I'm a Drama teacher and I can tell you that I watch many of these youtube posted videos of musicals and every single one of them is full of horrible and negative comments. Shows never look good when they are videod and posted . This is a very good production. You all did a great job and should be proud of your selves
Randall Connoly I agree that it is horrible. I personally was in this show and they all sucked. Not to be mean to the singers. The person who played Gabriella was the best. And it wasn't really the singers it was more the horrible directors that screwed it over. They never told us what to do and they are idiots. So please hate on this video :)

Wow, negative comments on here. I've never seen the movie but I'm currently doing sound for a high school production of this, except ours has like 200% less production values....! Anyway good job kids. Love the songs. Also, if you're a sound engineer, never agree to operate 16 channels of wireless audio by yourself for a budget show. 2 performances to go......
My comment wasn't meant to be condescending, because yes, most schools have small budgets for drama productions (including mine, but we are very good at making do with what we have). It is a good thing they designed the stage version for small sets or else it could only be pulled off by large theatre companies.
im doing High School Musical with the theature company im in. im super exited were trying to stay as true to the movie as possible so im super exited. its coming out really well

i kinda feel like they didn’t put too much effort into this show. I’m in a production of hsm that mostly consists of middle and high schoolers. our production is going a lot smoother than this, we’re pretty close to opening too. I also kinda feel like the guys in this production were the stereotypical high school theatre guys, if ya know what I mean. Like the ones that are cornered by the teacher in the hallway and told they have to play the lead lmao. Also I really loved the jack Scott. Sharpay was kinda shit tho. Taylor was really good. I liked her. Same with Gabriella

There's just one line that's always bugged me: "Just like kindergarten" (56:30, 1:32:55, and 1:39:01). If they just met at the karaoke thing on New Years Eve, how do they have shared memories back to kindergarten (as is implied by the fact that they've both said it to each other as a means to get them focused).
Team EAK They’re referring to when in kindergarten you could meet someone new and be best friends ten seconds later, and that that’s how they feel when they sing together. Gabriella says it when they are in Troy’s “secret hideout”. I get how it could be confusing though 😂 xx
