I love what Jeff had to say about the Grammy win “adding a certain legitimacy to what we do for some people, but the real proof is that we’re still here…”. Well said, Jeff. Well said.
most insightful HOF interview of all time. so much good stuff here. never thought i would hear them actually talk about Ethereal, that along with Turk are what made me a fan
@@arnieslab dude no joke. I came in with zero expectations, and ended up having a blast with all the acts. I’ll be sure to see them every time they come to town
Great episode, would love to hear you pick Matt's brain a bit more someday, I'm sure it would be a blast. Funny thing with Zeal & Ardor, it was the same with me, the albums didn't grab me, but when I saw them live... Man, it blew me away! I know you like yourself some Polish black metal so be sure to check out "Hollow" by Hauntologist if you haven't done so yet. If not, it's a project by The Fall and Darkside of Mgła and it's f...ng fantastic! Take care man!
Surprised at how much shade people are throwing at the new material actually. But like I've said many times - 2024 is a year of very, very heavy traffic.
Hahahah! Me neither. The last time I got a mention was for the Dave Ellefson episode. Hopefully the winds of scandal give Mr Vincent a wide berth though!
I really dig LATE NIGHT WITH THE DEVIL. Totally get what you mean about the ending. I just wish that the backstage scenes felt authentic, or wasn’t advertised like some lost media. Otherwise, I would have liked the ending. Definitely enjoyed the interview with High On Fire. Love your approach with the questions with this interview. Glad you were able to get them on the podcast.
It is kinda weird that they forgot the first leg of the EM American tour. That was with Power Trip while Riley Gale was still alive! and Ethereal is a god-tier song! I wish they would play it live more.
Interview done...news rant to come. The fact that your opinion is being silenced via copyright strikes has some level of hilarity to it. Tommy and Nikki clearly eyeing those pension pots and worried about a necro podcast offering less than fatuous praise of their latest emanation 😏...that said, even their own fans seem to think it's a steaming pile based on the comments (You either die a hero, or you live enough to become... well this) being my personal fave

💯
Not just one of the greatest Sludge / Doom bands, but also an incredible guitarrist.
The best of the best in my opinion.

Glad you enjoyed it! 🤘
I just saw these guys live 2 nights ago in Cleveland, Ohio and they delivered BIG. What an amazing show.
I can't wait to catch them on this next touring cycle.
I was there, front row infront of matz. It was so loud you could feel the air coming off stage, such a killer show/night
@@justinbowles2614 I hope they don’t wait forever to come back. Even the opening bands were good.

Completely agree with Matt on spirituality. Killer band! 😎🤘
One of the MOST killer bands, in my view.

Adding Hauntologist to the list immediately! Glad you enjoyed the episode, mate.
Great episode. Agree with your take on Rotting Christ 100%

Brilliant episode! Very few people out there as cool as Matt Pike. also great fucking shirt you're wearing!
Matt Pike is the man! Which shirt are you referring to by the way? The Exorcist?
Glad you enjoyed it, mate! 🤜🤛
@@IntoTheNecrosphere Yep The Exorcist shirt! love it.
Can I ask you where did you get it, mate?@@IntoTheNecrosphere
I picked it up at an HMV of all places! HMV at the Oracle in Reading, UK to be exact.
Thanks!!

i love how HOF is doing all of these small podcasts no one has ever heard of.
😂 So am I!
And I was not expecting Into The Necrosphete being mentioned on Blabbermouth.
Hahahah! Me neither. The last time I got a mention was for the Dave Ellefson episode. Hopefully the winds of scandal give Mr Vincent a wide berth though!
Aaw yeah! 🔥🔥🔥

Matt Pike is a god. I'll be playing this tomorrow at work!

One of my top 3-4 songs of all time. And it feels like it would absolutely kill live, so totally agree with you.
Jeff DOES have a big Venom tattoo - so the devil worship is there to some degree : ). just kidding, congrats on a great new album.
Speaks volumes! Hahaha!
