I remember when you still had under 30k subs and thinking "this guys is too honest" about his stance to it and seems too unmotivated for becoming a bigger channel. I'm so happy to see that your efforts have grated you over 200k subs Grant! Gz and keep it up! Thanks for sharing and caring!
Hey Grant, thanks for this video. It is helpful. Starting a blog is definitely something I should do. Love your very straightforward approach. Thanks again.
The classic TH-cam move, all words, no substance. 😑 (only joking) Valid and fair point! My portfolio, in all transparency, is this channel, my side-projects I showcase, Cybercademy, and working on building a small blog of my own right now (still working on this myself), I decommissioned my one earlier. I will mark this ask as a future video idea to follow-up on. Thanks!
@@collinsinfosec why you feel disrespected grant your a basic IT guy barley knows his way around the terminal dont take this guys comment as disrespect use it to uplift you to pursue more
I'm a student in a cybersecurity university still this my second semester and started taking CS101 and other general subjects I have almost the same subjects you had in your degree vid so what's the best thing I can do to get ahead of the curve?
I would like to have an advice from you...I am interested to learn about cyber security but I am not specialised in computer skills ....can I learn cyber security as skiller
Can you expand on where one can get project ideas? Obviously Google, but are you identifying emerging vulnerabilities or stories within cybersecurity and figuring out ways to replicate it virtually, or would you recommend checking the internet for ideas? Thank you.
After editing the video, this was one element I thought I was missing in this video. My apologies. I recommend getting started looking at www.cybercademy.org/project-ideas
anyone wants to connect over discord and learn together? I'm usually spending my free time doing crack mes but I don't mind taking a peek at other projects
"@krystalmarie5637, what I'm saying is that for a basic IT job, you don't necessarily need a portfolio. However, for more advanced positions, a portfolio becomes essential because those jobs are more competitive, and having a portfolio can set you apart from others going for the same role.

Hey! Thank you for the kind words @axelcodr, it's always a work in progress and I have a lot to learn.
This is the most straightest (no bs) and truthful answer/advice I've heard in a while. Good work, and hope to see more content and learn from you.

I don't feel disrespected. I think @jakerobb7 brings up a valid point and something that would have been beneficial for the video.

Guys their is no need for a portfolio if you do basic work like grant
Can you elaborate? Are you saying you don’t need it if you have entry level experience?
