I got a 24 Summit X largely based on yours and Norona’s recommendation. Loving it so far, but I do find myself over riding it. I’m going to try a T motion X in it for next season.
No wrong choice with either sled, Think of the Expert pkg as a smash and grab riding style and the X as an artist on a fresh canvas... or something like that...lol
I really like your explanations. I have been riding an old 07 summit x 159 in colorado. I'm finally planning on jumping up to a new sled so I can keep up with my buddies so I don't have to work so hard. I'm leaning towards the expert because I'm concerned with overriding the x. When I hop on a new sled I find myself washing out a lot because I'm over riding. From your explanation I'm asking if I'm on the right track?
MAAAAAAN, I cannot decide between the freeride and the x...I do a lot of trail riding getting to and from powder. However we do go up into the mountains quite a bit for mountain powder riding and it an be deep. I just do such a wide variety of riding. Its why I'm leaning more towards the freeride, but can't decide! Going to snow check on here in the next 10 days of so. Need to make up my mind.
I ended buying a holdover Lynx save $5k there aren’t enough changes & dealers are desperate to get them gone. The Shredder does it all. They are definitely the best sled in the bumps
Heck ya !
Kuster keepin me sane
And then we have the Lynx😮👍
Yep I just switched from a 22 Expert turbo to a 2024 DS Shredder. Nothing eats up the bumps like a Lynx.
Heck ya brother
Ski doo needs to redefine their model naming.
What names appeal to you? Got a few examples?

Great to hear!
Really struggling to decide between the expert and x. Gotta try to keep up Mercier from time to time.😎

I love my 19 free ride. My next one would probably be the 24 free ride. 😅
24' had great color options!

Well, there's no wrong choice here. You can always add more shock capacity to the X... The 16" does work very well in the deeper snow..
