    My new Powercolor 5600xt Red Devil (14Gbps) costed me 292€. It's a beast. Definitely super quiet and temps are more than fine: 43-45 idle (30% fan) and 60-65 gaming ( fan 45%). I flashed the bios so my clocks now are: core 1770mhz, memory 1860mhz, boost 1820mhz. BENCHMARKS @1080p ultra settings: AC odissey (60 fps avg), Modern warfare (125 fps avg). Never had black screens or any kind of problems (amd 3600+b450+16gb ram 3200mhz). I don't know about the other brands he tested, but his Powercolor Red Devil's results are not reliable, completely different by my perfect experience with that card.

    Got it for a bargain £290 here in the UK with free postage and recieved 2 free games too!
    The 5600 XT replaced my aging GTX 970 and I'm happy.
    I wanted a good cheapish upgrade that was better than my GTX 970 but not to expensive as I'd still like to consider one of the newer cards from AMD or Nvidia once they are announced and I've seen some tested 👍

    Went with the Gigabyte Gaming OC for a friends computer I just built. It’s a nice card, very cool and quiet. I didn’t feel comfortable flashing the 14Gbps bios on it though as there are so many reports of it not being stable afterwards. Some of these cards just can’t handle the higher clock speeds and there’s a reason they’re still shipping with the 12Gbps bios months after launch. Would have tried it if it were mine but I didn’t have much time for stability testing and the last thing I need is to send a friend home with a potentially unstable system.

    Just for information since most of you would never know this. In Hungary you can get the Sapphire 5600 XT for 320-330$ ; every other model STARTS from 350 but as you can imagine they cost more than that at a reliable retailer...

    Would have been nice to see the Sapphire Nitro+ version. The nitro+ is usually the best version of an AMD card

  • @lukew2194
    @lukew2194 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    The Sapphire card picked as a winner is currently over $300 and the warranty is only 2 years, not the typical 3 years you get with MSI and some other brands. If you live in the US take a look at MSI gaming MX on newegg for around $230.

    Been using Sapphire for many years for any AMD cards I've ever had. I went with a Gaming X this time around mainly availability and I am really happy with it. It's my first MSI graphics card, and I've only ever owned a few MSI products in the past as well. So far so good though, it is a huge card (Mine is a 5700XT Gaming X)

    Very many thanks! I was about to buy a Sapphire Pulse (439CAD) but just bought a Gigabyte Gaming OC (409CAD minus 20CAD MIR (hate them, but 20 bucks is 20 bucks)). You saved me $50CAD (plus 13% tax of course). Thank you! Now I overclock my i7-7700k and wait a year to see what's what in the CPU/MB department. I was going to get a B450/Ryzen 5 but that's off the table now. Congrats on the 500k subscribers... well earned!

    • @dandaly7305
      @dandaly7305 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gigabyte Gaming OC came with 12 Gbps memory setting; flashed it to 14 Gbps and it's downstairs, folding at home as a stress test. Great temps so far, very happy!

    • @dandaly7305
      @dandaly7305 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had folding failures until I increased power level 10% through Radeon software. Now stable as a rock, and the power increase didn't increase temperature or noise. Based on 3 weeks using it, I'd recommend the Gigabyte Gaming OC if you're comfortable increasing power level. If not, go for the Pulse.

    • @dandaly7305
      @dandaly7305 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the interests of full disclosure, I have now had a couple of problems while Folding @ Home, on high settings, I would occasionally have a failure, and twice I got bad artifacting; this with the 10% power level increase. I updated from vbios FA0 to FA1, and have run for several days on high with no failures to fold, and no artifacting. I suggest upgrading the vbios. I used AMD's tool, since I had problems with directly flashing. I also stay current on Radeon drivers.

    I looked at comments on the place where i bought my Sapphire Pulse RX 5600 XT and all of them said it works like it's water cooled and it was the cheapest 5600 XT so i bought it and man does it run cool, it doesn't even use it's fans below 60 degrees celsius and it rarely gets to 60. Used it with a 1080p 144 Hz monitor in LoL, Dota 2(vulkan), WoW(DX12), Witcher 3 etc. high graphics, made it work at max clock speed and it still rarely got to 60 degrees and when it did it just opened it's fans for a few seconds and it was back down to 50-55 all the time.

    Been very allergic to the Sapphire hype for a long time but in this case it's well-deserved. Powercolor's either skimping on cooling compared to proper-PROPER (as in, teardown included) review units, or uses cooling which doesn't make miles of a difference between different chips (reminder, their 5700s and 5700XTs were up there with Sapphire, and the Red Devil was sometimes better).
    Or, this is all measurement error and they're all in the same ballpark xD (That'd make sense for a lower-power chip.)

    Just got the Asus strix oc Version a few days aggo at 280€ in stead of around 340€ . I can't hear it over my bequit silent wings 3 high speed fans at 1100rpm and the temperature is around 48-57 in world of Warcraft and never gets over 60 in other games. The new bios works great. Just a wonderful card all around and at the price it was a no brainier.

    Thanks for the in depth reviews. I was able to pick up an ASUS ROG Strix for just $255 on Amazon Warehouse. I can always return it for a full refund if I am not happy with it. My experience so far with items from the warehouse has been excellent. Most are just straight returns still in their shrink-wrap and some are open box.

    I bought the XFX Thicc III Version because it had the lowest price in my country and i looked up many reviews before and after i bought it (cause a friend of mine told me XFX is crap). It's not delievered yet but i came across very mixed reviews from some saying it's one of the worst or rather the worst and some saying it's one of the best RX 5600 xt models.
    Thanks for an overall comperison with all RX 5600 xt cards.

    From what I see, the Pulse is clearly the choice when you're not sure, if you can fit the three fan monstrosities into your case (I know for a fact they wouldn't fit into my MATX case)

    Just a heads up on the Sapphire PULSE RX 5600 XT.
    There are two variants out there one uses the PULSE RX 5700 cooler and the other has the PULSE RX 5700 XT one.
    If you are lucky you can get even better value for money.
    Part number to look out for if you want the bigger cooler variant: 299-5E411-202SA
