This is Stock Footage The Movie. It feels like they shot only half an hour of footage - some of which is pure animal cruelty - and padded it all together with random science ed. clips.
I appreciate this film's nuanced take on hyper-realistic hard sci-fi. So many modern movies just hand-wave away details that this film takes so seriously. I especially enjoyed the depiction of alien crocodiles without Hollywood's usual cheese. Also the depiction of strong, independent females in this movie is a real indictment of modern movies 🤣🤣🤣🤣

There was a long period where doctors thought human babies couldn't feel pain and performed surgery without anesthetic. Film people thinking reptiles didn't feel pain is understandable in that context.

but honestly seeing that iguana bleeding and spasm in pain was pretty gross.
There was a long period where doctors thought human babies couldn't feel pain and performed surgery without anesthetic. Film people thinking reptiles didn't feel pain is understandable in that context.
