Hello. My mirrors arrived with no 'little holders' (Left and Right, for them to slot into). Were yours already in the body or were they a part of your snap-out plastic pieces? 8:28
Great video. Just got the beige one today. Mine had the Toyta badge in the grill already installed...or it is actually part of the molded grill which is very nice because there is no chrome background making the logo stand out. Also mine has windscreen wipers. Cool that they seem to update the models
@@rcpiei dont have those transparent paints so i decided to paint mine in sharpie permanent markers. Should i color it inside or outside of the light for realistic see-through look?
How did you paint the TOYOTA name at the back ? Did you do it by hand with a fine paint brush. I tried using a tire paint pen but without success. So much smudge.
Cannot wait for mine to come in! Think. I am going to use clear packing tape, an exacto knife and a paint pen to highlight the Toyota on the back of the bed.
Is it possible to paint the chrome trim prior to install and have it be chip-resistant? Maybe a slight scuffing?
I'm not sure what you'd paint it with but perhaps several coats of some sort of varnish/ clear-coat might work.

I think they were just loose with the plastic bits (around 4:50).

looks realistic👍
It's quite a nice little truck, isn't it?
Looks great! Did you paint the inside or outside of the clear taillights?
The inside of the lenses and then the light buckets in silver.

A paint brush, acrylic paint and patience.
@@rcpie I believe you still have a stable hands to do this delicate painting.
@@allansoria3478 Thanks! The hands are ok but the eyes are awful!
What did you use to make the taillights? Is the paint washable?
Yes, it's washable. It's Tamiya X26 & X27. Clear Orange & Clear Red.
is it possible to make wheels go in the fender? so it's gonna look more scale btw i order this model and it's coming 😀
I spent a bit of time trying to improve the ride height with bits that I had in but I need to try to order some better shocks and try again.
@@rcpiesome good tune oil shock and add some weight will do 😃
@@OVERCLOCKER1150 I'm not convinced. Those shocks aren't good and will leak. Extra weight will make it top heavy too
Watched the whole video to see how you painted the Toyota logo...
Carefully.. with a brush.
I didn't bother recording it as I thought it would be too dull even for us that like this kind of thing! Apologies. 😬
@@rcpie thanks, that's good enough for me. Thought maybe there's some secret to it because it looks very good!
@@nultianeks Cheers for the vote of confidence! 😄
