    Good luck with your builds! Even if you're using glass or plastic, it's always nice to have a tank. And yes, plastic/acrylic tanks can be polished while glass really can't be...but polish often requires using nasty chemicals. There are perks and downsides to both types of tanks. Cheers!

    I’m fascinated by microfishing! It certainly seems like fishing and getting ready to fish are all about reveling in small details. Do you find that most successful fisher folk are detail oriented?

      Microfishing is definitely growing in popularity. But yeah...I'd say most anglers I know are pretty meticulous about the details like their gear and lure preferences.

    Brilliant builds. They look great. Can I ask what camera equipment you’re using? Your macro shots are incredible.

      Thanks! The camera I used is a Nikon D7500. The lens I used for these shots is nothing fancy, just a Nikon 18-55mm AF-P Nikkor, 3.5 to 5.6G.

    Thanks for the great tutorial. Finding a good tank that is just the right size can be difficult. What dimensions would you suggest for typically-sized creek chubs / common shiners and the like?

    • @KNFishingSmarts
      @KNFishingSmarts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you liked it Michael. So for most creek chubs and common shiners I really like having my 9"x3" that's 4.5" tall. It's so versatile. The only problem is when I land the big 10-12" breeding male creek chubs...those usually end up in my 3 gallon tank. My 7" x 2.5" x 3.5" tall is also a good choice for those species. Hope that helps.

    I was just going to buy a small plastic container at the dollar store and then buy a new one the next time I go. Its $1. Recycle it after.

      Yeah, I mean I get that. I still always have plastic tanks on-hand...they just don't last long for me.
