reason they turned it off was because people found out that if you angle the camera you can click between 2 rocks while f key spam hide/show invy so you can just spam left click to drop ore and were getting 200k+ xp per hour, no need to move mouse or camera.

Wait... so the theory is they fixed it because nobody was mining iron? Even though iron is a level 15 rock. What's so wrong with letting people move on from mining iron ore?
If you look at rs3 they changed exp rates to benefit you to mine whatever you want. Yes the exp varies but not nearly as shit as osrs. Trying to ensure you don't just go to next highest lvl and sit there bc that's boring and useless.

@@jeremy322345 thats not how it works on rs3. you will always gain more xp on activities that are higher level, the only difference is that active training methods grant more xp/hr than afk methods. if you see someone doing lower level methods when they have a higher level it's because the output is worth money or the method is more afk.
I was really looking forward to being able to get more sandstone per rock just to get sand faster. Wish they'd just tweak the xp rate for sand and granite when wearing gloves instead

Iron is a level 15 ore. You can make a new account and mine iron in less than 30 minutes. The meta xp shouldn't be something you gain access to at .005% into the grind.

Mining is an outdated horrid skill that provides mediocre gp/ph compared to even revenants and zombie pirates for mid levels while also offering some of the worst xp rates of any skill in the game for some arbitrary reason. At least thieving is 200k xp/ph while making 2-3x the gp/ph of mining by the time you get to vyres / elves.
