OK Jackie, I wasn't expecting such a cool interview this time! Gonna confess that I've never heard about Slidhr before - and I got impressed with what you brought: both band and artist are pretty interesting - I must check out their stuff later; really something else! J. Deegan has a great taste to music, as well as tattoo things and dogs also! I like dudes who grew-up around poverty/beating the odds in society - there's something special about know the value of small, simple things; everything related to small scenes/circles interest me a lot! About the Ep. content: 1) Engangshammer - never heard before and DAMN!!! Absurdly good! 100% into old Darkthrone shit! Loved, LOVED this one! 2) I heard this band Adorior and thought their sound good... The spicy vocals (pretry like old Schimier) are quite old school (it's a female in the frontline btw) and the sound/production is great! Very interesting content! 3) Suidraka just isn't for me... Don't know how to say it, but their sound doesn't hook me in any aspect. I pass. 4) Gorgon sounds... Melodically sonic; it's OK but too close to pretty much I hear about the genre. Well fone but nothing special; 5) Misantrophy didn't impressed me also - again, something very familiar permeate their sound, which isn't like I really enjoy when listening some Death-related tune; a regular material IMO; 6) Raging Speed Horn is in a place between Pantera/something COC dropped in their long discography; not bad but a bit too generic. It's worthy to take a look though; 7) New Havok is solid, decent and honest! I truly believe Thrash Metal isn't the same beast from the past anymore - it's pretty difficult to innovate in that corner but that's OK since the sond still works. 8) Hmmm... Crippled Black Phoenix is different, very deep and immersive. It's really cool and atmospheric, working pretty well the tunes and shades. Liked it. 10) As I Lay Crying... LOL! Dude, everything I heard about them is against my will - idgas about anything they do - it's galaxies away my musical taste. Definitely not my choice; 11) Whoa Jackie - I totally agree with you! To a non-English native speaker I thought Rick's voice quite beautiful - I'm sure that would be great hear him reading an audio book or something hahaha. 12) Christians... That's it, bro! Another week has been ended and let's see what you'll bring next! Thank you so much as usual and I'm sure next episode will be killer!
Another great pod. Didn't you and the sinister minister slam that Adorior? I suppose everyone has the right to change their minds. Keep up the great stuff man! look forward to 250
I did! And following many calls from the legion to check out the album, it won me over. Same with Aara. Thanks as always for supporting the show, brother!
Great episode brother, Slidhr are great. Also Gorgon are a great band their early stuff is classic 90s black metal very forgotten though but I'm a big fan of their first album, their new stuff is pretty solid in my opinion but definitely nothing to set the world on fire but I do like them. I'm still not down with Aara those vocals are not for me. Both Danzig and Slayer definitely got fed up with Rick Rubin after their first albums together. He did some great albums but I think is over rated as a producer

Aara has definitely grown on me, but I get where you're coming from. Will give Gorgon a fair shake too! Thanks for the support as always, brother.
Not sure how Slidhr slipped by me last year. Changing that today lol!
A wise decision!
