I'm a new graduate in the sphere of security and I'm pursuing a internship..I feel it so difficult..Anyway, thank you for your sharing and tips! It really helps!
Happy to help!
Kindly tell me courses that I could also get internship in cyber security
@@zayyanqureshi853 Cyber security requires you to know almost every sphere of the Internet...Software, hardware, network, cryptographic, web, etc...
@@yiyangzhu7254 what about cloud architect?
Your quite lucky to get internship in your area of interest
Yes, I am grateful for the opportunity. I hope this video does not come off as not being humble or bragging. I posted this video for the sake of showcasing what I did throughout my internship.
@@collinsinfosec U gave a honest overview of your tasks over there, nothing felt like as if u were bragging
Luck is when preparation meets opportunity
@@collinsinfosec bro but how do u apply for such internships..i actually dont get any updates on internship in India...
@@CASTORIOGAMING 🥲 sadly our india doesn't have much kind of internships in Cybersecurity .. because India haven't developed that much in Cybersecurity
Loving the technical talk Grant, keep it up, engages a lot of us more often ;) reminds me of my videos

You can also think about it like alternating service connections

I'm interviewing next week for the App Development - IT department at WWT. Do you have any suggestions on how I can ace the interview? Are there any specific questions you recall they typically ask?
Thanku so much for your udemy free couse as I am a student I was facing difficulty to pay
Happy to help Rachit
did you do any projects to get into this internship, can you give some resume tips for cybersecurity students or people who want to start into cybersecurity?
Nice Bro
congratulation sir
Thanks ☺️☺️
great videos
Do you think it's a good idea for me to study frontend development before pursuing a career in cyber security? Or should I just go straight for cyber security???
I wanna know that, is that important to know the basics of web development and web programing?
@@nacxxj7184 it's not "important"
In order to, identify problems on technologies, you will need to know how they work. You can go straight into cybersec, but you will find yourself learning about programming and web development, operating systems, databases anyway. You don't need to be a good developper to understand how to secure a website. You only need a good understanding of the information flow and the different attacks around it. Same with all the different IT areas, not just web dev.
How to create effective periodic information & cyber security risk reports?
Hearing about your internship makes me nervous starting mine
You are going to do great! Take it one step at a time Kyle, that's what counts. Your managers and colleagues won't expect you to know everything. What matters more, from what I have been told from others, is your willingness to be opened, learn, and communicate. Best of luck!
@@collinsinfosec thank you very much! i think I’m mainly nervous because i dont remember much from my classes from them being online and me being a in person learner but i have the ambition and Ability to learn so i hope everything goes great
@@pspwilliams start a home lab and practice
@@asemibase3697 I never thought about that thank you any recommendations to start with ?
Awesome Grant, I also did my first internship at Cerner beginning of 2020 and lost it due to a pandemic, hopefully, I can get another one, My internship was more about Sys Admin since I had no tech background at all. The good thing is that they mentor and teach you most of the stuff, or they will give access to a course for that specific internship. I am gonna create a Home lab using my MacBook and brush up on some basic skills, then hopefully applied to it. The good thing is that I know HR and my manager from there, but I am kind of scared to reach them about a new internship, do you think it's an appropriate to ask for an internship? Thanks, great vid BTW!
I want to add you in my LinkedIn !
Hi Zuber! Absolutely, you had the opportunity in 2020, reach out to them and see what opportunities they have upcoming. Great idea on the homelab and skill development. Keep it up with the self-study.
@@collinsinfosec thanks Grant, this motivates to study!
@@RakeshKumar-wv4no who me?
@@zuberkariye2299 yes you 😅
Great video, I just applied to about 10 different cyber internships in my city for next summer and I'm feeling hopeful. How much of what you did for your internship was brand new territory for you?
Awesome - that's a great attitude. Almost everything I did was brand new to me. I had never used Terraform or Ansible before.
Is there a way to get an internship with low experience
NICE VIDEO
Wow congratulation bro...! you remind me 13 years ago when I was undergrad studied. I felt at that time there was no more speciality just hack it to make it work. .. and to get the job done 😁😄😃😀. Are you still playing with the old school freebsd box..?
what is freebsd box?
Haha, yes! It's the journey. I don't play around with FreeBSD boxes, but I am sure you still can.
I requested an invitation through linkedin 🙃
@@vrajbharambe1902 it's Unix like bro...🙂 with no allowed commercial apps installed on top their kernel. Long long time ago far in the galaxy ... before open source.😁😄😃
Is easy to get internship for master students through their studying is there specific site to look for ?
I did a google IT support professional certificate. My interest is IT security. I want to get my hands on lab work, I want to practice. I have been studying online for 3months now but I need real-life practice of what I learned. Please I need to do an internship in this field, I don't mind if I get paid or not I just want to learn. I'm available for any recommended internship.
WWT is a very respective company.
I want make career in cybersecurity but confused lot . How and from where to start?
that's really cool even I'm just sharing my experience even got an internship in my college itself that is at EC-Council university and I guess they provide scholarships as well if any body interested can check
What kind of scholarship ? Please can you help me out!?
Provide through the process of Threat Intelligence!
It sounds Devops internship than Cyber
Thanks
Getting my cyber security degree this semester. But I can't find a job or even get a interview.
Worst case scenario you'll have to start at a lower level position like the help desk, best of luck.
ytou could try linkedin number of internships available even I got mine directly after my degree at ec council university best of luck
It's for sure a process. Take it one step at a time. Try to get go to the career fairs at your university if they offer them. Look into contacting the companies directly instead of simply submitting a resume into a massive number of submitted resumes. Email can work! Tell them about your studies.
@@yashikamalhotra2352 how would that work?
What IS preferred answer during an attack ? Défense or attack Reply ?
Attack reply but both
@@forgivvvn just imagine you have only on choise ? under atack , you decide to attack ?

I am a freshman in college majoring in cyber security. Do you have any advice for me?
Love the vids
Hey Colin! Get involved in your university clubs, self-study is a huge component! Start some small scale projects and move from there. Best of luck!
Can you talk about how did you get your internship?
Good question, I got connected to the company through a network connection. Then I received the offer after two interviews. I was supposed to have this internship last year, but due to the pandemic, it was cancelled. This time around I had to only interview once.
Very nice@@collinsinfosec I wish you best luck.
what do i do if im not good at math? i want to do cybersecurity
also did you get a comp sci degree
PLEASE REPLY IM SUBBED
Hi Cody. You don't need to be good at math unless you want to dive deep into the cryptography space. My degree is in cybersecurity. Something to remember, from what I have been told by others and from experience, don't let a degree or prerequisite stand in the way of your interests. You can start today. All you need is a laptop and a willingness to learn.
What school did you attend?
did u have a paid internship
For cybersecurity guy am i need to have College degree in computer
You don't have to. But it definitely can help you receive more opportunities.
I'm pre-medicall student but I am interested in computer science cyber security am I legible for this course or not...
Plz reply me....
Congruent and good luck....😙😙
Hello! Yes, you can learn security on the side. I am not sure what course you are referring to. But there are plenty of them out there.
@@collinsinfosec thank you so much I really appreciate that you have me time!!...
