I found Islam when I was going through some hard times in my life and his lectures and made me(through patience , forgiveness, and love for our maker) over come that dark time in my life.
44:16 to 45:05 is a *gem* that every Muslim should hear. "Everything around you is becoming more intelligent at satisfying you and your delusion. And you have to do that much more work to overcome that, and to make yourself hear what's gonna actually better you in sha Allah".
1. Have a good character. [ The religion in its is entirety is a good character, so whoever surpasses you in good character has surpassed you in Religion ] 2. Perform your Fardz , and pay attention to Halaal and Haram. 3. Don't be contained/sustained with the extra good deeds that you do, focus on the deeds or fardz that you "MUST" be doing but are showing a blind eye and deaf ear to. 4. Get Inspired from the people who are best than you, get inspired from their good qualities and strive to bring them in your life rather than looking at the worst people and being like " oh, I atleast don't do that sin ". Focus on the part where you lack and you must be doing. 5. Decrease your fatal flaws / sins / bad deeds and not be sustained or rely on the good deeds that you do.[ Not doing something that Allah tells you not to do is harder than doing something that Allah ( SWT ) tells you to do or tells you is good for you to do. ]
When brother Omar said May we all meet all the prophets in Jannah I got the chills and my eyes flooded. SubhanAllah right to my heart, Ameen make Allah make it so, Ameen
SubhanAllah, therefore one of the special aspect to Intelligence mentioned in Qur’an is furqan: criterion, the ability to separate good ans bad according to Allah guidances because we live in a time that so confuse, even the word 'God' is labeled as a delusion by human. SubhanAllah it is actually easier to separate good and black when it is clear like night and days, the challenge is to seperate good and bad when it's mix as half truth and half lie. We, ask Allah to guide us to the straight path, and help us see truth as truth and falsehood as falsehood make it clear to us like night and day, let not this Ummah fall into the deception delusion of those who declare war against Allah and Allah religion, Islam
Even tho I know almost all the points mentioned from prev lectures and others, this still hurt every bit of me cuz I know all my “fatal flaws”, I’ve been trying for so long I literally don’t have anything left to do except dua, and asking ppl to pray for me, please my brother or sister who’s reading this, pray that Allah give me good character and patience, and make me good to my parents, family and myself. I trust that Allah will answer eventually, and that I can and will change, I just really really need your dua’s rn. Jazakum Allah khairan.
Aameen. May Allah give you all that and more. And multiply your reward for you efforts. May Allah make it easy for you, me and everyone who is trying to better themselves for the sake of Allah.
May Allah accept your intentions to purify your heart and beautify your character .and May Allah make you the best version of yourself in a way that is pleasing to Allah until your good character weighs Heavily in your favour on the day of Judgement.Ameen

It’s just amazing how your lectures are impactful to all of us living in different parts of the world, brother. May Allah protect and bless you more. A sister in Islam from Ethiopia
Ameen Ya Rabbul Alameen Alhamdulilah I watched this entire Khutba and when I paused midway to worship Allah at magrib I felt different - it came at the best time when I needed Allahs forgiveness and help with rectification Alhamdulilah for all His Mercy on me
MashaAllah!! It felt really good listening to this speech to how we become good Muslim in this world .. by changing quality of ourselves to be righteous in this world
Everything he talked about spoke volumes and it is really what is happening nowadays. 😢 May Allah bless you more and continue with this type of lecture Dr Suleiman!
Masha Allah. This speech is inspiring and insightful. It was shared to me by my beloved sister. May Allah blesses her and blesses all other muslims. To the future generation. Dont let this message die. As salaamu alaikum.
It is amazing to hear a khutbah with the same consistent content of quran and hadist, although conveyed by different imams in two diffeent parts ofthe world, in Indonesia and US. Goes to say the quran and hadist are true, and people who follow it have a same great akhlak. May Allah swt let me partof this group of people who receive hidayah and taat towards Allah swt.
May Allah reward you!!! May he increase you, may he make you better than what we think of you and may he make us better than what others think of us. This video was everything you said it would be and so much more. Jazakhallahu Khairan
This is one of the most intense, easily mind captivating lectures. May Allah bless you. Lesson learnt about not assuming the role of Allah (God forbid) in judging and deciding whether what we're doing is good enough or not. That'a up to Allah to calculate, which means we should assume a scarcity mindset when it comes to evaluating whether we have done enough for the sake of Allah in any area. Also in this lecture we were given mental promps for self-reflective work which fall under the category of "how" to become a better person from ((the inside out)) rather than the "shoulds" style of lecturing, and I deeply appreciate this type education. Please gift us with more of this type of inner work for the sake of Allah so we could straighten ourselves for the long term. Nothing is once and for all for sure, but this kind of work allows for a deeper kind of change to take place within a person which is more likely to be permanent, more or less, inshaaAllah. May Allah bless you and the entire Yaqeen istitute team.
1. Abu Hurayra reported the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Race to good actions as fast as you can. What are you waiting for except delayed poverty, oppressive wealth, debilitating illness, dottering senility, a swift death or the Dajjal? Or are you waiting for an unseen evil, or the Last Hour? The Last Hour will be most bitter and terrible.” [at-Tirmidhi]
5:54 this and the point about our friend who knows us for 5 months would give us advice but we know ourselves, our capabilities, our intelligence, and our inhibitions. 6:30 this part. When we go to uni we try to be better. We gotta that for our akhirah too.
😂 Thank you for being that person who tells the truth and helps me get closer to Allah, swt, and correct my many flaws. This talk wasn't offensive, it is a wake up call to stop having a personal pity party😂. Woe is not me, but it can be if I am not ready for Judgment day😢. Thank you!😊
