I would recommend whichever distribution is going to be general purpose enough for your needs. For what you are saying, I would recommend a desktop friendly Linux distribution. I am still rocking the Windows 10 and Windows Subsystem For Linux (WSL).

Hi! I am still rocking the Windows 10 and Windows Subsystem For Linux (WSL). Not my favorite set up, but locked in because of Adobe software. I "hack" or utilize Ubuntu WSL and VSCode primarily. I don't do a lot with Kali or Parrot OS on the day-to-day as I am not a penetration tester.
I’m currently studying for the Security+ exam and the way you broke down the steps to your wife made it seem so simple! Didn’t know I could gush and learn at the same time, you two are way too cute! 🫶🏽
