Turn vsync on. max fps 90. no more invisible cars.

To all : If you are gonna play this game with the mod - Limit FPS to 60, otherwise it fucks with the game physics and you get weird NPC behaviour.
If you got an nvidia gpu you can change the max frame rate to 60 using the nvidia control panel

Yeah sometimes you crash into invisible cars with higher fps
Same problem with the OG game without mod
To take it a step further I nvidia fps locked the game to 80 or 90fps as that’s when the traffic bugs out after that. But then you select ingame I think 100fps option. Smoother than 60 and no traffic bugs

2:09 The Fiat Coupe is one of the most broken starter cars in TDU Platinum. When you find the italian upgrade shop on the map, there's an upgrade option for it that massively boosts your specs.
Was it in TDU 2 where getting plastic surgery actually had you wearing bandages for a bit?

The problem with the courier missions in the original game was that in odd places the terrain clipped through the road and that's why you randomly took damage for normal driving. That was really painful in certain deliveries, remembering where those buggy areas were and how to avoid them.
Platinum is a very fun mod but what I don't like is how they changed the layouts of some original races, like the (group B?) race around the island with 200k reward.
Yep. Seemingly group B races got slightly smaller payout.

He did, but without enabling the hardcore single player challanges in the launcher, all you can do is free roam.
I wish more mods for Test Drive Unlimited 2 though. TDU2 has better graphic than TDU1 and so much potentials for it.

I seem to recall that a lot of the same devs worked on Driver: San Fransisco and the The Crew 1 & 2. I'm guessing a possible reason for the gap is that the TDU brand was (is?) owned by Atari, and well, you know... Atari.

I don't know if somebody mantioned about top speed of cars in this mode - BTW it's noted on mod page. That's because how TDU was codded. Sadly, to get the gear ratios to work as they should, you must set the car's Top Speed as the top gear speed. Which means, the maximum speed that the final gear could achieve, regardless of it's power or drag. Usually, vehicles that have an "Overdrive gear" will display absurd values, since the last gear is really long, with the porpouse of fuel saving.
Oh interesting. I guess that explains why some vehicles had absurdly short gearing then like the Viper and Corvette lol

anyone who plays this just take the impala. it is fast stock and will continue to be soo fast even then it is low tier. it can do 300kmh in F group.
I played the psp version and so far I think the car physics on there are a bit more realistic.

If You delete the file Police1.bnk in the games folder it will erase all trafic besides other drivers that you can race with. Be awere, the game will crash sometimes when launch until it works correctly.
I'm buying a pc just to play this again I have my save file stored from all those years ago. Including s save file for the modded version
TDU1 has always had problems with HDR. If you enable it, brightness would go up and down on its own and the dark areas (where an object is throwing a shadow) would be pitch black, making the car look like it's moving in the outer space.
So, did that mod fix this problem or is it still there?
I always play the Platinum Mod without HDR. Even in the vanilla game the HDR is sht af.
Immunity is not added with mod. Actually, if the game detects you're braking when in colision, if you're slow enough, and it's the traffic that crashes into you, It won't count the damage.

Invisible cars appear when Vsync turned off, the game does not like high FPS for some reason..

Is the mod more stable than is was around 1.12??? Played around the last time Kuru did. Had too many issues with invisible traffic and some cars not loading and crashing the game

Invisible cars are not a mod issue, it's a problem which occurs if you don't cap your graphic card at 60 fps.
Im guessing not but does anyone know if this mod works only with the PC version or does it also work with the emulated PS2 version too?
Nope, this mod is PC exclusive. PS2 version was different anyway - different developer made the game.
Btw, I can't see where else to write this, so I'm gonna do it here.
I was told you were a "god" in all NFS series. I'll admit you're one, if you manage to reach at least 438 kph in any city area of NFS U2 without any trainers or speedhacks. Ofc you'll need a maxed out car for that. Do you accept the challenge? :)

Turn on the sound. If you want a radio station with your own music then go to documents on your computer and find your TDU profile. Put the music there. Don't touch any music in game files

Can somebody clarify something for me? I've seen in a number of racing games that allow you to upgrade your car like im this game, one of the upgrades is weight reduction.
My question is what exactly is the weight being reduced from the car? Like i understand sometimes they will remove the seats and even the radio or whatever, but I'm speaking more of the miscellaneous weight that you can't see
Chrisfix has a video where he reduces the weight of his irl track car . Check it out if you're interested about the details
They can replace body panels with lighter replacements (usually carbon fiber). With actual carbon fiber cars, there is a lot less they can do besides gutting the interior and getting rid of stuff like A/C and other things not needed for a racecar.

Motorfest is amazing improvement in tons of ways. I have played it only for few hours because of very agressive watermark that hurts my eyes but already found a lot of major changes people was naggign about (there is basically nothing to see throug the watermark. All your screen is full of sliding text of different shades on 15 lines of text. You basically are not even able to see the track) and i really don't understand why is there so many lines of text because you can literally use google to find everything because all important already leaked about this game - screens, car list, videos etc. But on discord they pretend like "it will really hurt sales" if they let you see what game you are actually testing... and how harmful it would be if leaked something that was leaked already... so i deleted the game the very same day.

The devs that work on Solar Crown... after playing their latest WRC game I am quite worried... the handling is weird, FFB for steering wheels is jank and quite a bit of other issues with the game itself... performance and graphics are okay but career is chaotic and bad...
So how do we play this?

Original game was alright but it featured some of the worst traffic ai for it's era. Like it makes you wonder if any of the developers atleast tried inspecting how traffic in the real life works.
Also the pursuits should have been removed, a truly pointless feature.
The pursuits don't work properly in online mode when you are connected to one of the project paradise servers the cops won't pursue you as such but the pursuit bar comes up and if you get 3 strikes you have to pay a fine so it does something but not a pursuit. and yh the traffic AI will literally just randomly pull out on you although tbf that's not too far off real life nowadays 😂

At least they put a lot of the resources into the cars so I'm fine with ugly characters (not like others games at the time had it better)
