An attempt at a coherent song 2: Honkai: Star Rail - Before The Next Song Begins web event

- I had a lot more fun than I expected messing around with the music, so I tried my best to come up with a somewhat coherent song, despite all the limitations of the event.
This is the first song: Sway to My Beat in the Cosmos

Thank you to everyone for your kind words and comments. To be honest I wasn't really expecting my 2 videos to go anywhere, they were mostly just for me so I could save what I came up with in the event since I spent a lot of time on it and had a lot of fun with it. I was expecting at most for the videos to get at most maybe 1k views between the 2 videos. I did not expect to get anywhere near this amount of attention.
Originally I wanted to at least try to respond to every comment that I got since I wasn't expecting there to be that many, but with there being way more than I anticipated and with me being busy with Uni work I wasn't able to do that. I've been reading through the comments though but sorry if I never ended up responding.
I've this mentioned in other replies but I don't actually have any proper experience with making or performing music, hence the title being "An attempt at a coherent song". I don't have a lot of confidence but if you guys would like to see me try my hand at making music of some kind then let me know and maybe I can give it a go.
Anyways thank you to everyone for sharing your thoughts on the video/music, I'm happy to see that at least some small part of TH-cam was able to enjoy what I managed to come up with. Lets all continue to enjoy Honkai: Star Rail Together!
Also Hoyoverse please add some kind of permanent music event it doesn't have to be the same as this but anything would be cool.

Ive spent the past few days making a playable version of the event, Ive been going from video to video looking for instruments to extract, from this video i have gotten the whistle clock, the other clock thats going crazy, and the guy with the violin, sorry if they have names, i am not into honkai star rail at all, but i am into incredibox which this event is suspiciously similar to, great mix btw

This is a web event for Hoyoverse. For an indie developer, this would have been their flash game.
The effort the devs take is craaazy.

Damn, i didn't even notice additional tools like mute+switch Just dragged them off stage and had to rerecord multiple times to make it sound decent =(
The muting was convenient but to switch you had to delete the person on stage and replace him to make it work. Half the trouble for me while recording this was remembering which icon was the right instrument to switch in, and I had to reset every time I failed it.

Yeah I was going to just do it for the Stellar Jade rewards but I ended up having a lot of fun messing around with the instruments and making a longer song
Yeah when I first saw it announced, I thought we'd have to actually sing. So I missed the first couple of days cuz that was a hard pass for me. But then it ended up being so much fun! Both sets you get to play with, are so good!

I don’t think I’m anywhere near that good, there are way more people with more talent and more experience making music. This was mostly me just going on a whim and making and recording the tracks.

its so funny how we had similar ideas with how to use these instruments! The slowly adding one by one every 8 'counts' and letting some of em solo!
This was so nostalgic! I remember playing a similar event in club penguin, so I had so much fun trying to find interesting combos like in the past.

I wish this event would have become permanent. I'd spent so much time in it, it was pure joy and endless possibilities of creating music without being a musician. I can't believe how good it was. God, why couldn't they have made it permanent!

that's such a lovely tune! I get so inspired by these types of videos, it's just so wholesome to see everyone coming up with their own unique ideas and melodies despite all of us using the same samples/instruments, it really displays the vastness of a human mind, as well as the greatness and importance of human art that is able to connect and unite people all over the world! and the best part is, you don't even need to have any music background, the only things you need are your emotions and feelings you want to share!

This event is so fun, like I'm not even a music guy, I don't play any instrument at all but i spend way too much time playing this last night than i would've thought
I watched this after completing the penacony story. To me this has come to encapsulate all my feelings and experiences with this masterpiece of a world and story. Truly felt like the official ending song, while listening I can’t help but think of everything I experienced and felt through my playthrou. Thank you for making this, you’re awesome.

Wow my song was very similar to this one! I had the same whistling clockie and "tape warp guy" solos! But I wasn't competent enough to able to switch around other instruments fast enough to build up a good layered background sound. I hope to learn and improve at stuff like this, awesome music making skills! ☺

there are two song options, this one is “Sway to the Beat of Cosmos” while you probably did “If I Can Stop One Heart From Breaking” instead
