Painted Screen Prints: monotype printmaking day

There are so many ways to make a screen print, and the monotype painterly method is one of my favorites. It really is more like painting, except that the image (whether painted with screen printing ink like I do at the beginning) or with water soluble materials like pastel and watercolor (like the image at the end) is transferred through the screen onto paper using clear ink. Thus...a print!

Are you adding anything to your inks to prevent them from drying out at all?

Hi there! No I am not adding anything. I just use regular water based Speedball or Green Galaxy screen printing ink and it stays wet for about a half an hour.
