Just throwing this out there.. So what if the voices are pitchy..? It's a high school production- they've probably got the best voices they could find. In addition to that, you have to work with what you've got; if those are the only people who auditioned, so be it. Throw in lack of training with nervousness, and you've got a shaky voice. They're actually not bad.
Well it needed more energy and the dancing was really weak but other than that it was good! Gabriellas voice was amazing, but I don't know why that girl got to be Sharpay. She has great potential, but wasn't quite ready for such a big role. Ryan was spot on though! And so was Taylor. I didn't think it quite made sense to have a mr Darbus though...
Let's be honest, it is weak. I'm not fully sure if the right decisions have been made over the cast. Also, in Status Quo, some of the harmonies were so bad I was physically cringing. There was no dance choreographed for Start of Something New (a necessity in musical theatre) and also when there was choreography, it was weak. To be honest, I think my school will do better this January
Good versions of musicals usually charge for a copy of the show, you can't just film it so you probably aren't going to find a good version of this anywhere

My high school is doing this for our spring musical. Auditions are tomorrow and the entire school pretty much knows who's getting which parts.
