People are over complicating this way too much. I have one 55 gal drum with a lid - no holes, no nothing. Burn the wood in there until there is a good fire going, put the lid back on top and control the opening. Don't let much air in, just enough space for the gases to escape and burn. Once it's all burned, put the lid fully back on and snuff the fire out. Wait until it cools, and done.
And how efficient is that compared to this? do you have videos to show the difference? If you are fine with what you have than great but you can always try to improve if you want and if not don't stomp on others for having fun trying things and testing new Ideas
