What’s ski doo thinking with the colors. The blue looks like some kid spray painted it in his garage, the free ride is like a huge lemon! Brp over the last few years they have missed the mark when they picking colors. Add an instant thousand dollars for a wrap to hide that junk!
No wrong choice with either sled, Think of the Expert pkg as a smash and grab riding style and the X as an artist on a fresh canvas... or something like that...lol
I really like your explanations. I have been riding an old 07 summit x 159 in colorado. I'm finally planning on jumping up to a new sled so I can keep up with my buddies so I don't have to work so hard. I'm leaning towards the expert because I'm concerned with overriding the x. When I hop on a new sled I find myself washing out a lot because I'm over riding. From your explanation I'm asking if I'm on the right track?
I got a 24 Summit X largely based on yours and Norona’s recommendation. Loving it so far, but I do find myself over riding it. I’m going to try a T motion X in it for next season.
Why does skidoo keep the small drivers and wheels? And why have we not gone to a 168 track or shorter so we don't have the vibration from the lugs not being balanced where they join. I'd take a 168 with 7 tooth drivers, and 9 or 10 inch wheels would be perfect for our height and weight yet no one can build a rear wheel as strong/flexable as stock.
@@CarlKusterMountainPark I hope to meet you one day. Really appreciate your voice and the time you put in to this awesome sport! 2025 has updated drivers with the Turbo R. I went back from a 165 to a 154 this year because new drivers were advertised. I had a 2023 154 and the drivers would skip. Dealer always looked at me like I was crazy when I would explain what was happening. They eventually ended up tightening the track silly tight. A bandaid that helped a little but never fixed the issue. Horrible feeling that just got worse with time. Almost had no issues on my 2024 165 but the track was also banjo tight. Really hoping the new drivers for 2025 are the fix so the track can be ran as it should be, at touch loose.
The last few years I’ve been second guessing Ski Doo colour choices on the Summit, they hit the mark this year that blue, that’s a slick looking sled.
They will be in style one way of another!
Kuster keepin me sane

And then we have the Lynx😮👍
Yep I just switched from a 22 Expert turbo to a 2024 DS Shredder. Nothing eats up the bumps like a Lynx.
Heck ya !
Heck ya brother
Really struggling to decide between the expert and x. Gotta try to keep up Mercier from time to time.😎

Great to hear!
Ski doo needs to redefine their model naming.
What names appeal to you? Got a few examples?

Wow, only $22,000 ? What a smoking deal.
I love my 19 free ride. My next one would probably be the 24 free ride. 😅
24' had great color options!
That new design is absolutely ridiculous. Bring back the windscreens and get rid of that horrible design
