First off I want to say congrats on winning the contest Mike and thanks for the insight. You cleared up a misconception on my part. This updated Display GPS still falls short since all it can do is see where you are and where you've been without connecting your phone. What other GPS doesn't have turn by turn built in? Ski-Doo missed the mark again in my opinion. The New Arctic Cat GPS is going to make this one look like a joke next season. They also left anyone with a 7.8 display with no options to upgrade. Nice job! I'm enjoying the videos just the same.
Thanks buddy. It was an experience of a lifetime. I agree - it's more of a bandaid solution at this point, until the next step is figured out with BRP app and how to possible get it all working without connecting your phone wireless. Time will tell. Love your vids too! Cheers, Mike
@@jodypierson3137 Gotta keep it real. We pay a ton of money for these sleds and they just keep stringing us along with incomplete upgrades year after year. I told Gary that I won't buy any new one until they really fix this display and it's not a stand along turn by turn gps so it's a fail for me. Drop the app a make a product that works!
My ‘19 Adrenaline 900T seems so outdated now. Reason I purchased 4 stroke was longevity. With only 5k miles on it, I won’t be upgrading anytime soon. The 5th gen suspension and guage setup is sure sweet though. Thanks for sharing info.
Kind of curious as to what maps will be on the gage??? For the state of Maine, will it just be the ITS trails? What about during the season when the there are reroutes?
@sledaddicz I downloaded Trail Masters right onto my 7S display I now have turn by turn GPS for 25 bucks . The Polaris 1 is not exactly turn by turn but it's good if you create way points its accurate brings you in right direction
It’s an improvement, but the screen will continue to be a pos until you can get turn by turn without connecting a phone. Personally I will not order the big screen again. Feel ripped off on my 2023!
If you absolutely need turn by turn, you’re an idiot. Just follow the damn map line on the new embedded GPS and call it good. Besides, what the hell is the problem with connecting your phone in a warm compartment while it charges?
You can update your 23' or 24' model with the GPS module to get integrated maps. You don't get this over the wifi updates but you will be able to update your warmers with the wifi update. Hope that's clear. Cheers, Mike
I asked our dealer if the Adrenaline or Sport could work with a 10.25" display. Answer was No. Due to differences in the way the two lower tier sleds are designed. If you have an X or XRS it's possible to add the 10.25" screen, at least for 2025 anyway.
@@sledaddicz for the last 3 years have been waiting on this. I may have to cross to the dark side and go polaris. hate to have to buy the trail tech on top of a new sled price
@@sledaddicz It’s very buggy, it crashes frequently or just doesn’t work period. It’s a very well known fact! I thought everyone was just over exaggerating, until it happened several times to me as well. Relying on cell service in the bush is not very smart. Yes, I know about downloads, but that is a whole separate can of worms.
@Upracefan we only speak from our experience. It was very unstable for a while but the past few rides it has worked flawlessly for us. 90% in no cell service.
I will always run the Garmin regardless. A couple trips this year I was running BRP GO all day long and had no issues. We always run the garmin because it is in my line of sight versus the gauge where I have to look down. Plus all my previous routes are always shown on the Garmin. I have like a whole network of backcountry trails saved just from riding lol. Cheers, Mike
For a $100 part for 23-24 sleds just load the BRP go onto the module and let’s have BRP go gps without a phone.. Soo stupid. It’s gonna be a junky base gps that won’t work in areas that arnt huge mapped trail areas I’m sure anyways. Sad brp 10 years later still has the shottiest gauge when compared to Polaris and Arctic cat. Sad really. The gauge looks pretty and has big numbers but it is still useless..
It isn't ideal. But its more of an inconvenience then anything. Once your phone is plugged in it works flawlessly so I wouldn't call it a terrible experience. Cheers, Jesse
@@sledaddicz maybe i was a bit dramatic... at least its a step in the right direction - in the coming years hopefully they utilize a Bluetooth connection as the means instead of a cord.

Can I see the top speed on the 2025 update? And fuel consumption?
So will the GPS module be able to be connected to the 7.8 display or just the 10.25????
Thanks for the vid. Ill be getting a module for borh our 24's
Your welcome! Glad is was useful. Cheers, Mike
Why can't you use BRP Go without the umbilical cord? Cut the cord BRP this is Polaris 2021!!
Polaris doesn't have live trail updates nor does it have turn by turn.

Not too sure unfortunately.
when you order this gauge do you automatically get the plug in for your phone in the glovebox? or is that an extra accessory after the fact?
The plug in comes with the gauge yes. But it doesn't come with a cord so u would just use a USB cord you use to charge your phone. Cheers, Jesse
@@sledaddicz nice. Thanks
Did he mention when the heated grip update will come out ? Man its a pain in the ass . Same with swiping that screen back to normal

Can you get turn by turn directions if you save the area, without phone plugged in?
Unfortunately no. You still need to plug your phone in for turn by turn.
Crap. You should have turned the screws a bit when he shared that. Don't be affraid to be honest - your viewers will apprieciate that more.

Too bad they still want Vibe and Sena to NOT talk with Cardo. We will be buying Cardo.

Need to drop the Brp go app altogether, that or find someone that knows how to write a program.
