She was a smart, caring, wonderful woman! I was always told since childhood, I was part Lakota. I had a few friends that were also part Lakota that I spoke with online quite often. One, was a woman named Spirit Eagle. She became and still is a good friend. Then, I did that Ancestry DNA thing, and was crushed to learn I was only 1% Native American! (It didn't even specify what tribe) I told Spirit Eagle how sad I was to find out this news. A few days later, we talked and she told me she had gone to an Elder she knew, and told him of my broken heart. If there ever was a song that best describes music, Dances With Wolves, it is this song; to include the melody, harmony, key, metre and rhythm. Each element is speaking loudly, then softly, fast then slow, to the others in a way that draws one into its arms, causing one's emotions to a blissful state. The pitches of highs and lows in this music are organised in such a way that is perfect for the ears, the heart and soul of the listeners. A beautiful and wonderful piece of music, that complements each element in its arrangement. Though cannot see John Barry in the movie, he is there through his arrangements every second of this wonderful movie and through all his arrangements within as well.
What can I say, one of the most beautiful soundtracks ever. I would query the fact that John Williams had more as Barry was going way back into the 1970s with The Knack, Juke Box Jury etc on the telly! I find that most of William's works all sound so similar where as John Barry's all sound individual. Compare this, for instance, with from Russia With Love.
So beautiful. This is a first class band. And I heard that the musicians are only amateurs, from eclectic mix of working individuals from different companies. They're awesome!

It´s so sad to get older and see all the people who made your childhood something special pass aways..Im so glad there are recordings by now! :p
I had hoped that this picture would help us all to understand the plight of the First Peoples, but it seems that things have returned to the same cold, unfeeling and uncaring feelings as they have been for generations.
This is a beautiful version of the music from Dances With Wolves.
John Barry - Thank you for the beautiful music, RIP
+Dominic Martinez He was the greatest
I hope Kevin finds this!
Music transcends time, space, culture, language an vain imaginings. It's simply breathtaking!
2021 and HERE WE ARE .
What a wonderful Interpretation of John Barry's great piece of Music: excellent!!!
Never saw a Tympanist have so much fun! Simply fabulous..The other guys are great too but she made it for me..
This is an outstanding orchestra. I like the tympanist's unity of sound in her sticking. I would like to hear more resonance from the bass drum
A long time ago I used to play violin with my neighbors the Giangs ... Seeing these folks play reminds me of those times
It's one thing to hear music like this and quite another to watch it being produced. I would love to see it in person. It's just wonderful.
Very nice! I'm 38...I still remember playing this song in High School 1994. The movie itself is ONE OF A KIND!!
Please take me back to time
The percussion department 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Excellent job! I know this music is hard. Trumpet work is just killer. The whole movie was hard to produce. Buffalo running almost 20 miles after the money shots. Was worth it.
One of the best musical scores in movie history 👍
Mr Barry was a genius .........hardly anyone can replace him........
Forget the fact it's a Taiwanese orchestra.
They are classically trained musicians with a skilled conductor, producing such a wonderful version of such a moving theme. written by the late great John Barry...
THIS, "Robin and Marian", all the great James Bond themes... especially "On Her Majestys Secret Service" and his television work. A veritible deep well of emotion and creativity that would never run dry if he had six lifetimes to mine it.
...don't forget "Somewhere In Time" and "Out Of Africa" too ❤
Bravo à cet orchestre et à son chef . Une version singulière et c'est réussi !
I played Dances With Wolves music composition by the great, great late John Barry every day straight for 2 years. This still moves me to tears in 2018. This was a magnificent performance and I so enjoyed seeing and hearing it. Thank you.
So beautiful, brings out a lot of emotions.
Beautifully done by the Taiwan Soloists Symphony Orchestra
And then there was PEACEFUL BLISS!
This is a great tribute to John Barry. I have listened this score so infinite times and continue.
the percussionists are fucking amazing
What can I say, one of the most beautiful soundtracks ever. I would query the fact that John Williams had more as Barry was going way back into the 1970s with The Knack, Juke Box Jury etc on the telly! I find that most of William's works all sound so similar where as John Barry's all sound individual. Compare this, for instance, with from Russia With Love.
No need to compare. Good art is good art - and it IS in the eye of the beholder!
So beautiful. This is a first class band. And I heard that the musicians are only amateurs, from eclectic mix of working individuals from different companies. They're awesome!
Ein Meisterwerk, welches mir immer wieder eine Gänsehaut beschehrt. Sowohl der Film als auch die Musik sind unvergleichlich schön . . .
This is just so well pieced together, I keep coming back time and time again! Great conductor, great symphony, and a great movie!
