Ferris is great, thank you so much for doing a Ferris SRS video. I've been waiting this entire time for you to get to the Ferris and stand-on mowers and this is great now that it's finally here. I'm looking at purchasing the Z1 towards the end of the year here. Can't wait to see it more.
The best selling point about the Ferris is the vanguard oil guard system, that engine will last forever if you change the oil regularly. I have the 35hp vanguard on my Hurricane z3 and it sounds like a jet. I run Mobil synthetic oil in it and the oil never gets dirty. There’s lots of good mowers out like Toro, Wright, Scag but the oil guard system makes this mower idiot proof for your workers.
We bought two new Ferris SRS Z2 with the 28hp B&S engine and 52” decks...... one has 350hrs the other has 500hrs now, they have been awesome machines. They will climb a hill like no other, plenty of power, the efi Briggs motor is flawless, great cut quality, fast and comfortable.... my only real complaint has been where the oil filter is located makes a mess and we have one lift bar for the deck that periodically will bend. The Oil Guard system wasn’t available when I bought my mowers but that took care of the messy oil filter issue, and we made our own lift bar to solve that issue..... love the Ferris machines
I bought a FERRIS z2 (61" 28hp vanguard with oil guard) and F320z (61" 37hp vanguard)... Great prices ... I negotiated hard with the dealer to be out the door with taxes at $16,000 Love the mowers... If I could do it over again I'd spend the extra and get a 72" z3x
Look sweet I have a vride1 25 Kohler 52" 500 hours on it great mower velocity deck pro switch and regular maintenance I will be changing to bar tires next season turf tires tear up the turf to easy.
The only thing I dont like on my z2 are the bolts on the casters they can get hung up in chain link fences I wish they were rounded but very minor issue. I love mine. Awesome machine
“...give us your feedback, and tell us what we need to do better.” Craig, that’s a great closing line. It shows receptivity to input on areas where the product can be improved. The perfect mower doesn’t exist anywhere, from any manufacturer. However, those that demonstrate that they are journeying toward that goal, with constant improvement along the way, will always get a serious look from me. Brian, looking forward to your videos on this model.
Ferris an Dixie chopper are my favorites both of mine has well over 1300 hours the ferris cuts like a dream an the Dixie chopper just bull dozes any thing lol
Why stand on and not a walk behind what’s the main differences? I’m in the market for a new 52” and I’m trying to decide but can’t find any videos on the new Ferris walk behinds
I definetly want to see how this guy does on hills. If you can try and get some footage of heavy inclines. I know you play the risk of scalps and burns(so do we), but when you have thousands of square feet of hills, and want to save the time that it takes for pushers to do them.
I can give you a review on a Kubota. I have a Kubota diesel zero turn that’s 14 years old and I haven’t done anything to the motor but change the oil and put gas in it. And it takes 2 weeks to run it out of gas vs every other day with my gasoline mowers. Kubota is the best manufacture on this planet. Period. Not even a comparison. And believe me. I don’t baby it what so ever. If anything I torture it and use it as a bush hog. It’s a monster!!!
My dealer just let me demo the Z3X an it will be my next purchase it cuts, runs very well an it handles almost any terrain your brave enough to take it that’s banks an hills that is.
ChrisCross Lawncare do you like the vanguard motor on the 36? How does it handle minor slopes? Someone commented on here and it said it doesn’t have enough power. Maybe they got the 18 hp kawi? Is it an awesome lawn mower for small backyards? Thanks in advance.
mccool24 The 36” Z1 has plenty of power. 23hp on a 36” cut....that’s a ton! The Z1 does pretty good on the hills and slopes..when you first start using the 36”, there’s a “get used to” time because of the smaller size (I guess there was for us because of running 72 inch mowers as a standard on most of our jobs) I would definitely recommend the 23hp:36 inch FERRIS! Z1
Brian you're wearing my favorite shirt to wear when I'm not actually cutting grass but still doing business crap lol. I have no idea why I like the shirt so much.
I have a Ferris IS500. I really dislike it. It leaks hydraulic fluid, burns oil and doesn’t always like to start. I took it into to get repaired and they didn’t replace all the hoses. I spent $600 dollars for disappointment. I bought a Scag Tiger Cat 2 last summer and that is way better. I would advise you to try that mower. I do love the bagging systems on Ferris better than Scag
Wow he came from Grand rapids when I know darn well there's a Ferris dealer a lot closer to you Brian because I mow and and do landscaping not to far from you man
Those are dope but, they just don't have a big enough dealer network yet. Not really in our league I feel. But, they are a cool mower, I tried them out at GIE last fall. Comfy seat!
I was considering one, test drove it ... I think they will be an option in a couple years but hearing problems owners have I think they still have a few bugs to work out ... Quality doesn't seem consistent yet
Awesome, I’ve been watching you demo mowers! We just bought the Z3X and we call it the beast for a reason! Lol I just learned how to ride a stander this year and it’s definitely a game changer. Good luck with your purchase!
FERRIS ALL THE WAY! I’ve got all Ferris mowers from zero turn to walk behind to stander. Been demoing a ton of other standers the last few months and in my opinion the only brand that comes close is Wright. Terrible local dealer for weight so another Ferris is about to join the club
I have a 61” Z2. Almost 300 hours and I love it! At one point I had a Scag and the Z2 at the same time. After one year of using both I traded the Scag in on an 61” IS2100.
Looks good. I enjoy the reviews. I'm looking at a stand on as compared to a zero turn. Seems more efficient to just get on and off etc. Keep up the good work.
Florida Treasure Hunter yeah a lot of the selling point of the oil guard system is less maintenance because the increase capacity and cooling up the oil and easier maintenance by the location of the oil and filter
How did it compare to the Vride 2? I own 2 exmarks one 48" lazer z hp and one 60" lazer x. One ferris 48" CCDD and one 36" scag vride II . I like the scag just fine but I kinda regret not buying the ferris 36" Z1
Main thing I would like to know is how it handles Wet Grass. Grass is always wet in the morning especially with all the rain this year. Thanks for all the Hustle in putting these Lawn Mower Videos together
This is exciting, great mower! In my opinion, Scag and Ferris are definitely the top two. I think the Scag has the better deck, but the ride-and-drive quality are much better on the ferris. They're both great it really comes down to personal preference. If you do a lot of flat fast mowing, the velocity deck on the Scag would probably be better. But if you do a lot of off-camber Hills or crazy maneuvering, I think the ferris would be better
Brian's Lawn Maintenance 👍 Also wanted to say, it's really great how you interact with the viewers in your comments. A lot of channels say they will, but few ever really do. We appreciate it!
Ferris by far has the best stand on mowers on the market. I’ve tried every other brand and Ferris had them beat everytime!! I have a Z2 and definitely recommend it...
I have the Ferris z3200 with a 72 in deck and 37 EFI and love the mower i only wish I had the oil guard system but I just missed that by one year mines a 2016.
Michiana Lawn Care I saw a F320Z with the Kawi FX850V EFI for $8000. However I would have preferred the VG 37EFI with Oil Guard. I believe the IS3200Z adds about $1000 which gives you the suspension. Was that model an option, or was that model not discounted? Curious why you didn’t opt for the suspension model.
Ferris mowers are great! Used about 8 different models over the last 11 years and their zero turns are amazing. I mow 7 acres of our fire company property which is mostly uneven field using the IS 3100 with a Vanguard 32 hp big block in a 61" deck and 7 acres takes about 2 hours on average. We have had the mower for 9 years and its going strong with 500 hours and no major issues. Dealer support and service is huge though. Best of luck. I have faith in Ferris. If this unit performs like their zero turns it may take the crown.
i love your vids man keep it up and f all them hater keep on getting paper u make me what to grow my small lawn care and im only 14 you are a great man and thank for the great quality man keep it up
I run a ferris is600z zero turn. Its a 48 inch cut and i like it. It has the wide tires, great stability on slopes and hills. The only thing i wished my had was the foldable ROPS. Other than that i like it.
Alot of guys running those over here in the grand rapids/grandville area for sure. Woodland equipment sells alot of them, scag and wright. Im diehard scag, but I admit, those ferris mowers look awesome and cut great! I do like the fact they use the same marbian steel blades as scag! tough call for sure!
Agreed , Im a Scag guy but not sure if I like the V-Ride 2 enough to buy it . This is looking like a good option although I wish he brought the z2 52" as the Z3 is just to big for me . Still hard to beat the V-Ride Gen 1 when it comes to standers IMO .
Please mention how well the ferris stripes in comparison to the Scag. That is very important to me and I don't know of anyone else that has operated both that can compare. Thank you so much.
I’ve basically have used every standing unit, and I can say this is the best one yet! I’ve been in the business for 30 yrs. The hydraulics are quick snappy, and like you said buttery smooth. I just came from grandstands to these. The cut is a lot better than Toro, and stripes nicely. Toro cuts nice but when in deeper grass the Toro leaves sprigs, and have to double cut. Not that way with Ferris. The Briggs 28 Hp Vanguard has the torque like a diesel, and has plenty of power to spare. If you are looking for a stander, I highly recommend the ones I’ve got is the 52/61” Z2.
Why does the mainland love there walk behind mowers so much??? I’m very curious. In Hawaii I have never seen one before, everyone here has sit on zero turns or garden mowers. Only walk behind is the little 21” push mowers.
What do you guys think about the Ferris Z3X? Leave me a comment down below!
Definitely looks like they covered everything, can’t wait to see it cut.
Try a John Deere
Ferris is great, thank you so much for doing a Ferris SRS video. I've been waiting this entire time for you to get to the Ferris and stand-on mowers and this is great now that it's finally here. I'm looking at purchasing the Z1 towards the end of the year here. Can't wait to see it more.
Best warranty in the industry
Brian's Lawn Maintenance I like it cuts nice
Thanks BIG. Grea.
Thanks Ferris man for showing and telling great job have a good one see ya next time see ya bye.
I just got a job at a Ferris Dealer here in Oviedo, Florida... What a Mower !!!!
Caught some serious wood on this video. Thanks to the Craig Meister. What a machine
I have the SRS Z2 and absolutely love it.
Totally agree
Brian's Lawn Maintenance piece of mind is priceless
I wish could have one of those
Could you do a demo on the spartan mowers ??
Maybe! That would be a fun one.
We run a Ferris is2100z and a Ferris srsz1 with a 48 inch deck and man can that thing lay some stripes down very impressive machine.
Bought the same mower the 2020 model it's amazing best dam mower I've ever had!
My neighbor has a ferris and He also has the nicest cut yard in the neighborhood .. My next mower will be a ferris the cut is Amazing!
I justed picked up a 72" Z3X with the Vanguard for $8,300 out the door!! Great product for a great price
I know this is an old video, but this is a wonderful mower. Only thing is, the hydro belts seem to go out around 250 hours.
love the video just thought i'd share something i was laughing so hard about 3:59 XD
I love your videos make more videos of tractors mowers standing up🤟🏻🤟🏻👋💪
We bought two new Ferris SRS Z2 with the 28hp B&S engine and 52” decks...... one has 350hrs the other has 500hrs now, they have been awesome machines. Great guy. He just brought me out a Wright
U should try bobcat mower
I bought a FERRIS z2 (61" 28hp vanguard with oil guard) and F320z (61" 37hp vanguard)... Great prices ... I negotiated hard with the dealer to be out the door with taxes at $16,000
Love the mowers...
You should demo the Wright stander x2 or zk
I have 4 Ferris mowers. Evolution 52. 2100 series 61. 3100 series 61. And last and least Z1 36. I am obviously a fan of Ferris
Try a wright stander
Brian, Hustler Super S. You will not be disappointed.
Bad to the bone brother keep up the awesome work Thank you Craig
Brian have you demoed the Hustler super S
Have to say I’m really enjoying your videos this season
Thanks pal, me too!
Can u do one for cub cadet z force 60 in.
“...give us your feedback, and tell us what we need to do better.” Craig, that’s a great closing line. It shows receptivity to input on areas where the product can be improved. Brian, looking forward to your videos on this model.
Great point pal. Love it
Steven Gandt great point... I think Ferris is doing it
Brian have you demoed the Hustler super S?
Thanks Craig
Ferris an Dixie chopper are my favorites both of mine has well over 1300 hours the ferris cuts like a dream an the Dixie chopper just bull dozes any thing lol
Why stand on and not a walk behind what’s the main differences? I’m in the market for a new 52” and I’m trying to decide but can’t find any videos on the new Ferris walk behinds

Will do this week
Awesome thank you. Especially when you're looking at 3500 used compared to 10 grand new
Try the gravely pro stance. I have one and love it. You can raise the deck with you foot or hand. Not as big on hp but save gas!!!!!!!!
Soon!
you should do a review of the Kubota a mower
They're cool units but you don't see much Kubota up here besides the tractors of course.
Oh I gotcha, OK! Thank you for the reply
I can give you a review on a Kubota. I have a Kubota diesel zero turn that’s 14 years old and I haven’t done anything to the motor but change the oil and put gas in it. I don’t baby it what so ever. If anything I torture it and use it as a bush hog. It’s a monster!!!
mccool24 That would be cool
My buddy just bought a Ferris 52 this year. He loves it
Can you get these in Australia.been out of the industry for some time.
I’m not sure sorry
My dealer just let me demo the Z3X an it will be my next purchase it cuts, runs very well an it handles almost any terrain your brave enough to take it that’s banks an hills that is.
Sweet!
Thank you Craig
We run three Ferris mowers. 2-IS3200Z 37hp/72" and a Z1 23hp/36"
like them a lot
ChrisCross Lawncare do you like the vanguard motor on the 36? How does it handle minor slopes? Someone commented on here and it said it doesn’t have enough power. Maybe they got the 18 hp kawi? Is it an awesome lawn mower for small backyards? Thanks in advance.
ChrisCross Lawncare I’m not expecting great stripes like the bigger models but does it stripe any at all?
mccool24
The 36” Z1 has plenty of power. 23hp on a 36” cut....that’s a ton!

Brian you're wearing my favorite shirt to wear when I'm not actually cutting grass but still doing business crap lol. I have no idea why I like the shirt so much.
I like how Craig said see u later not bye.
Good observation!
Pace also deals with wright. Or they use to.
Have you thought about doing a quick video on best hedge trimmer you like that's out there?
I like the ECHO 2420 and the Stihl 56C or whatever theirs is!
I think this is the mower to buy Brian for you..... I see a pair of these puppies in your trailer... 2 different sizes
Only one mower for me at a time lol. But I will be keeping the Z for clean ups.
Are you thinking more 61" or 72" Brian?
I drove one of these at my local dealer and loved it, very stable and comfortable.
I used to build Ferris. Munnsville, NY thanks you
I have a Ferris IS500.
Sorry to hear that but good to know!
hey brian try this mower VENTRAC 4500
Soon!
I want to see anything from John Deere preferably something bigger then the Z930m cause that's what I currently run
Would you have a estimated time
this is the best stand on mower ive seen yet i thank you should by it
Maybe!
Interested in seeing you getting a Hustler Super S for demo. Just to see how they handle you putting their machine through your testing.
Well see, not much Hustler around here though.
Thanks Craig! Looking forward to this one.All local guys run this in my area, cant wait to see how it stacks up to the scag and exmark
Thanks Craig. I will be looking into Ferris for sure when upgrading lawn mowers because of the value and build quality.
Wow he came from Grand rapids when I know darn well there's a Ferris dealer a lot closer to you Brian because I mow and and do landscaping not to far from you man
Thats a nice looking machine.
Try out the bob cat mowers
I got the 61 inch is 700 238 hours. Great machine for the work i do. Thanks brian for this video! I need a
A 36 or 42 stander.
Thanks Craig for demo.
thanks craig!!!!
Test out the Spartan Mower!!!
Best looking mowers out there I think though :)
I just bought the Ferris Z2 and love it. Haven’t had one issue.
Awesome, I’ve been watching you demo mowers! We just bought the Z3X and we call it the beast for a reason! Lol I just learned how to ride a stander this year and it’s definitely a game changer. Good luck with your purchase!
That's good to know! I think we all met at the Ferris booth last fall on the last day too, wasn't it? lol.
Thanks Craig!!
Go ferris
Really looking forward to seeing these mowers! They look GREAT. Nice job Brian!
I Love the Ferris mower
It is more efficient to have a helper pick up the trash just before you cut. With a ztr you will be less spent at the end of the day.
Would like to know how easy it is to get the blades on and off, change the oil and filter, and access to grease the spindles.
Florida Treasure Hunter the oil filter is right on top of the metal reservoir there. It’s a cartridge type that pulls out.
Florida Treasure Hunter yeah a lot of the selling point of the oil guard system is less maintenance because the increase capacity and cooling up the oil and easier maintenance by the location of the oil and filter
I have the z2 52 inch. Greasing the spindles takes 2 minutes. Nothing in the way.
Oh my goodness. Its Craig!!! Glad he hooked you up. Good guy..
I have their smaller 60in zero turn with the Briggs vanguard and love it
Can you do a video for the best backyard mower like a 36” for the guys that have a lot of small yards/gates.
I will try, perhaps after we demo all the bigger units. Well see, I don't do many gated back yards so it's tough for me to do those units.
We have the z1 36” & z2 52”. Absolutely love everything about them
Nice trailer, plenty of room. That Ferris looks fast just standing still!
Thanks pal
Geeze ! Id almost rather have that than a 1970 dodge challenger with a 440 in it ....
Looks like a great unit. I would certainly want to check one out. Can't wait to see it cut.
How did it compare to the Vride 2? I own 2 exmarks one 48" lazer z hp and one 60" lazer x. One ferris 48" CCDD and one 36" scag vride II . I like the scag just fine but I kinda regret not buying the ferris 36" Z1
They're all close. I am leaning towards one unit over the other though, I will say that.
Brian's Lawn Maintenance and which unit is that?
Jimmy Cassell why do you regret not getting the z1 36?
Beautiful mower.
I'm a huge Scag guy but I think my next stander is going to be Ferris
Love my ferris z1 36
I am looking for earmuffs with a microphone
Ferris is awesome. Try out big dog and bobcat as well.
Main thing I would like to know is how it handles Wet Grass. Grass is always wet in the morning especially with all the rain this year. Thanks for all the Hustle in putting these Lawn Mower Videos together
Changing Seasons Landscape & Water Features they clump in the wet
Will do
Changing Seasons Landscape & Water Features zero turns suck on hills when wet you just slide down the hill

Brian's Lawn Maintenance 👍
Also wanted to say, it's really great how you interact with the viewers in your comments. A lot of channels say they will, but few ever really do. We appreciate it!
have you tried the new ferris deck for 2023? I've heard its improved a lot
Ferris by far has the best stand on mowers on the market. I’ve tried every other brand and Ferris had them beat everytime!! I have a Z2 and definitely recommend it...
Sullivan Lawn Care nice!
Great walkaround as always Brian!
Great mower but I really don't like those icd decks, they just don't cut like an exmark.
I have the Ferris z3200 with a 72 in deck and 37 EFI and love the mower i only wish I had the oil guard system but I just missed that by one year mines a 2016.
drew k yeah I got a great deal on a f320z that was no oil guard but with the 37efi ... Couldn't pass it up at basically $7500

Quality ... I bought a z2 61" with the 28hp Vanguard EFI... Amazingly good on gas, great mower ... Heard all the same about the 52" ... Go for it ..
Please mention how well the ferris stripes in comparison to the Scag. That is very important to me and I don't know of anyone else that has operated both that can compare. Thank you so much.
That's on my radar for sure. That's something I want to compare personally too.
@@BriansLawnMaintenance did you ever get to compare?
I’ve basically have used every standing unit, and I can say this is the best one yet! I’ve been in the business for 30 yrs. The hydraulics are quick snappy, and like you said buttery smooth.
