“How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. I’m a hairdresser 30 years but have recently become a nail tech at 47. I’m very out going and ran a very successful barbershop. I took over this barbershop from a man who owned the shop 25 years and for 5 years had men come in and ask where the barber was even though I was standing there cutting hair. Let’s just say I had a uphill battle convincing men that as a woman I was more than capable to cut there hair and I did very successfully not because I was the best barber at the start but because of my personality. Of cause I got better and became successful even though I wanted to run most days in the beginning. Personality is everything

Great topic I was just thinking about this last night and wondering how I could find d someone I trusted to work with and represent my name/company. I was focusing more on finding someone that had the same skill level and quality of work and wasn't even thinking about the other things that will definitely make or break the business relationship so thank you for this and as always tfs cant wait to see the next one

I have an interview at my dream salon tomorrow and oh boy I am so nervous!!! This really helped me feel better about it though, if its the right vibe then it doesnt matter if theres something i may not have learned yet. Im always wanting to learn and grow in the industry, but if the vibe aint right then it aint right!

Hi guys! Don't see myself working in a salon .. definitely need someone who is outgoing.....it's hard to bring in an employee, I made a few mistakes hiring bartenders, one girls said she had changed, oh she changed alright, not in a good way! Did I comment first? Lol
