I stayed in that area Casco Antiguo, I spent as little time there as possible, preferring to go where the locals are. I found an amazing parking spot and walked a lot. I loved my time in Panama.

Something very interesting from that last place you recorded is that it was usually meant to be a clock for the Spaniards, since the obelisk creates shadows that correspond with how the sun is moving and could give them an idea of the time. If you go down you would be able to see the 12 cuadrants of the hours in the day

I visited Panama in 2014 with my homeboy. It's definitely a cool place to visit. The best part of my trip was visiting the Panama Canal. and also the hiking trails. For me, Panama is too Americanized, not enough native cultural businesses and restaurants.
The Dominican Republic seemed to offer more locally owned businesses and far less American feel, especially in Santiago, DR and Santo Domingo areas. Either way, stay safe and enjoy.

    • @carloshamdan6063

Second, the US living in Panama is not even 0.1% of the population of Panama 3, Panama and we Panamanian are very proud of our independence and of our CULTURE..which is IMMENSELY DIFFERENT from that of the US, thank God. @@youngak6374 Depending on where you are from the visitor visa could still be viable. CAN/USA still have six months. If you stay the full six, then you may have to stay out thirty days but to be safe, I would cross the border at five months and only stay out a max of three days before returning. In latin america, almost nothing is enforced, so the rules may exist but not followed depending on who you are dealing with. I crossed and returned the same day without a problem. Regarding someone to hire you, it shouldn't be a problem but I don't have anyone I can refer. That is basically what I did years ago before friendly nations. There is always a way...even having a baby should qualify you under family law, lol.

I have never heard of nobody being pimped out, tho, I've heard of white slave traffic that is more or less the same, just with a fancy name. There have been several cases of white slave traffic, but they´ve gotten busted real quick.

I'm glad to see you were abiding by the mask rules (not that you have a choice om the Metro) - we have found it always seem to be Americans who seem to think they don't have to wear a mask (when it is the law when in public). One could understand people exercising on the Cinta Costera or whatever, but some people don't think that the rules apply to them. In the video, I think that most of the locals you passed were masked up. Panamanians (who know about the risks of disease) could probably teach Americans and us British a thing or two about sensible biosecurity (and they are, by nature, quite a bolshie lot - you'll probably see a protest or two around or on the TV news!).

@@MishaElRusito Sorry, but I'd rather listen to someone who knows what there talking about, and the science - including my university-educated biological science-trained daughter!

I wear a mask if near a group or inside. But I do not wear one in Panama when it is 90 outside and no one around. Insanity. I only wear it out of respect to the people obeying their misguided government. I am triple vaxx ✌️

Panama is much more than Panama the Capital that looks like Miami and the Panama Canal, but to enjoy the rest of it full of it culture you have to get out of the capital of Panama and move around to the surroundings and the to the interior of the country, and not be a broke complainer. Panama is not for the poor at heart and in the pockets, lots of culture, varieties and beaches and rivers, not to mention the beautiful Islands

He meant $500 a month? That’s eating once a day and not having money for anything and renting a room. $500 doesn’t go far for a month in panama
