the fab joke by Crow with the owl asking "Que? Que?" in a Mexican film goes sadly unnoticed by most others, but tons of us have loved your high-brow stuff for decades, Trace. 🧐
I didn't think it was possible, but this episode of Mystery Science Theater has made me experience such strong emotions... From the absurdity of Samson just popping in apropos of nothing halfway through the film, to the touching sadness conveyed by Trace's angelic singing voice. Surely, a full version of "Who Will I Kill?" would have topped the charts.

My favourite ever MST3K episode. There's just something about a fat Mexican wrestler in a mask driving around in a sports car and throwing down on vampires that really appeals to me.
I'm afraid the clam bit was indeed taken from The 3 Stooges. Curly's routine predates Abbott and Costello's bit from 1947. This should be obvious as Curly unwillingly went into retirement in 1946 due to his declining health conditions, and thus could have only performed the bit on film years before 1946 when neither his health or on-camera performance had begun to suffer. It should also be obvious the routine is taken from The 3 Stooges as Mike can be heard doing a light Curly impression when his nose gets stuck in the clam, not unlike the noise Curly makes anytime Moe would grab his nose with pliers or something similar. 5:16 It's a good routine, but it's not Abbott and Costello's.
