Yessssss, Layne had one of the most beautiful voices of all time. Such artistic flow with no effort. If I could bring back one decesed musician it would be a tough pick between Layne and Freddie Mercury. Chris Cornell is great too, but I have always enjoyed Alice in Chains the most from the grunge scene.

I don’t think his voice is unique I think it’s just how he uses it. I couldn’t even tell you If Gerard knows anything about singing or even has any skills as a singer. I mean, the whole band didn’t even know how to play when they released their first album.

Everyone knew how to play and had been playing for awhile when they released their first album, except the bass player Mikey, he was still kind of a beginner. He’d played in other bands before though, they all had. They talk about all this in their documentary, Life on the Murder Scene.

Yeah, they're really good. They're actually on a really big tour right now, you should really check them out! Saw them at TRNSMT festival in Glasgow (scotland) and they're sooo good live.
They're one of the best alt rock bands out there rn in my opinion Lyrics could do with more meat but most times Conor's vocals is enough of an experience Especially when he really puts strength into his high notes over some heavier bass and guitar. Conor's operatic vocals over traditional alt rock sounds is so good. Like a second coming of Muse in some ways.

I mean not many people can do that let alone understand what someone is actually saying while scream singing (if thats what u call it even). He was a tenor. Towards the end of his career he had hard time reaching some of those high notes. Passed at 41. But started singing really at like 15? 16? But didnt scream sing really until Linkin Park. He was in Grey Daze first then joined LP in 1996 (?).

Please react to the way Chester Bennington #ripchesterb could scream sing an then ho back to singing like an angel. I mean not many people can do that let alone understand what someone is actually saying while scream singing (if thats what u call it even). He was a tenor. Towards the end of his career he had hard time reaching some of those high notes. Passed at 41. But started singing really at like 15? 16? But didnt scream sing really until Linkin Park. He was in Grey Daze first then joined LP in 1996 (?).
