I love how you said you were nervous. I have done about 10 or 15 pieces now and I still get nervous every single time. It is just that you don’t know exactly how the paint is going to fall each time and you just want to guide it to be perfect. Lord I know how you feel! You’re doing a great job!
I really enjoyed this video. You didn't sound nervous at all, and you have a great sense of humor about yourself and your project which I think is drop dead gorgeous! Time after time I've seen you make a thing of beauty out of nothing. What a talent! I'd like to see another one of these clocks. If I don't find one in your other videos, will you do one? Please?😃
I love it!! I want to make one so bad but I don’t want to ruined one of my rounds because they’re not cheap. I just keep watching these videos and hopefully I’ll finally try it. Very very nicely done!!
Thank you, Patty! I still get nervous when I embark on a new piece. Just remember that you can always tweak it or cover it up if you don't like something. Have a great day!
Thank you! This was a silver marker I got from Dollartree. I now use Artistro oil based Paint Pens. If u check out one of my newer videos, you will find the link to my Amazon Store. They are in there. If u don't want to, just search Artistro Metallic Paint Pens. They are great! Better than Decocolor imo. Happy creating!
If the base is wood it helps with bubbles because some woods gas during the curing process. I had an experience with a board where there was one area that wouldn't stop bubbling and I finally got it to stop after 3 coats!🤔 Another reason is, depending on the colors you are using (light colours), it just makes them pop more and also effectively use less resin as well.
Thank you so much for your videos! I was wondering if you could make a video on how you safely break glass from Dollarama or if you have recommendations on where you learned from! Would really appreciate it :) I find that buying already broken glass is a bit pricey for me so i would love to learn how to safely do it!
This is amazing! Thank you for sharing your art. Wanted to know how you drilled the hole for the clock machine? And doesn't the drilling affect the resin?
Thank you 🤗. I used a drill with drill bits. I usually like to drill the hole the following day. It does not affect the resin at all. Just do it slowly.
I want to know how you prepared the base before applying the glass pieces and how you applied the blue color, silver, and grey color on the board. is it resin mixed? Or just color with water?
@@addagirl3487 not sure where you are located but you can get them at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, craft stores etc. The board I used is maybe 1/8 of an inch. They can be a as thick as you want.
It's very beautiful, i just have a question dear ,when u were doing the glitter lines did u add ur glitter to the resin in the squeeze bottle, or u had added glitter to the glitter glue we get in these little squeeze bottles
Beautiful piece, can I please ask what was in the bottle, was it glitter and resin? And secondly how do you drill your hole afterwards, I’d be scared of cracking the resin? Thank you 😊
Thank you Heidi! Yes, I filled the bottle with my resin glitter mix. I drill the hole from the back very slowly and with a bit of pressure. I always drill the holes as soon as the resin is dry to the touch and before fully cured.
Just glitter and resin. Let the resin thicken up quite a bit before using so the glitter doesn't spread. The bottle can be reused again by pulling out the cured resin. Using a larger bottle is much easier to clean.
The little bottle with the glitter for the lines...did you add resin to make it liquid or is it something else. I really enjoyed this video. I've watched it several times!
Yes, I mixed the glitter with resin and then poured into the bottle. Thank you!! I've recreated this clock a few times now for clients. Each one is a bit different but that's the beauty of resin!
The back is taped with painters tape. Just heat it up with a heat gun and it comes off smoothly. I also finish the backs with a coat of metallic paint.
This is a 12" Betty Crocker high density fibre board that used for cakes. I found them by chance at Dollarama. They are strong and sturdy. Was a score as I can't find them now. You can use birch rounds. They work great.
I just scrape it out as best I can and let it dry! I make sure the tip is clear as well. I have used it a couple times now and it still does the job. I wonder if they sell silicone bottles?
I love it !!! The choice of colors is amazing!!! If I can ask you - please, tell me where to buy a clock form? I tried to go on the Target website and couldn’t find it:(((
Hi, the only thing that that I didn't show was that I painted the board with acrylic paint and loosely placed my glass on the board to my liking. Thanks for watching and if u have questions, I'd be happy to help. 😊
WOW, That clock turned out amazing. 💙❤Thank you
Thanks Pam!

The piece is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
What did you use as far as a carrier for your glitter in the bottle? I didn't quit understand.
Thanks. It was just glitter mixed in resin. Wait until it thickens up though otherwise it will spread.
@@RinirocksArtistry thank you for your reply.
Can you please do a video on how you attach the clock mechanism??
Yes!
thank you for sharing, beautiful work..what is the size of the crushed stone that you used? 1/2 or 1/4 inch?
You're welcome! 1/4 and smaller.
That is gorgeous! I’m wondering why you paint the base when it’s going to be completely covered up?
If the base is wood it helps with bubbles because some woods gas during the curing process. I just laid my glass pieces how I wanted them and yes, my colors were mixed with resin

Are you using a GoPro to film? If so, there is a setting that will stop the camera from moving around.
One of my favorites, love the design!
Thank you!!
I've made this clock twice now! It's very popular!
Beautiful.🌷
Thank you!!
Did you mix the acrylic paints with anything before you poured? Turquoise, prussian blue, gray etc.
No, just resin.
you didn't mention in your mixture of glitter for the silver lines... did you add it to resin for the liquid part? this is so pretty.
Yes, I added resin to my glitter mix and then poured it in the bottle. Make sure that it isn't too runny as it will spread.
okay thanks so much for the tip! I'm wanting to make my first resin clock for a family member for Christmas and I'm looking at info on how to begin.
I'm also wondering where do you get your base and how thick is it?

@@RinirocksArtistry do you leave the rest of the unused resin glitter mix in the bottle? Does it harden in there?
@@lesleyhutton6299 hi! I let it cure, and then I squeeze the bottle and pull out the cured resin. Much easier to do that with a larger bottle though.
I just found it wood forms of clock on Target website.:)Now I will try to do what you did :)))You are my inspiration:)
Thanks! I found these boards at my local Dollarama. They are 12" dense cake boards with a finished back.
Could you send the link for the wood board. I can't seem to find . Hoe did tge resin not go over the edge?
I would like to see it really from the beginning adding blues
So beautiful 🥰
Thanks!!
Just beautiful! Where did you find the clock hands in nickel?
Thank you! I spray painted them myself!
What did you use to make that silver line? Is it only chunky glitter with soft added by resin solvent? Did the bottle can be use after?
Just glitter and resin. Let the resin thicken up quite a bit before using so the glitter doesn't spread. The bottle can be reused again by pulling out the cured resin. Using a larger bottle is much easier to clean.

What is the metallic marker you're using?
Any oil based Metallic marker will do but right now I use the Artistro brand that I get off Amazon. DecoColor is great as well.
@@RinirocksArtistry Thank you. I reason I asked is that I have some that I'm not very happy with.
Yes
How do you clean up your sides?
The back is taped with painters tape. Just heat it up with a heat gun and it comes off smoothly. I also finish the backs with a coat of metallic paint.
Which board you are using?
This is a high density fiber board but you can use mdf, wood, etc. Some even use vinyl records!
what did you use for the base of the board? and how thick is it 😍

I just love it. Can l ask what you used to glue the crushed glass on the first coat of resin with?
I didn't glue the glass down at all. I just drizzled the resin over them on the first round
Nice job, it’s beautiful. Great job on the video too, I’m still nervous when I do TH-cam’s, you are much better than me 🤣🤣🤣🤣 oh and I subscribed

Did you use resin and glitter to make those silver lines?
Yes!
This is amazing! So beautiful.
Do you mix resin with the paint?
Thank you! Yes, acrylic paints and micas
Did you coat entire finished product with resin or just the glass?
The entire piece 🤗
It's beautiful...ty ;)
What kind of pen did use to outline this gorgeous piece 😊
Forever in time silver marker.. They work great!
What is the thickness of your board please?
1/4 inch
Which silver market did you use at the end? Was it an acrylic pen of sorts?
Krylon silver leaf pen🤗
where do you get your board?
I found them at a local store☺️
How much paint do you add to the resin?
General rule is no more than 10 percent. I just eyeball it.
how is it your glitter lines aren't running?
I let the resin sit for 10 min or so 🤗
what does the term marshmallow mean?
It's when the resin starts to cure and it gets stringy😊
hello you have the first part of how you did it because this video does not teach from the beginning.
Hi, the only thing that that I didn't show was that I painted the board with acrylic paint and loosely placed my glass on the board to my liking. Thanks for watching and if u have questions, I'd be happy to help. 😊
