I've been having a spawn glitch where every raid, one of my group won't load in and will have to alt+f4 to reconnect. Meanwhile their body is twitching and spinning like a ghost in raid. Been happening for weeks and I haven't seen a single mention of it happening to anyone else
When I play PVE with my friend, at least once one per each session of us has to ALT+F4 and reconnect. But can happen multiple times, the worst was 3 consecutive times.
This happens sometimes on pvp. What happens mostly is we loading at different times. Ex me and 2 others load on at game start and the last guy loads in like 1 min later

Lightkeeper not allowing me to buy sig spears or hybrid ammo, empty servers after the mm update, transits spawning people on top of others, audio occlusions, lightkeeper not allowing people to advance the beginning quest line, lightkeeper not giving out completed quests unless you survive the first raid and go directly to him after waiting 10 hours. That's all issues that should have been addressed at some point this wipe. Not made worse.
Having fun on Modded SPT, or PvE with my boys. PvP is fun for a week or two but then you get killed by people with lv 4 traders while I'm still getting my Shoreline quests done
I am a sweat who has a lot of time to play and even for me PvE with the boys is so much more fun than PvP. PvP is fun for maybe a month tops, then you have more than enough money to run meta gear every single raid without worry and all that is left is Kappa/LK quests which aren't a big movivator when you've already done them before. Doing chill raids with friends on PvE and helping each other out is so much more enjoyable. I'm only lvl 44 and I know it will also get boring eventually, but atleast there is no hurry to progress because there is no competition or wipe coming. I'm not sure if I'm gonna even play next PvP wipe. When the official Hardcore mode thingy comes I'll probably play that.

For streamers yes, for most players getting at least some rare shit helps them keep playing. Then again most tarkovv players are no lifers who whined when armour didnt make them invincible anymore@Der_Thrombozyt

My biggest problem this wipe was the lack in motivation to actually do quests and get to a higher level. Because all the items you normally unlock from quest or higher traders could already be bought from the flea at a very low price so what is even the point in grinding for those quests. I liked it when I could find a gun part and know it would be valuable on the flea.
I tried PvE after I found the .15 wipe just the worst the game has been since I started in 2017- however after I started looking into SPT I haven't looked back at PvE, it's just insanely superior lmao @@CharveL88
So far, my biggest issue this wipe was the quest/trader rep reset after arena which basically killed my interest in arena. The other big issue for me personally was the fog really handicapping me trying to do shooter born.
I have over 4k hours in this game, been playing it on and off since before Reserve, inertia, hell Interchange wasn't a thing when I started. I also have more than 25 years playing shooters under my belt, so hopefully the "get good" crowd is satisfied that I've long since done that. None of what I'm about to say has anything to do with my personal performance in PvP, when I played it I stomped most people, only losing to the really serious chads or cheaters. Wipe will not fix Tarkov, an engine upgrade will not fix Tarkov. Aside from the bugs and the cheaters Tarkov is from a design point, in conflict with it's self. The PvP will never reach it's full potential because every other system in the game, the whole survival and even aspects of looting, keeps it from being a full PvP shooter. At the same time the survival aspect will never reach it's full potential because it would sacrifice the PvP aspects too much, and BSG knows that would alienate a bunch of players. BSG really did this to themselves when the twitch boom happened and they catered to streamers, and the huge influx of PvP focused players that saw those streamers gameplay, and expected the game to just be that. It already had a lot of PvP don't get me wrong, but that gave them a reason to focus on it a lot more and let the survival part fall to the wayside. When you look at Tarkov's early days, and the trailers that came out then. It was supposed to be a PvE survival game with rare PvP encounters, there were many hints at the idea of players needing to team up to survive instead of just killing on sight. I remember Nikita even saying at one point that PMC encounters were supposed to be rare. But the elements that should have encouraged that never materialized, you really need to incentivize players to work together, and at best we've only ever seen half-baked systems like co-op extracts. At this point it would alienate a huge part of the player base to push Co-op because many of them came in during or after the big PvP push. Lastly, there's another reason the PvP is mediocre at best, net code. When I was into it more hardcore I noticed a lot of my fights seemed one sided, if I swung a corner the other guy didn't even seem to react. It makes it less enjoyable, less about my skill vs theirs. The reality is they don't react, because most of the time they're dead before I'm even on their screen. This is a thing in other games to varying degrees, been playing shooters long enough to know that, and to notice when it's happening. I don't get off on beating players that stood no chance because of things outside their control, any more than I enjoy losing to it, so it really doesn't make me happy to win those fights. With Tarkov it's really pronounced, even on the nearest servers with a very stable connection (on my end). Just watch gameplay back, or any streamers for any amount of time and you'll see it if you're looking for it. Arena made a lot of this way more apparent, especially at launch, just how bad the PvP actually was/is. I had hoped with the release of it the main game would focus more on the original intentions, but they fumbled the launch to an extreme, and a lot of the Tarkov community rejected it as the PvP part of the game. BSG just doesn't seem to know what they want Tarkov to actually be in the end. They're trying to force pieces together that will never mesh nicely. In the end I don't know if we'll ever see Tarkov be everything it could have been.

before talking about the lightkeeper, I think you should mention the fact that the bug regarding quests being reset if you play arena is back. I started the wipe and had multiple quests reset and literally could not progress. I quit the wipe cause i was frustrated that i could not progress. Now i came back and seems like the bug is back (i saw that they fixed it at some point) i just completed shooter born, car repair, couple of gunsmiths and farm part 3 and 4. Sent be behind DAYS again. At this point this is stupidity.

Because game balancing is a thing. If recoil was realistic everything would be a laser for the most part, depending on the caliber, because you're a trained PMC who would have range time with that weapon lmao

For the flea market change: wouldn't it make sense that; if you're going to be able to put both found in raid and non found in raid items on flea, then the non found in raid items should have an additional tax on them, so that it incentivizes surviving as a pmc and stops people from getting extremely rich from just sitting in stash?
most my bosses kills end up with the boss frozen into place dumping a bottomless magazine with ghost ammo deafenning me no matter how far away from them I get the volume stays the same until I extract. Of course no body to loot either
One thing to note about the Arena Trader rep bug, it seems once it happens to your account every time you reopen Arena it will roll your rep back again. Has happened to me 3 times over the last 3 weeks. Very much hoping it is patched for next wipe.
Finally completed the light keeper questline almost 2 months ago just for getting acquainted to bug out and for them to not care they ain't fixing shit
I’ve had an enemy spawn next to me multiple times on just normal raids without using the transit. After that, I’ve had my progression knocked back about 10-12 hours due to the trader rep / arena bug. Safe to say I have no interest in playing EFT until next wipe. Having more fun in arena right now anyway.
I haven't played much due to Uni and Stalker 2 but I play this game for 3 reasons: 1. hardcore/realism, 2. questing and leveling up and 3. creativity and genuine ambition of the game. 1. nothing is hardcore right now due to the Arena-money-nonsense and the flea market. 2. questing and leveling is too fast and one unlocks the "good stuff" i.e. armor, scopes and guns quite early. 3. the developers' genuine care for the game keeps me playing it right now.
That comment on "once you have everything, what is the point of playing", is the reason why Tarkov will never be a high quality game. Tarkov is in its core a game that when complete, will have an "END", you escape Tarkov (correct me if wrong, but Nikita said this himself). That is a "single player" story based game principle, that they are trying to incorporate with multiplayer/PVP. And that can't work in that way. If you want a "story", it needs to end. That is the nature of men, and nature of gaming, and that is why many "single player" games have that "soul", that many online PVP games lack. You commit, spill blood, sweat, tears and coffee all over your keyboard, and then you slay the final boss. Get the satisfaction of a job finished and move on to the next challenge/game. But if you want people to keep playing your game for years, it cannot end. You need to keep adding new "stuff" constantly too keep them interested. Tarkov streamers at end wipe are perfect proof of this. Most of them lvl up 20x faster than your average Nikolai, and by the end of the wipe they get bored, start playing other games, bitch in front of camera how they cant wait for fresh wipe to get rid of all the bugs, and finally try out the new LMG first announced 64 years ago. So yeah, wipes are here to kinda fix old problems, but mostly to just introduce new ones. Dont see that changing anytime soon ;)
I agree mostly, but I think you're missing the easy and obvious answer to this. The game has an end, you escape from Tarkov. Yay! At that point you have prestige, money, etc but turn your accumulated skills and knowledge into a career by going back in for profit/fun/whatever. Think of it more as a job career than some existential thing. That said you make some great points about no-lifers and the state of perpetually unfinished games and the dichotomy of their approach to sp/mp.
Can the game first improve base performance and optimization? Shouldn't that be like the 2nd main priority of game development other than gameplay design?
i work a lot, and this wipe i wanted to go for the kappa (first time) and having all traders maxed (first time also), but i had the rep bug, jumping from nearly all trader lvl 4 (i'm lvl 41) to all traders lvl 2 (and far from lvl3), it just fucked up my wipe... i told bsg, who told me the issue was known and when i asked about when the issue will be fixed or if i can get my rep back, no awnsers... that's fucked up
This wipe was horrible for progression bugs on quests, i was locked out of access to Ref for the first month and it completely killed my motivation. Especially since i played a lot of Arena to see if the rep rewards were good which they were and I didnt get access early wipe when it would have made a huge difference.
I’m want to play this game again but wipes keep me from doing it. I can’t stand grinding for months then all my progress gets reset. Hopefully no wipe servers come into the game one day. I would like to play and come back a year later and still have all my progress
that transit bug not being fixed is one thing but I don't know why BSG won't just disable transits until they do, it's a serious issue to ignore for so long
Lost mine and my buddys meta m4 lvl6 plate kits (wich, as casuals, is rare gear for us) 5 minutes ago on Customs, spawned in and get killed by a dude from Transit. I don't have PVE so switching is not an option for me, but playing like this sucks. Especially when you just convinced your friend to come back to the game after him not playing for 2 Months, just to then get spwankilled in his first Raid. IDK if he'll open up the game ever again.
@@theShermanator Fika is so goated. Me and 2 friends play ultra realism against deadly but fair ai. It usually takes 4-5 attempts per quest but it is WAY more fun than live tarkov. 60+ mods with a coop mod and yet it runs similar to live tarkov with much better ai and mechanics. Not to mention over 30 new weapons to use, like the Magpul Masada/Remington ACR (which has had a poster in the game for years, but never added). BSG is a joke.
I completed a number of tasks, went to Arena but had to exit a game part way through. Lost all the last two days progress in the main game. So no the wipe will not fix anything even though I hope it will.
Make Flea FIR only? BUT make everything you load in raid with tagged as FIR (treated like dogtags so teammates can’t abuse it). This should be the best solution to please both sides of the FIR flea debate.
I really wish they would bring back the armour system they initially added. Streamers have sucked so much enjoyment out of this game its actually miserable
Yeah. Bullets actually hurt when that was in the game. Armor only covered what it covered, like real life. PVP was actually fun because a well placed shot was a guaranteed kill. Streamers have ruined the original vision of this game 100%. It is advertised as a realistic looter shooter but there is nothing realistic about it now a days
@ especially considering they have added dumb stuff like the death shadow mask that protects the one weak spot on the head which can stop pistol rounds as well. the TTK has only gotten higher. I cant stand tarkov streamers like Tigz who complain because they believe they’re entitled to win every time because they have no life outside tarkov
@@eeyore115 bro the death shadow does nothing outside of stopping occasional buckshot pellets. i wear one because i can, but someone spraying at your face with pistol caliber is probably going to hit your neck hitbox, which "if you're lucky" your armour's neck ring might stop one of the rounds (if they're under 20 pen.) like for real, even wearing a zabralo + killa helmet you can very easily die in under 1 mag of SMG. its leg meta but you dont have to use special ammo or aim weirdly

My PC is 10 years old and I still could farm those lvl60+ chads, because I knew I was spawning in with someone else and they didn't. I knew where I had to look to see the spawn, because I knew exactly where I would spawn after transit. It's not the hardware - as long as you have the countdown timer your game starts with theirs.
The boss spawn chances are what makes me quit the game after hitting 42 ( max traders ). I am a quest focused player and when most of my remaining quests are about bosses, and i have a 15-30% chance for them, it sucks the enjoyment out of the game for me. My friends always come at me with the argument "but if there are bosses too often on the map, the newbs die and lose their fun" Its not a valid argument. A new player might die but then has to LEARN from the experience, and maybe not go where bosses are, if not ready for it. They can nerf the boss-loot furthermore into the ground, i dont care, just make them spawn like 50% already at the start of wipe. It adds excitement to the game. It provokes PVP. Im pumped for the winter wipe ( because i loved the snow maps so much, and winter is a better time for gaming for me ) but i already know that once i it max traders within 10ish days or so, i am gone from tarkov for another 6 months until next wipe. Kappa and LK are just unreasonable goals for me. Too much time for too little reward.
I reported this to eft last patch and they said i didnt have enough info. It's not just transit and can happen on pve. Also had zombies spawn on me hitting me during zombie event before I even got in raid. Also dud nades have become very common now. The fog has gotten un barrelable again though typically doesn't last long usually. Maybe becuase the season? Also the fir will help a lot for scalpers and part flippers. That's why gral is always so cheap or bolts were always over 60k or more for awhile there. When they are typically 40k or lower. And there are a lot of items that do this all the time. Sure it moves money around and theres a fea. But buying 6 items from trader and selling on flea for double just because you can and people buy it. I'm pretty sure I played a patch back then that was similar with how flea works and they had to change it for another reason because it does not work. But they were not doing this crap. Also we need bitcoin changes. Haven't seen a change since it was at 800k ish when they reduced hiw many coins are output by the farm. But now they are worth 1.4m in a mostly static market. Omg how did I forget! Also the bugged out not dying but dead AI or player. You or someone else killed them but they just kinda just stand there. Un lootabale. When this patch cameout was happening all the time and I thought they fixed it but happened again to me yesterday killing tagilla.

I wish they could take a few month just to fix their current codes instead of rushing contents or new features that comes with more bugs and flaws. the spawn glitch is nothing compared to the rampant cheating. im a 4500 hour player on my 8th wipe and have died to more cheaters this wipe than ALL of my other wipes COMBINED. let that sink in. These are sub 100 hour accounts with 20+ kd often. Id say atleast 1/3rd of my deaths are to cheaters. theres nothing more demoralizing than this and it truly makes me sad bsg does not ban these people
You must really play on bad servers then. The only time i've runed into actualy confirmable cheaters in raid has been on one hand and until recently i played every day of the wipe with a buddy.
@@patrickflying17I’ve played since early 2018, it doesent matter if your in Colombian servers or New York, due to low player pop, cheaters are easily 10% of the current player pop as of right now (December 2024)
Flea markert taking not FIR items. Bit coin being worth too much. Arena money going into normal takov. Rep for special editions going up too fast. No end game wipe reason for pve. All things that make the game die too fast. Im a pve enjoyer I dont play pvp at all. Im level 40 and have had max traders rep since level 28. Only thing stopping me from getting max traders earlier was the level requirement. I have no incentive to do tasks. All the struggle of tarkov is missing so going into raid and getting killed dosnt really do anything to me. Only hard thing I have left is finding where to store all the money and items I collect.
i think the flea market not needing FIR and reselling traders 1000% contributed to the economy this wipe which i guarantee they will remove next patch.
4:30 i think if the only reason you go into raids is to earn roubles, you should just play another game. If the core gameplay isn't interesting enought and you only play for "number goes up" then just look for a game where the gameplay itself is fun.

If I spawned in and had an enemy player kill me at spawn I would uninstall the game immediately. That is absolutely unreal… I’ve seen it happening but yet to experience it. Now is the best big pockets time as all bosses are 100% spawns rate.

They need to stop doing this thing where all the good loot spots/key spots don't spawn any good loot and is instead spread across the map. Or just bump the density of high value loot toward the end of wipe, that way people can feel more incentivized to run around with their high skill/high gear pmcs instead of walking around, waiting for someone to run into them.
The more they "fix" the more that gets broken. This is by far the most broken and buggy wipe I've experienced to the point where it's my first time in 6 wipes where I quit playing. I hope the wipe will fix it all but I doubt it.
Will the wipe fix Tarkov? Probably not, but I'd wager that depends on who you ask. I'm personally of the opinion that I'd like to see comprehensive bug fixes and more QoL tweaking before they go about adding in new things that'll compound the pile of issues we're already sitting on. Similarly, while I recognize that the addition of prestige levels is targeting the several thousand hour accounts strata of the playerbase, I have and still feel like the game broadly has much less respect for a player's time than it ought to. I mean, the fact that the endgame state of Tarkov is a weird limbo where you quite literally run out of compelling reasons to play needs attention, and I don't think pressing a 'go again' button is the way to do so. Frankly, I'd rather see them flesh the later stages of the game out rather than encourage players to skip them. I dunno. Few things in the game feel quite so bad as hitting a point where gear is most accessible only to find that there's *nothing* to do with it. All of that is to say, I'm not opposed to new additions to the game, but I'd like something a little less filler than shoulder fire. Revisiting older areas/maps is nice. More of that, and stuff in a similar vein please. And for the love of all that is holy, figure out what high level play is supposed to be.
Issue is when they do eventually add the content after bug fixing… that’ll break a whole load more stuff. You’re almost better off sticking it all in and then cleaning up afterwards. It doesn’t make for a particularly good playing experience for players but I’m pretty sure BSG are thinking long term at this point… not on the day to day. Hence some awful bugs stay around too long.
i had my fencw rep remived from 5.8 to 0.4 without any arena gaming... one day logged off with rep nearly 6 and next day reseted to nearly 0.... its still there bc i am pissed af and dont care about scavrep anymore this wipe... this costs me around 250 scavraids... i really eont want to think about the timeloss with this bug bc i likw rarkov and dont want to go angry af in my raids 😪😪😪 it sucks hard @gigabeef
All of the casuals want easier access to everything, and to make it easier to make money, and I am trying to warn people that it will KILL THE GAME. I’ve been playing since wipe 2 of the open beta and this game thrives in times of struggle. Small QOL changes will add up and we will watch a similar fate happen to EFT that has happened in many other games. There is no need to cater to the people who play your game 3 hours a week.

man bsg have been so weird lately probably because the games player count took a big hit compared to when they started doing twitch drops, bsg really needs to sit down and optimize the damn game more and just focus on pushing the unity update so they can stay above these newer chinese mobile tarkov clones that people are glorifying for some simple reasons. great fps, better anti cheat, much less desync and faster development. i know bsg isnt a huge team but they are slowing down massively and them splitting the community isnt helping
i just want the game to not run like absolute shit (less than 90 fps) on a 4080 and 5950x on good looking graphics. hate having to play with shit tier quality just to not feel choppy as hell
I don't want 5o run blueberry gear, I didn't want to run a shotgun on the lighthouse, shit map. Don't wanna sun the SVD. Once I get to those quests I normally just stop playing.
pve mode is also to blame for the quiet raids, but as a pve player myself I can't complain I think as always the cheaters just force people out of pvp into pve
@EbolaBearr You can, theres a mod for it, you can also run the other mods too. Be warned if you slap the SAINs ai mod adjust it, it makes the ai actually competent
@@EbolaBearrYou can, but setting up the FIKA-server can be intimidating if you're not tech-savvy. Also depending on your hardware, it can tank your FPS so much that the game is unplayable. I watched my friend set it up, the performance was horrible even with a decent PC. PVE is the way to go if you're playing with friends.
Game Population was super low last months already. Imho its the annoying short wipe cycles. 98% of players never reach endgame because they simply cant in that timeframe. While we don't see this due to most of the content creators (not you specifically) nolifing the game and being the very loud and vocal minority about changes. BSG goes on to tailor the game around this small fraction of players. So we are leaving a majority behind once early game is over. And even if they stick around they will soon notice they cant reach anything in the timeframe that is given for a wipe. So we sadly are kinda stuck with half the wipe being empty until BSG fixes those things. Give us Prestige and a good reason to use it so we can wipe but leave the base game without wipe. So everyone can go in their pace and work on targets long term. I think this would be a good way to get a steady healthy population going. Otherwise we will just continue this wave cycle with wipe hype and boredom thereafter.
Not gonna lie this is pretty bad late wipe. Between bugs, nerfed loot and broken quest it feels bleh. Having the broken “getting acquainted” quest after trying for light keeper for the first time and BSG not giving any insight on fixing it prior to wipe almost discourages me from playing.
I think a big problem is that the game is unnecessarily difficult for new players considering that they will be playing against players that decided to not go PVE, they should implement maps properly with a gps locator, as well as quest markers on map. That in conjunction with quest overhauls should lower the barrier to entry and revive the player counts. Most people I play with that are in their first or second wipe just give up because there are so many quests that require pmc kills to progress and the only PMC's playing are sweatlords
@@synystargames6051 I've learned the quests and maps from mapgenie and the wiki. I think that the game should provide enough detail in the quest descriptions to figure out how to complete quests without relying on the wiki. I also think the game should provide a decent map so you can find quest locations. It's bad game design to require a second monitor and third party websites to understand and complete quests. As for the gps, I don't mind - it would be nice to retain new players to play against or with, at the minimum you should have your infil location marked on a map so you can navigate with a compass, it's immersion breaking. Not many PMCs would enter a contested location without knowing where he will be inserted

This happens sometimes on pvp. What happens mostly is we loading at different times. Ex me and 2 others load on at game start and the last guy loads in like 1 min later

Lightkeeper not allowing me to buy sig spears or hybrid ammo, empty servers after the mm update, transits spawning people on top of others, audio occlusions, lightkeeper not allowing people to advance the beginning quest line, lightkeeper not giving out completed quests unless you survive the first raid and go directly to him after waiting 10 hours. That's all issues that should have been addressed at some point this wipe. Not made worse.

Having fun on Modded SPT, or PvE with my boys. PvP is fun for a week or two but then you get killed by people with lv 4 traders while I'm still getting my Shoreline quests done
I am a sweat who has a lot of time to play and even for me PvE with the boys is so much more fun than PvP.
PvP is fun for maybe a month tops, then you have more than enough money to run meta gear every single raid without worry and all that is left is Kappa/LK quests which aren't a big movivator when you've already done them before.
Doing chill raids with friends on PvE and helping each other out is so much more enjoyable. I'm only lvl 44 and I know it will also get boring eventually, but atleast there is no hurry to progress because there is no competition or wipe coming.
I'm not sure if I'm gonna even play next PvP wipe. When the official Hardcore mode thingy comes I'll probably play that.

My biggest problem this wipe was the lack in motivation to actually do quests and get to a higher level. Because all the items you normally unlock from quest or higher traders could already be bought from the flea at a very low price so what is even the point in grinding for those quests. I liked it when I could find a gun part and know it would be valuable on the flea.

So far, my biggest issue this wipe was the quest/trader rep reset after arena which basically killed my interest in arena. The other big issue for me personally was the fog really handicapping me trying to do shooter born.
I have over 4k hours in this game, been playing it on and off since before Reserve, inertia, hell Interchange wasn't a thing when I started. I also have more than 25 years playing shooters under my belt, so hopefully the "get good" crowd is satisfied that I've long since done that. None of what I'm about to say has anything to do with my personal performance in PvP, when I played it I stomped most people, only losing to the really serious chads or cheaters.
Wipe will not fix Tarkov, an engine upgrade will not fix Tarkov. Aside from the bugs and the cheaters Tarkov is from a design point, in conflict with it's self. The PvP will never reach it's full potential because every other system in the game, the whole survival and even aspects of looting, keeps it from being a full PvP shooter. At the same time the survival aspect will never reach it's full potential because it would sacrifice the PvP aspects too much, and BSG knows that would alienate a bunch of players. BSG really did this to themselves when the twitch boom happened and they catered to streamers, and the huge influx of PvP focused players that saw those streamers gameplay, and expected the game to just be that. It already had a lot of PvP don't get me wrong, but that gave them a reason to focus on it a lot more and let the survival part fall to the wayside.
When you look at Tarkov's early days, and the trailers that came out then. It was supposed to be a PvE survival game with rare PvP encounters, there were many hints at the idea of players needing to team up to survive instead of just killing on sight. I remember Nikita even saying at one point that PMC encounters were supposed to be rare. But the elements that should have encouraged that never materialized, you really need to incentivize players to work together, and at best we've only ever seen half-baked systems like co-op extracts. At this point it would alienate a huge part of the player base to push Co-op because many of them came in during or after the big PvP push.
Lastly, there's another reason the PvP is mediocre at best, net code. When I was into it more hardcore I noticed a lot of my fights seemed one sided, if I swung a corner the other guy didn't even seem to react. It makes it less enjoyable, less about my skill vs theirs. The reality is they don't react, because most of the time they're dead before I'm even on their screen. This is a thing in other games to varying degrees, been playing shooters long enough to know that, and to notice when it's happening. I don't get off on beating players that stood no chance because of things outside their control, any more than I enjoy losing to it, so it really doesn't make me happy to win those fights. With Tarkov it's really pronounced, even on the nearest servers with a very stable connection (on my end). Just watch gameplay back, or any streamers for any amount of time and you'll see it if you're looking for it.
Arena made a lot of this way more apparent, especially at launch, just how bad the PvP actually was/is. I had hoped with the release of it the main game would focus more on the original intentions, but they fumbled the launch to an extreme, and a lot of the Tarkov community rejected it as the PvP part of the game. BSG just doesn't seem to know what they want Tarkov to actually be in the end. They're trying to force pieces together that will never mesh nicely.
In the end I don't know if we'll ever see Tarkov be everything it could have been.

before talking about the lightkeeper, I think you should mention the fact that the bug regarding quests being reset if you play arena is back. I started the wipe and had multiple quests reset and literally could not progress. I quit the wipe cause i was frustrated that i could not progress. Now i came back and seems like the bug is back (i saw that they fixed it at some point) i just completed shooter born, car repair, couple of gunsmiths and farm part 3 and 4. Sent be behind DAYS again. At this point this is stupidity.

For the flea market change: wouldn't it make sense that; if you're going to be able to put both found in raid and non found in raid items on flea, then the non found in raid items should have an additional tax on them, so that it incentivizes surviving as a pmc and stops people from getting extremely rich from just sitting in stash?
I've noted the bosses all glitching out alot just now, generally after killing them, can't loot them. Primarily para, but goons also.
most my bosses kills end up with the boss frozen into place dumping a bottomless magazine with ghost ammo deafenning me no matter how far away from them I get the volume stays the same until I extract. Of course no body to loot either
One thing to note about the Arena Trader rep bug, it seems once it happens to your account every time you reopen Arena it will roll your rep back again.

I’ve had an enemy spawn next to me multiple times on just normal raids without using the transit.
After that, I’ve had my progression knocked back about 10-12 hours due to the trader rep / arena bug.
Safe to say I have no interest in playing EFT until next wipe.

I haven't played much due to Uni and Stalker 2 but I play this game for 3 reasons: 1. hardcore/realism, 2. questing and leveling up and 3. creativity and genuine ambition of the game. 1. nothing is hardcore right now due to the Arena-money-nonsense and the flea market. 2. questing and leveling is too fast and one unlocks the "good stuff" i.e. armor, scopes and guns quite early. 3. the developers' genuine care for the game keeps me playing it right now.
That comment on "once you have everything, what is the point of playing", is the reason why Tarkov will never be a high quality game. Tarkov is in its core a game that when complete, will have an "END", you escape Tarkov (correct me if wrong, but Nikita said this himself). That is a "single player" story based game principle, that they are trying to incorporate with multiplayer/PVP. And that can't work in that way.
If you want a "story", it needs to end. That is the nature of men, and nature of gaming, and that is why many "single player" games have that "soul", that many online PVP games lack. You commit, spill blood, sweat, tears and coffee all over your keyboard, and then you slay the final boss. Get the satisfaction of a job finished and move on to the next challenge/game.
But if you want people to keep playing your game for years, it cannot end. You need to keep adding new "stuff" constantly too keep them interested. Tarkov streamers at end wipe are perfect proof of this. Most of them lvl up 20x faster than your average Nikolai, and by the end of the wipe they get bored, start playing other games, bitch in front of camera how they cant wait for fresh wipe to get rid of all the bugs, and finally try out the new LMG first announced 64 years ago.
So yeah, wipes are here to kinda fix old problems, but mostly to just introduce new ones. Dont see that changing anytime soon ;)
I agree mostly, but I think you're missing the easy and obvious answer to this. The game has an end, you escape from Tarkov. Yay! At that point you have prestige, money, etc but turn your accumulated skills and knowledge into a career by going back in for profit/fun/whatever. Think of it more as a job career than some existential thing.
That said you make some great points about no-lifers and the state of perpetually unfinished games and the dichotomy of their approach to sp/mp.

i work a lot, and this wipe i wanted to go for the kappa (first time) and having all traders maxed (first time also), but i had the rep bug, jumping from nearly all trader lvl 4 (i'm lvl 41) to all traders lvl 2 (and far from lvl3), it just fucked up my wipe... i told bsg, who told me the issue was known and when i asked about when the issue will be fixed or if i can get my rep back, no awnsers... that's fucked up

This wipe was horrible for progression bugs on quests, i was locked out of access to Ref for the first month and it completely killed my motivation. Especially since i played a lot of Arena to see if the rep rewards were good which they were and I didnt get access early wipe when it would have made a huge difference.
I’m want to play this game again but wipes keep me from doing it. I can’t stand grinding for months then all my progress gets reset. Hopefully no wipe servers come into the game one day. I would like to play and come back a year later and still have all my progress

Lost mine and my buddys meta m4 lvl6 plate kits (wich, as casuals, is rare gear for us) 5 minutes ago on Customs, spawned in and get killed by a dude from Transit. I don't have PVE so switching is not an option for me, but playing like this sucks. Especially when you just convinced your friend to come back to the game after him not playing for 2 Months, just to then get spwankilled in his first Raid. IDK if he'll open up the game ever again.

It usually takes 4-5 attempts per quest but it is WAY more fun than live tarkov. 60+ mods with a coop mod and yet it runs similar to live tarkov with much better ai and mechanics. Not to mention over 30 new weapons to use, like the Magpul Masada/Remington ACR (which has had a poster in the game for years, but never added). BSG is a joke.

Yeah. Bullets actually hurt when that was in the game. Armor only covered what it covered, like real life. PVP was actually fun because a well placed shot was a guaranteed kill. Streamers have ruined the original vision of this game 100%. It is advertised as a realistic looter shooter but there is nothing realistic about it now a days

My PC is 10 years old and I still could farm those lvl60+ chads, because I knew I was spawning in with someone else and they didn't. I knew where I had to look to see the spawn, because I knew exactly where I would spawn after transit. It's not the hardware - as long as you have the countdown timer your game starts with theirs.
in pve it will be nice to have ai friendly pmc if he spawns with you

The boss spawn chances are what makes me quit the game after hitting 42 ( max traders ).
I am a quest focused player and when most of my remaining quests are about bosses, and i have a 15-30% chance for them, it sucks the enjoyment out of the game for me.
My friends always come at me with the argument "but if there are bosses too often on the map, the newbs die and lose their fun"
Its not a valid argument. A new player might die but then has to LEARN from the experience, and maybe not go where bosses are, if not ready for it.
They can nerf the boss-loot furthermore into the ground, i dont care, just make them spawn like 50% already at the start of wipe. It adds excitement to the game. It provokes PVP.
Im pumped for the winter wipe ( because i loved the snow maps so much, and winter is a better time for gaming for me ) but i already know that once i it max traders within 10ish days or so, i am gone from tarkov for another 6 months until next wipe. Kappa and LK are just unreasonable goals for me. Too much time for too little reward.
I reported this to eft last patch and they said i didnt have enough info. It's not just transit and can happen on pve. Also had zombies spawn on me hitting me during zombie event before I even got in raid. Also dud nades have become very common now. The fog has gotten un barrelable again though typically doesn't last long usually. Maybe becuase the season?
Also the fir will help a lot for scalpers and part flippers. That's why gral is always so cheap or bolts were always over 60k or more for awhile there. When they are typically 40k or lower. And there are a lot of items that do this all the time. Sure it moves money around and theres a fea. But buying 6 items from trader and selling on flea for double just because you can and people buy it. I'm pretty sure I played a patch back then that was similar with how flea works and they had to change it for another reason because it does not work. But they were not doing this crap. Also we need bitcoin changes. Haven't seen a change since it was at 800k ish when they reduced hiw many coins are output by the farm. But now they are worth 1.4m in a mostly static market.

the spawn glitch is nothing compared to the rampant cheating. im a 4500 hour player on my 8th wipe and have died to more cheaters this wipe than ALL of my other wipes COMBINED. let that sink in. These are sub 100 hour accounts with 20+ kd often. Id say atleast 1/3rd of my deaths are to cheaters. theres nothing more demoralizing than this and it truly makes me sad bsg does not ban these people
You must really play on bad servers then. The only time i've runed into actualy confirmable cheaters in raid has been on one hand and until recently i played every day of the wipe with a buddy.
I leave the game after 1 year playing, because of the insane amount of cheaters in this game. In Europe is full of them and they are in every game.

All things that make the game die too fast. Im a pve enjoyer I dont play pvp at all. Im level 40 and have had max traders rep since level 28. Only thing stopping me from getting max traders earlier was the level requirement. I have no incentive to do tasks. All the struggle of tarkov is missing so going into raid and getting killed dosnt really do anything to me. Only hard thing I have left is finding where to store all the money and items I collect.
i think the flea market not needing FIR and reselling traders 1000% contributed to the economy this wipe which i guarantee they will remove next patch.
4:30 i think if the only reason you go into raids is to earn roubles, you should just play another game. If the core gameplay isn't interesting enought and you only play for "number goes up" then just look for a game where the gameplay itself is fun.

If I spawned in and had an enemy player kill me at spawn I would uninstall the game immediately. That is absolutely unreal… I’ve seen it happening but yet to experience it. Now is the best big pockets time as all bosses are 100% spawns rate.

This wipe people are running scars, g36, a lot of different guns, yes some things don’t work but the pvp for me were one of the best this wipe.
Because people can actually get semi decent ammo and those guns cheaper with the flea changes

I think you would have better luck queuing with a random in lobby.
They need to stop doing this thing where all the good loot spots/key spots don't spawn any good loot and is instead spread across the map. Or just bump the density of high value loot toward the end of wipe, that way people can feel more incentivized to run around with their high skill/high gear pmcs instead of walking around, waiting for someone to run into them.

The more they "fix" the more that gets broken. This is by far the most broken and buggy wipe I've experienced to the point where it's my first time in 6 wipes where I quit playing.

Will the wipe fix Tarkov? Probably not, but I'd wager that depends on who you ask.
I'm personally of the opinion that I'd like to see comprehensive bug fixes and more QoL tweaking before they go about adding in new things that'll compound the pile of issues we're already sitting on. Similarly, while I recognize that the addition of prestige levels is targeting the several thousand hour accounts strata of the playerbase, I have and still feel like the game broadly has much less respect for a player's time than it ought to. I mean, the fact that the endgame state of Tarkov is a weird limbo where you quite literally run out of compelling reasons to play needs attention, and I don't think pressing a 'go again' button is the way to do so. Frankly, I'd rather see them flesh the later stages of the game out rather than encourage players to skip them. I dunno. Few things in the game feel quite so bad as hitting a point where gear is most accessible only to find that there's *nothing* to do with it.
All of that is to say, I'm not opposed to new additions to the game, but I'd like something a little less filler than shoulder fire. Revisiting older areas/maps is nice. More of that, and stuff in a similar vein please. And for the love of all that is holy, figure out what high level play is supposed to be.
Issue is when they do eventually add the content after bug fixing… that’ll break a whole load more stuff. You’re almost better off sticking it all in and then cleaning up afterwards.
It doesn’t make for a particularly good playing experience for players but I’m pretty sure BSG are thinking long term at this point… not on the day to day. Hence some awful bugs stay around too long.

i had my fencw rep remived from 5.8 to 0.4 without any arena gaming... one day logged off with rep nearly 6 and next day reseted to nearly 0.... its still there bc i am pissed af and dont care about scavrep anymore this wipe... this costs me around 250 scavraids... i really eont want to think about the timeloss with this bug bc i likw rarkov and dont want to go angry af in my raids 😪😪😪 it sucks hard @gigabeef
All of the casuals want easier access to everything, and to make it easier to make money, and I am trying to warn people that it will KILL THE GAME.
I’ve been playing since wipe 2 of the open beta and this game thrives in times of struggle.
Small QOL changes will add up and we will watch a similar fate happen to EFT that has happened in many other games.
There is no need to cater to the people who play your game 3 hours a week.

man bsg have been so weird lately probably because the games player count took a big hit compared to when they started doing twitch drops, bsg really needs to sit down and optimize the damn game more and just focus on pushing the unity update so they can stay above these newer chinese mobile tarkov clones that people are glorifying for some simple reasons. great fps, better anti cheat, much less desync and faster development. i know bsg isnt a huge team but they are slowing down massively and them splitting the community isnt helping

Tarkov is smoked dude. None of the people I have played with over the last 5 years are willing to even come back for wipes.
I miss when we could Scalp prices from traders. Felt more realistic, Like GPU prices in 2022.
i just want the game to not run like absolute shit (less than 90 fps) on a 4080 and 5950x on good looking graphics. hate having to play with shit tier quality just to not feel choppy as hell
I had the PMC spawn in the same location twice yesterday on PvE.
I don't want 5o run blueberry gear, I didn't want to run a shotgun on the lighthouse, shit map. Don't wanna sun the SVD. Once I get to those quests I normally just stop playing.
pve mode is also to blame for the quiet raids, but as a pve player myself I can't complain
I think as always the cheaters just force people out of pvp into pve

@EbolaBearr You can, theres a mod for it, you can also run the other mods too. Be warned if you slap the SAINs ai mod adjust it, it makes the ai actually competent
@@EbolaBearrYou can, but setting up the FIKA-server can be intimidating if you're not tech-savvy. Also depending on your hardware, it can tank your FPS so much that the game is unplayable.
I watched my friend set it up, the performance was horrible even with a decent PC. PVE is the way to go if you're playing with friends.
Game Population was super low last months already. Imho its the annoying short wipe cycles. 98% of players never reach endgame because they simply cant in that timeframe. While we don't see this due to most of the content creators (not you specifically) nolifing the game and being the very loud and vocal minority about changes. BSG goes on to tailor the game around this small fraction of players. So we are leaving a majority behind once early game is over. And even if they stick around they will soon notice they cant reach anything in the timeframe that is given for a wipe.
So we sadly are kinda stuck with half the wipe being empty until BSG fixes those things. Give us Prestige and a good reason to use it so we can wipe but leave the base game without wipe. So everyone can go in their pace and work on targets long term. I think this would be a good way to get a steady healthy population going.
Otherwise we will just continue this wave cycle with wipe hype and boredom thereafter.
Not gonna lie this is pretty bad late wipe. Between bugs, nerfed loot and broken quest it feels bleh. Having the broken “getting acquainted” quest after trying for light keeper for the first time and BSG not giving any insight on fixing it prior to wipe almost discourages me from playing.
for the big pockets boss quest, Zryachi counts, unless they changed it this wipe

I think a big problem is that the game is unnecessarily difficult for new players considering that they will be playing against players that decided to not go PVE, they should implement maps properly with a gps locator, as well as quest markers on map. That in conjunction with quest overhauls should lower the barrier to entry and revive the player counts. Most people I play with that are in their first or second wipe just give up because there are so many quests that require pmc kills to progress and the only PMC's playing are sweatlords

Gps locator and quest markers are the worst idea ever, if you want that go play COD or something.
@@synystargames6051 I've learned the quests and maps from mapgenie and the wiki. I think that the game should provide enough detail in the quest descriptions to figure out how to complete quests without relying on the wiki. I also think the game should provide a decent map so you can find quest locations. It's bad game design to require a second monitor and third party websites to understand and complete quests. As for the gps, I don't mind - it would be nice to retain new players to play against or with, at the minimum you should have your infil location marked on a map so you can navigate with a compass, it's immersion breaking. Not many PMCs would enter a contested location without knowing where he will be inserted
