P.S. - As a chaplain, I've played this a LOT this Christmas season, as I visit with patients on hospice. It gives them such peace - thank you for posting.
I’ve been a somewhat respected musician in Australia for many years. I cut my teeth on Choral music in the 1960’s and 1970’s and then joined one of Australia’s most respected country rock bands ‘Bluestone’. The band had a number of hit records, recorded and performed in the US a number of times and was well reviewed and rem😂 This performance of ‘O Holy Night’ by ‘Girl Named Tom’ is one of the most competent, beautiful and moving performances I’ve ever heard! I’m so happy for you GNT and wish you every success for the future! I trust many others are moved by this performance. It’s very special…..
You reach my soul. What a beautiful song. Your voice is angelic and all 3 of you were just wonderful. Thank you for sharing. Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year to all Nations and all people. Happy Birthday Jesus
As many times as this song has been covered it's very difficult to come up with an original interpretation but you guys did it! Stunningly beautiful. Bekka is one of the greatest singers of this generation. All three of you are fantastic! Merry Christmas!
THIS is WHAT you DO BEST! Lush- RICH harmony & vocals! Being your authentic selves, & touching other's souls with all of your heartfelt expressions! Keep it up.! Rooting and 🙋♀ praying for all of you up here in Michigan!!
Flawless execution of a very well produced video, using your voices to enhance the message of the song while respecting it, moved your performance to the fore without detracting from the song. Something of a vanishing ability among young musicians. Long way around to saying you made me feel. Bravo 👏🏻
The vocals, the music, the atmosphere...everything fit together so well. This is how it should be. Congratulations to a warm hearted presentation and .....Thank you.
So glad to hear you! Every song you sing, speaks from the heart! The harmony is impeccable.. Never stop singing together. God Bless You! Mellanie from Pennsylvania
Wow what a outstanding beautiful voice🎶 , this song is so peaceful, so full love. ❤️💖❤️ Especially this day where we can see the inside of Notre Dame of Paris ,🕍✨ finally restored by 3000 craftsmen⚒️, after its terrible fire, I'm really happy to listen to this wonderful song .❤️🍀🎶💫 Peace on Earth to all those of good will ❤🍀🦋💫🌎💖
Saw their Christmas Concert Sunday night. I am still looking for adjectives to describe it's greatness. And that coming from someone whose been to hundreds of concerts. And it was much more than a concert! A great musical production...plus!
First of all, great video! Very well done! I see you have a concert in my neck of the woods (Anaheim) this Thursday. I am sorry I won't be able to attend. I am originally from Archbold living now in Ventura CA. Hope to catch you on your next western tour! Love ya all!
our Christmas CD will be available in our website starting this Friday! O Holy Night isn’t on this CD, but plenty of other great classics are :) thank you, you too!
💿 🎄😇 🎁 Absolutely, reverently beautiful... and I hope you sing this live on The Voice. But when do we get a full album? Maybe in time for Christmas gift giving?

TY for saying IMAGINE…. Another words he didn’t really sing these songs. I love the song and hope he truly feels this way. We all need to be praying to Our Father, for our Presidents safety and his guidance to be the best president this country has r we had.
You mean the low-intellect, low-knowledge, incurious, make-up wearing, adulterous, unethical, immoral, self-serving, crony-serving malignant narcissist? Insofar as all religion is a scam perpetrated on the gullible, perhaps he does in fact best represent your mythology. He doesn't represent the needs of the average Amerian or the goals of the great democratic experiment however.
Such a beautiful trio, voted for you on Voice, love you all but to the sister who is singing about our Lord and Savior, please cover up, that doesn't look right when singing about Jesus❤
@joycerose9164 Evidently the clergy and staff of this Nashville church were not at all concerned about the concert gown Bekah was wearing for the filming of this video. Knowing that all three members of Girl Named Tom (Bekah, Caleb, and Josh) are people of deep integrity who exemplify Micah 6:8 every day of their lives, I am certain that the clergy and leaders of that church were thrilled to have them! I don't ever recall Jesus saying in the Gospels "Follow me, but first cover those bare shoulders." Plus, doesn't the Good Book tell us that "the Lord looks on the heart" (and, by extension, not on what we are wearing)? Some of the most immodest (i.e., self-righteous, judgmental) people in churches are the ones most buttoned up to the neck. It's the heart and soul that matter! Never mind what Paul said in his letters about women in worship. He was addressing local, culturally-driven issues and other problems. Show me what Jesus required in the Gospels and then we can talk about it. Bekah, Caleb, and Josh are three of the humblest, kindest, most thoughtful people you'll ever meet, no matter what they're wearing.
Doesn't "the Good Book" say that "the Lord looks on the heart?" This a beautiful carol sung by three beautiful souls in a beautiful space. Focus on the message being delivered so sincerely, and not on their shoulders! What "looks right" is the joy on their faces. I can't imagine that Jesus would object!
Let's be clear. This commentator prefers Southern Gospel and evangelical praise. So, let them raise their hands, praise Jesus, and worship with their own kind. Leave GNT for the rest of us to appreciate as veritable angels (i.e., messengers) bringing the Light of Hope through this transcendent carol. Phelps is the best ever? Seriously? Just ask the God who values our rituals and songs (remember the Hebrew prophets?) far less than our commitment to love and justice. Bekah, Caleb, and Josh embody Micah 6:8 as much as anyone, from what many of us know of them. They sing with their hearts and hands wide open to bring harmony to the world. Plus, they are still newly-minted professionals! Their flawless Christmas pops concert with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra (December 4, 2024; I was there!) undoubtedly established them as a vocal act that can perform confidently with any world-class pops orchestra, bar none (and I once had parishioners that performed with the Boston Pops). Tears and smiles all around that night among the 1400-plus people in the Schermerhorn Symphony Center! Holiday spirit in abundance. The Christ of Christmas very present from "What Child is This" to ""O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" to "O Holy Night." A robust and unanimous standing ovation at the end! GNT has improved exponentially since they formed in 2019. Their star is rising! "To each their own" in terms of what inspires us musically. I encourage the writer of this comment to try unqualified compliments that are meant to to encourage these newly-minted professional performers, whose talent is only exceeded by their humility and kindness; and, by their courage and commitment to bring a positive message to our broken world. How about an unqualified compliment next time instead of "...but you'll NEVER be as good as so-and-so. EVER!" What a Humbug! Give thanks instead that performers like GNT are out there, singing their hearts out for a better world. We need more of them!
@brucegreer129 I encourage you to be less judgemental as you so highly preach. If you haven't heard Phelps version, I understand your ignorance. I didn't condemn them as bad I just know a better version. My opinion. Move along holier than thou. I am no saint and I don't profess to be so your reply to this is not needed. Have the day you deserve holy one.
@@thehoop74 I did listen to Phelps and I do not speak from ignorance, but from 60+ years of loving music across many genres, choral singing since the mid-'60s, college voice study, almost 50 years of leading worship, and as an encourager of young talent, etc. (Broadway star from one of my congregations.) I was simply challenging your double-edged comment. In one breath, you tell GNT that their version was beautiful; yet, in the next breath you tell them that they will never EVER be as good as Phelps. What parent would compliment a child that way? Phelps is a great singer, yes; but, one of many great "O Holy Night" singers across 150+ years. That's a fact, not an opinion. Judgmental or not, I stand by my comment, without resorting to insults. Holier than thou or not, I believe in the sacredness of the human spirit, the beauty of sincere intention, and the importance of kindness and encouragement. If that's preachy, I'm preaching it! Tell Phelps and his followers how wonderful he is and GNT and their followers how wonderful they are. Keep the two separate. We are all "holy ones," equally imperfect as we are. Can we at least agree that we have different tastes in music, and that what moves you may not move others? And, that your universal claim is far too narrow, considering the almost limitless breadth of cultural and musical expressions? Merry Christmas!

Exactly my thought…the guys are wearing turtlenecks but there is NOTHING MODEST about having “the girls” on display in church!!
