The Pac has never said they are now the same as they once were. When they say 'we are back' it means the conference has been brought back from the dead. Your insinuations really miss the point and is equivalent to disrespecting someone who has hit rock bottom and trying to put their life together by working at a job not at the same level as when they were doing well
The Dakotas and the Montanas aren't making that jump. All have said they a comfortable where they are. Plus the FBS sign up fee is $5M now.....dont expect too many more jumps from FCS going forward.
MWC has to add Texas State, UTEP, Tarleton State, and Sam Houston. These four schools would add large media markets, large enrollments, and solid fan bases. Plus the MWC would restore confidence that it is still a real conference.
AF doesn't have the ability to pay the multi million dollar exit fee and the AAC isn't going to pay it. The dissolution of the MWC will be the only path for the Falcons to play football in the AAC. The remaining MWC need to provide a public statement of "No Confidence" in Commissioner Navarez, based on UT State leaving.
@@anthonytitone it now costs $5M to join the FBS.....FCS jumps are going to slow way down going foward and The Montanas have repeatedly said their not moving anytime soon.
I think when Utah state jumped it has now become a fear and panic of getting left behind for those who held on to stay. Notice all the teams joining the P12 are state universities.
The PAC12 will not be a power conference but it will be a good basketball conference especially with Gonzaga. Gary Parrish even said that. The conference will not be a top football conference but basketball will be in the top 3. SDSU was considered by the Big 12 but they did not want to accept a half share. SDSU was accepted into the old Pac12 but it imploded before completion.
The saddest thing is the big 12 is living off the history of all the teams that left them. That’s why their TV contract is so good. Once these networks realize the big 12 is as good as the pac, they’re not going to make that much money, no matter how much the big 12 fans try to push all these minor schools, it’s only the power 2
Big difference between having multiple big time schools & big time basketball brands. Then, two middling borderline Mountain West caliber teams (Oregon St/Wazzu). Big 12 has a way higher growth chance than this delusional new PAC 12 fanbase.
@@alexa7736 the BIG12 is a very competitive conference and will be for the foreseeable future. Basketball and Football are top notch and squarely land within fair play with any of the other “power” conferences
Cfb starting to be more about lawsuits than games.
I kept on saying that storylines for college football is not on the field but off the field
WSU and OSU were top half of television viewership!
Big 12 Colorado finished 4th out of 134 fbs teams in overall viewership last year, just ahead of Georgia at #5. Who in the PAC compares?
@@davidkreitzer4401 just Deion sanders, when he leaves next year that number will go way down
Saw that. That was an incredible turn around. The previous year they were ranked right with SMU.

Gould is a snake!
MWC Can grab UTEP, NMSU, the FCS Montana schools, any of the Dakotas including North Dakota St..... plenty of options for the MWC.

UTEP, NM State, Sam houston, and SFA or la tech

Big 12 viewership is waaay up!
MWC is down to 7 teams that have decided to leave the conference. If UNLV and Air Force decide to leave ,then they will be down to 5 teams.
Technically we are both looking for 1 team, but honestly which is in the better shape?
The bylaws say they all the Exiting teams still have voting rights until June 1 2025. So could they vote to dissolve the conference?
The "power or not" talk is irrelevant because there's only going to be 4 conferences left anyway. SEC, B1G, B12, P12.
Air Force to the AAC and merge the remaining 6 teams of the MWC teams to the PAC 12
Nobody wants the other 5 especially Hawaii & Nevada. The Pac didnt even want Utah St until yesterday.

You guys are funny, Washington State has more viewership than 1/3 of the big 12.

Instead of a Power 5 conference, the Pac12 is now a Powder 5 conference.
PAC has already taken the best teams of the MW and now will take them to court and win...MW will dissolve if they continue on this path
Even if they lose UNLV & Air Force they should survive by adding FCS teams like Sac State & the Montanas
