2.5 years now with the same group of players. first year and a half was amazing, as i made it very thematic and ran it like the book tells you to. Evil overlord, world is dark and fucked, there's tiny rays of hope, but no place is safe from the corruption that Barovia brings. The party died (almost complete tpk) during the battle at the winery. Only 1 person survived.
Skip to break of 1 month (for me to prep) and new party enters Barovia. They meet with the only survivor of the old party, who has been lost in the mists for about 100 years (now old AF elf) and continue and find barovia has....changed. Strahd is still there, but never leaves the castle. He has given up so to speak. To try and provoke him the dark powers have allowed a previously unheard of amount of people into the plane, to the point that the town Barovia has become a genuine adventurers town, vallaki has been taken over by a demon cult, the druids have bolstered their ranks with new followers etc.
I'll be using this tune when the party finally dares to go into the derelict castle ravenloft, where they'll meet him in the dining room with the organ. He'll break down crying after playing the song if the party has been quiet.
Tldr; I'm fucking up the CoS narrative and am going touse this theme as a part of it., love the tune, thanks fr making it :)
Good luck. I've done something similar where I've run it multiple times but kept the continuity from each previous game. I think the players really like to see how things have changed due to the actions of their previous characters. Also, thanks much for the compliment. I'm glad you liked it.

This narrative makes no sense. Stradh does not feel any emotions anymore as it is stated in the book. Also if you take the horror aspect of the campaign away its not CoS anymore and your Sthrad is not Sthrad. But hey, whatever works for you and your players. Also, if you TPKed your party (unless they were not on appropriate level) you did something wrong.
@@Jay-bz5qk DnD's first rule is to have fun, not follow the books as written ! There can never be anything done wrong as long as everyone has fun !
@@Jay-bz5qk as said, great thing about DnD is that it's not copy paste and you don't have to follow the books word for word.
It makes sense for the authors game, then it makes sense. It may not to you, then their table isn't for you or maybe you need to not get too wrapped up in what the books say and maybe take some creative liberty yourself.

@@Lolzyhahas Yes. An ambient piece with no .. or little music and a more straight forward song. Actually, Ruins of Berez started as a song for Death house but got switched when I saw the art I used in the video.

Congratulations, very nice music! However I believe this would be better suited for the song he plays when you get to the castle instead of his theme. I believe that for a Strahd theme, the theme phrase should be more present in the song (a bit more repetition).
Actually, I agree. Honestly. I only put the subtitle in to draw the random eye. :) People into Ravenloft may have passed it by if they only saw Toccata in Red.

Is there any "Strahd-like" Adventure for Pathfinder 2e ?
No.... but no one is stopping you from making one. Time and opportunity is all you need.
You can also convert CoS to Pathfinder 2e. Won't be easy, but it's doable.
I took the *old* Ravenloft campaign and just ran it as a Pathfinder 1e game.
None of the stat blocks were super useful, but it wasn't hard to go pull
stuff out of the Bestiary. Started the party at 5th level, had various
side quests to level the players once they entered Barovia, mostly
focused on helping the last survivors in the town. Made sure to
spook em with Strahd so when they had to go out at night it was terrifying.
They went from 5th up to 9th of the course of the adventure until
their murderous crusade went after Strahd himself up in Castle Ravenloft.
Strahd himself was a Human Fighter 8/Sorcerer 4 with the Vampire
Template and a few other nasty tricks up his sleeve. Might seem
a bit harsh for 9th level players, but keep in mind:
A) It's Count Strahd von Zarovich. This is Dracula levels of
"Oh F*ck, we're all gonna die" we're talking about.
B) My players are (mostly) unrepentant power gamers.
Love em' but oh boy does it make for some *interesting* encounter balance
That campaign really took the edge of the Summer Quarantine while
we weren't in college classes. Highly recommend it if you're looking
to do some old fashion horror, especially with some of the quality flavor text in it.

Hmm...I do not. But I think my DAW might have a Sheet Music extension. I'll look and report back. I'm glad you enjoy it. I'd love to hear someone doing a "live" version.

It's a blend of three different pipe organs. Two sampled ones and one from...hmm, I think it was the Europa synth
