How Cataclysm Raids Were Cleared 2 HOURS After Dropping

- Yesterday night Cataclysm's first raid tier, tier 11, introducing Bastion of Twilight, Throne of the Four Winds, and Blackwing Descent, was cleared in just under 2 hours from release by the guild Progress. This raid tier introduced some famous bosses like Sinestra, Ala'kir or Nefarian, but none of them stood a chance against the insane lengths player went into nowadays. Today we're gonna explore how they did it and compare it to the original release of Cataclysm to see what exactly changed.

@@brandonkruse6412 no they are straight up NERFS like 20% dmg/hp nerfs, straight up.
There were hotfixes to those bosses in 4.1 but they went further with them currently.
I thought private servers after vanilla were all glitchy and buggy, especially after wotlk
On private server releases heroic raids usually have modifiers where every1 does -30% damage and healers do -30% healing. Was usually cleared within 2 hours.
its like having knowledge of the lottery 13 years prior then finally using it. We already know the winning number
I feel like the solved component of the raids and the increase in player skill is driving nearly all of the difference.
Somehow I'm enjoying Cata Classic more than wotlk

I remember being oom at every fight as a healer but I watched a raid yesterday and they were cleaning content so easy in pre raid gear 😮

No its not nerfed, if you dont mean that first week of original cata that raids was overtuned and unkillable... So its not nerfed

Say your guild runs 25m normal but doesnt full clear. Does the first set of people to reform on 10m and clean up just screw over everyone else?
You can do that as long as you haven’t entered heroic.
Post nerf raids is not correct. Devs clearly said we are pre-nerf, but “post bug fixes.”
The 20% nerf is NOT in. Scottejaye and others have also covered this commonly mistaken point.

Take your pick or "all of the above".
For some groups the 2 hours from servers up, are just another farm run.
The only relevant / noteworthy thing is they have to do it with pre-raid gear.
But some groups will also have saved no expense in crafts/boes/archy, for the super sweaties the power differential vs a couple normal clears is not that great.
In short: Nothing to see here, just have some fun in the content with a group of friends, stressing over what some other group, not in your situation did is silly.
And in addition: Nerfs, the first time in classic we having fucking nerfed content from the start.
Cata raids were cleared like 13 years ago. Turns out solved content gets cleared fast.

POLAR lost 2nd, maybe 1st off a bad wipe from Maloriak, really close race for top 3, was really fun to watch.

Great video tho the raids are not nerfed at all, they are all pre-nerf, did you do any 10HC runs on the beta or now on release?
They’re brutal and unforgiving, Al’akir is insane and you have to throw healers at the dude unless you bully it with 358 AVG gear across the team with pitch perfect CD rollings on all classes with zero misses from any player.
I’m not in the 0.1% that did 13/13 on release night but I did do 8/13 with a very close Al’akir kill, granted we only did 20 hours of beta raid testing. I just think people are misinformed with this “post-nerf” content because none actually checked the HPs and it’s all lining up with pre-nerf, even the vast majority of abilities hits with pre-nerf dmg outside of some of the hotfixes on the blind dragon from it being bugged.
Yeah, they are tough.. we started on conclave and after 26 wipes with 0 PTR practice we got it, skipped al’akir and went to BWD, we did every heroic and skipped neff, went to bot, 2 shot halfus and had 15 wipes to the 2 drake boss tonight. Hopefully prog goes better tomorrow. We are at a 352 avg ilvl so I’d say we’re doing okay 😅
it's nice. If it's too difficult for people, they should go to NHC. I just hope they don't nerf it. but so many people are crying again that it's too difficult
They are not pre-nerf. No bosses are in their 4.0 initial version, blizzard clarified that. They took some 4.1 nerfs on different bosses and applied them. However you are right in, it is not what “reddit” and “streamers” are telling you - they are not dead nerfed and free loot.
No, they are post nerf with 4.3 talents. Extremely easy compared to 4.0.3

25 man raid is the format people race for world first in.
